I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

Welcome smilingeyes, you can do it. Plumstone, how lovely to get great comments!! I'm still stuck on 10lbs but I've had my DS home on school holidays which isn't helping and we visited family over Easter so realistically I know I can't commit full time until school returns but I'm using a bar for b'fast and shake to help me compensate for anything else happening. Also my bday today but it's ok. Holiday isn't until end of July so I have time to concentrate which is good.

Happy Birthday Mini Flowers not sure if you have tried it but the Exante gooey chocolate pudding would be a very acceptable birthday cake if you are going to be strict!!! I had it last night and with some clotted cream and raspberries it would be amazing but without it was still pretty nice.

Currently on the apple crumble and custard thing for breakfast!!

I was away staying with family and stuck to bars when in the car (did a bit or travelling) but what i discovered was the spagbol pack with some taco flavouring mixed in and then served in lettuce leaves with a table spoon of salsa - its not a taco but pretty nice.

The other pimping action I did was with the cheese and bacon eggs, add in a finely chopped mushroom, red pepper and spring onion, with mixed herbs, pour into a frying pan for a couple mins, and then finish off under the grill, served omelette style - not a Spanish Omelette but actually very good.

Have a lovely birthday!! xx

Littlebears, thank you for your kind message the other day. I know what you mean. I had a fantastic weekend and felt really loved by all my friends and family. I think the photos just came as a bit of a shock.

I am doing okay this week. With it being the holidays I have been out a few times but have tried to stick to low carb meals.

Plum, how lovely to get all those compliments! You deserve it!

Have started drinking green tea which seems to help me a bit. Getting used to the flavour now and I have to say it stops me feeling too hungry at times. However it makes me wee every five minutes so not something I could do at work easily haha.

plumstone · 06/04/2016 12:15

Thanks Walk - I am very impressed that you can drink Green tea!!! I want to drink it but really struggle with the taste - maybe I should try a bit harder Grin I am impressed you let your photo get taken. I am head and shoulders person only in pics, and even then I try and be behind the camera!!!!

So far this week, I have stuck to three packs and 4 litres of water and fingers crossed there will be a 10 as the starting number on Friday!!!

xx

WalkWaddleRun · 06/04/2016 12:19

I didn't even realise half the time so was dancing around manically. I think that was one of the problems, in some of them I was in such odd positions I just look like a blob on the dancefloor...

I am not sure I LIKE green tea. Just something with flavour and I am telling myself it's super healthy!

nickdrakeslovechild · 06/04/2016 13:55

Hi, had my weigh in this week and another 3lb's off and lost another 2Ins off my waist, I am so pleased!

The scales started with a 9 today for the first time in about 6 years.

plumstone · 06/04/2016 14:17

Nicks thats fantastic - so pleased for you - I can only imagine what a 9 looks like on a scale - 7 weeks and I am hopping I find out!!!!!!!!!

Ah yes Walk - the its good for you logic!!! I am like that with water - long ago in what seems like another life time I could drink 7-9 black coffees in a day - and half a litre of water max. in the last 9 weeks I have upped the water to 4 litres a day and as I struggle to drink much more liquid than that am on 1 coffee absolutely 2 max per day - don't feel the benefit - but my body skin is a lot less drier!!

WalkWaddleRun · 06/04/2016 17:51

Does it really make a difference to your skin? That's lovely to hear! Mine isn't bad but there is always room for improvement isn't there?

Well done Nick! I don't even remember when I was last seeing a nine!

I am weighing in kg/lbs but just calculated it and am 14st5lbs. Oh well, it can only go down.

Friday I am going for lunch. You think a protein rich salad would be best? Or something like chicken instead? I can't really not eat.

MiniCooperLover · 06/04/2016 19:53

Nicks, that's brilliant! Well done you. That's great work. I'm in an odd place, I keep trying to restart after Easter but these germs won't leave me alone. The tonsillitis hasn't quite gone and now my jaw and teeth are hurting so I think sinusitis is kicking in so the diet is having to take a back seat for a few more days. Very annoying though.

MiniCooperLover · 06/04/2016 19:54

PS: yes my skin is looking amazing after the huge water increase. Good side effect

plumstone · 08/04/2016 08:42

Morning all, Weighed in at 10.13 which i am so pleased with. That is me getting there - having a lovely holiday and depriving myself of nothin, stuck to the plan but allowed myself, some real meals, and gin - lots of gin!!!!

Came back at 11.1 which was OK and went straight back on plan and back to where I was two weeks ago. Now total focus for the next 6 weeks - deadline May back holiday weekend and hoping for the elusive 9. something

Have a great weekend xx

mckiwi07 · 08/04/2016 11:15

Hi all, I had my first weigh in this morning and have lost 7lb which takes me to 14.1. Quite pleased with that although I was hoping to have made it into the 13's which was probably a bit ambitious. Gearing up for another good week hopefully!

MiniCooperLover · 11/04/2016 07:11

Morning all, school is back and the germs are almost gone do I'm back on it fully today.

plumstone · 11/04/2016 08:26

With you there Mini - Despite being back to pre holiday weight - I have in all honestly faffed since last Monday, so back on three packs a day and 4 litres water till the end of April (MN meet up in the middle but thats it for socialising!) Need to focus, weekend away at the end of May and I so want to be 9.7 or 9.10 really need to reassess due to height and scrawny-ness in face factor!!

Have a great week everyone!! xx

browneyedgirl1974 · 12/04/2016 19:10

Just checking back. Although I am not sticking to plan due to potential gallboadder issue I am still losing but much slower now 11 13. Pleased with that. Exante was tye kickstart I needed.

plumstone · 15/04/2016 16:58

Oooh its quiet - here - another 2 off this week, 10.11 which is good. Really struggled this week with boredom at work!!! Decided by Wednesday to go to 800 calories day if nothing else it gives me something to do at work when I am quiet. Want a stone off by the end of May and more than happy for this to take 6 weeks - which is my deadline. Will then reassess all goals measurements and how I look. I am beginning to think that 9.7 will make me look a tad gaunt but am not committing to anything till then!!!

Have a great weekend! x

mckiwi07 · 15/04/2016 20:46

I lost 4lb this week meaning I have lost 11lb in my first two weeks, delighted! Am not finding it too hard yet...

Myfirstbornisacollie · 16/04/2016 07:12

It is quiet at the moment! I have been reading but as I hadn't posted in a while this dropped off 'my posts'
I've found a routine that I'm happy with and so not strictly VLCD but using Exante products twice a day and having a low carb low cal dinner so staying under 1000 cal.
It definitely has kick started things 3.5 weeks and just over a stone lost. Starting to get comments on weight loss which is always motivating Smile

plumstone · 16/04/2016 13:21

Hi Collie, yep with you on the kick start, and then calorie counting and under 1000 is the way to go!!

NickNacks · 17/04/2016 13:23

Hello everyone, super impressed with everyone who is still going, it's a long slog isn't it?!

I've lost another 2lb this week and so currently my loss stands at 37lb.

I'm 14 stone on the nose so if I lose next week I'll drop in to the 13's Grin I started at 16.9!!

Thanks for keeping me company, it's great to read about all your losses and very motivating Flowers

How is everyone doing? Who is still on plan?

I'm plodding on, got in to size 16 jeans yesterday (started in 20's) so feeling better about the holiday wardrobe. Five weeks to go....

OP posts:
plumstone · 21/04/2016 08:35

Thats brilliant Nick - love smaller clothes - not sure if I have been premature throwing out everything too big for me!!

Currently 24lbs down!!!

nickdrakeslovechild · 21/04/2016 09:55

Morning, you dropped off my watch list!

Brilliant losses still, Nick 37lbs is amazing and Plum well done on 24! Isnt it a good feeling getting into those smaller jeans Grin I am now 9st 6lbs from 12st 1lb so down 36lb!!!!!!!!!

I was 9st 5lb pre pregnancy 5 years ago ahem but I am thinner now as I can get into items I couldn't then. I want another 7 off to take me to 8st 13 which will be my smallest in about 15 years and gives me 6lb buffer to reign it in if I start to put it on again IYSWIM? I am the wrong side of mid 40's and with me this was a now or never thing as I know it would be harder and harder the longer I left it.

Are you all getting comments now from people? my neighbour saw me yesterday and said "bloody hell, how much weight have you lost?"" and I was told I was "hot to trott!"" by a work colleague!

oh if you are near an aldi, they do a chargrilled chicken or mango chicken salad bowl that is 140 and 108 calories the whole bowl. As I am now starting to introduce one or 2 meals now I have stocked up on these, they taste amazing.

plumstone · 21/04/2016 10:57

Hi - Nickdrake - good to know re chicken salad - I am also adding in a couple of small meals each week so this will be good

I turned 40 at the start of the year and was determined not to see the summer fat!! Comments are weird - I saw friends and family at Easter and the comments were very mixed - family and some friends so supportive - DB didn't notice - really wouldn't expect him to to be honest!!!

Some friends were very Hmm about the whole thing almost a bit dismissive - I don't really care - my inner bitch was "well I look better than you and we both know it!!"

9st 6 is amazing - what height are you , I am 5ft 6 and think that 10 will be my limit - but not making a decision till I see it on the scales - like you I want a buffer and in perfect world living between 9.10 and 10.2 will be the way forward.

xx

nickdrakeslovechild · 21/04/2016 11:30

I am only 5ft 1! A few people have been a bit funny, but as you say the inner bitch came out and it's only them being jealous. The people I care about have been so supportive.

I'm just so thrilled with my "look" now and I feel 20 years younger, but going bankrupt with all the clothes I am buying Grin I have also thrown everything big away, if I get bigger I really do not have any clothes. The other thing which is weird, I had lots of clothes that I loved but was too big to get into and now I can, I dont love them at all!
