I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

Haven't lost any bastard weight in five days and 100 percent. Fist period arrived today though since having baby. Could that be why or am I doing something wrong? Drinking plenty x

plumstone · 23/03/2016 08:34

Hi all, into the final holiday countdown - and after a quick pre holiday weigh in - was a fabulous 10.13 - cannot remember when I last saw a 10 as the first number. However doesn't count till tomorrow!!!!!

Queen, yes 4litres is a lot, but boy does it help, shakes will go away and then ketosis kicks in and there is a blissful state of not hungry!

Little Bears - don't worry TOTM finished for me today so I am expecting a loss, only ever loose 1-2 pounds that week, then get a bigger loss once everything settles down so don't panic and reassess the day after it finishes. Having done this for about 7 weeks, I can report on a four week cycle its two weeks of 3-5 pounds then period week of about 1-2 then fourth week of 3-4. Someone - may of been this thread might have been another, said that a good way to look at it is over a month which takes periods and the odd meal out into consideration. Good luck and "power through" xx

Superwitchy · 23/03/2016 10:45

Hi everyone, 4lbs off this week which isn't great for a first week, but I had a rocky start Blush. I'm in ketosis now so that should help - just in time for the holidays! Good luck to all.

MiniCooperLover · 23/03/2016 11:37

Great losses ladies. Lovemylottlebears, try and be patient. If you're doing it right it will work! Honestly, it'll be ok.

Having a tough week here, had to go to school loads for meetings this week as they don't think my DS (nearly 5) is progressing as well as he should in Reception. I appreciate the extra assistance from them but the expectations on these little children now is huge so I've struggled not to eat and eat badly. I've resisted so far and stuck to plan.

Msqueen33 · 23/03/2016 17:15

Hugs Mini. Two of my kids have Sen and often the result of a meeting ends in a dive for the chocolate. Is good he's getting extra help now but the education system is scary! And frankly the pressure on the kids is frightening.

Day two and hungry and light headed. I basically want to eat my own arm. Am downing the water still.

Myfirstbornisacollie · 23/03/2016 19:53

Day 3 and woke with horrible headache but otherwise feeling good, the hunger has eased and a pinched a dipstick at work and ketones ++ Smile
Sneaky mid week weigh in 5.5 off feeling motivated now!!

plumstone · 24/03/2016 08:12

Today is a great day - I am officially 10.13 with a BMI of 24.7 which is HEALTHY - I am so happy that despite the most bollocking SH*T week at work I am heading off on my Easter holidays feeling and looking better than I have in ages. 22 pounds off in 8 weeks which I am delighted with, had some meals out made sensible choices - who knew one doesn't have to have chips with everything Grin , which I really enjoyed and then straight back on it the next day,

Collie - I love a cheeky mid week weigh in - keeps the motivation going!!

Queen33 - keep going you are doing great I don't envy kids these days - think the hippy 70s were definitely the time to be a child! eating dirt and not knowing what germs were the way forward - no, ok then that was just me!!

Witchy - a loss is a loss.

Am off for Easter so may be a bit sporadic with posting - string with family who believe that wifi needs to be switched off after 10pm till 7am in case people steal it - obviously people can't steal it outwith this time frame Hmm

Take care, stay focused and for every piece of chocolate, 500mls of water!! Have a great Easter! xx

MiniCooperLover · 24/03/2016 10:36

That's brilliant Plumstone, well done !!! 10lbs down in 2 weeks here, very pleased Smile

plumstone · 24/03/2016 11:08

Go Mini - and soon you will be!!!

BatterednotBruised · 25/03/2016 07:23

Well done to everyone! I am a returner as have had great losses in the past on this diet but due to various reasons failed to maintain so here I am in my 50s at my heaviest ever and more determined to sort this out than I ever remember. I am on second week and have not cheated once but the weight isn't really coming off this time and I don't know why. Maybe it's my age or menopause but I am so disappointed. Maybe I have yo-yo'd so much my body just doesn't know how to react to a vlcd any more :(

My bmi is 39 so desperate to stick to this and won't give up but only 4lb down after 10 days is so hard and worried my counsellor won't believe I didn't cheat! Will read the whole thread to keep me motivated today and just keep at it.

PayAttentionNigel · 28/03/2016 17:51

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a good Easter? I've had a few family meals this weekend so decided not to weigh in this week and just wait till next Sunday as don't want to feel too de-motivated. Still back on the diet as of today and feeling ok :)
Hi battered, well done for loosing weight in past, shows yo can do it :) how did you get on over the weekend?

WalkWaddleRun · 29/03/2016 09:05

As predicted I found it hard at work but replaced breakfast and dinner and had a light evening meal every night. Just come back from my hen do too which involved lots of eating and drinking. So overall I have lost two kg which seems more than fair in two weeks of not really being on plan properly.

Easter holidays now so I'm properly on it. Don't mind if I have some headaches/feel more sluggish than usual. I cried about the hen do pictures. I can't look like that for the wedding. I had such a fab time but the pictures were awful

Lovemylittlebears · 29/03/2016 11:13

Hey gang. Hope all hAd a nice Easter. Only two off this week Grin. Going to give it another week and see if I lose a bit more otherwise will go back to just the healthy eating as had been losing 1.5-2 pounds a week on that anyway. Walk waddle- try not to feel to sad about the pictures. The main thing is that you enjoyed yourself with people that you love. I know easier said then do. I really don't want to be fat for my wedding either but my best friend had a bitch of a year last year and lost pretty much her whole family quite tragically so it's kind of put things in perspective for me. I still want to be slim and look and feel good and will defo get healthier and look a bit better some how, but it's the people that will be there to share your special day with you that's the most important thing and I bet your husband will think you look gorgeous. Xx

nickdrakeslovechild · 29/03/2016 14:54

Hi, 3 off this week.

I wanted to carry on to the end of April, but more likely to be mid May now as still need another 20lbs off, which should give me a 5lb buffer.

I didn't have a single bit of chocolate this weekend, but I did have about 5 vodka and diet lemonades so happy with 3.

Myfirstbornisacollie · 29/03/2016 15:31

I weighed this morning 10 pounds off in week 1, so pleased. Very motivated to stick with it. I did end up having a couple of low cal low carb meals over the week rather than a 3rd shake as I had meals out. Does anyone else do this regularly? Don't want to stuff up my weight loss but don't want to give up social life completely

questions2008 · 30/03/2016 11:36

Wow so many great losses and joiners - I've been totally absent past 3 weeks - well done to all!

I've struggled since the 4th week (when you're supposed to add in a little "real" food to the plan" to get back to just shakes/bars and although I've only eaten healthy things (proteins, veg etc) my weight loss slowed and my TOTM hit, which lasts about 10 days!!! But weighed in this morning and I've now lost 22lbs in total in just under 7 weeks, so I'm pretty happy with that, would be over the moon to lose another 20lbs over the next 2 months.

The only time I fell off the wagon was with a bit of left over white choc ganache (that stuff kills me!!). still trying to get back to only 3 shakes/bars a day, work in progress...

MiniCooperLover · 31/03/2016 08:36

Very good losses all !!! I fell off the wagon a bit over Easter. MIL was actually v supportive when we ate at her house but we also ate out a bit. No damage done though which is good. I now have my sons germs and can barely swallow and have really sore ears. Trying to force a bar down so I can take some Neurofen.

nickdrakeslovechild · 31/03/2016 22:47

Did a mid week unofficial weigh in and looks like another 2lbs off, I went shopping today and bought skinny jeans!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omfg it felt amazing, I LOVE this diet.

I carried my DD upstairs tonight and realised she weights just a 3lbs more than I have lost.

Wow Myfirstbornisacollie that's an amazing loss. Some low carb meals are ok, I have done a few over easter and still lost. Mainly roast dinners with no potatoes. As you say, you still have to live a life.

mckiwi07 · 01/04/2016 10:59

Can I please join this thread? I have read about all your losses and am feeling inspired! I restarted CWP today after loosing almost 3 stone around 18 months ago and actually really enjoyed the plan. Life has since got in the way and have put on around a stone and a half since then. I have 12 weeks til my holiday so am determined to stick to Step 2 100% until then and hopefully lose 3 stone. I weighed in this morning at 14.8 Blush

NickNacks · 01/04/2016 11:03

You're very welcome to join us. Smile

I had my weigh in this morning, 2.2lb off over two weeks though I haven't been on plan 100% as I've been ill with tonsillitis. However still pleased it was a loss and didn't put on.

Total now = 34 lb.

OP posts:
mckiwi07 · 02/04/2016 09:15

34lb is amazing! I survived day 1 by going to bed early!! It was ok apart from terrible heartburn from drinking so much water. How quickly do you tend to get into ketosis?

nickdrakeslovechild · 02/04/2016 09:23

Wow 34lbs is fantastic! I go into ketosis around day 4. Day 3 was the worst. I find keeping busy has helped and once I got into Ketosis I have more energy so that helps.

MiniCooperLover · 03/04/2016 09:09

Hello all, no loss for me this week, Easter weekend took its toll and I've had an ear infection and tonsillitis so DH has been insisting I eat at least a little of normal food to keep me going. But I'm starting to feel better today so I've had a shake for breakfast and will hopefully have a result, even if only little, by Thursday which is my weigh in day.

smilingeyes79 · 03/04/2016 11:47

Morning all, new to CWP... I'm on day 3, doing step 2.
I have about 8/9 stone to lose (eeek)!
So far I'm ok, managing my hunger with water and shakes... but tomorrow is my first day at work being on plan. As a big bird (lol) I always worry about people knowing I'm dieting, adds pressure and increases the amount of people watching what I do / dint eat. Only 2 people at work know so I'm hoping to just get on with it and try to avoid the work pitfalls and stacks of cakes, sweets and breakfast runs that are done (fingers crossed)
First weigh in is Tuesday, end of day 5 ... hoping for a few pounds and then next week a mega loss :-)
Anyone with hints / tips to keep your mind focused and resist temptation? Thanks Smile

plumstone · 04/04/2016 08:26

Morning Ladies, just back in the real world this morning, and back from holidays - your losses have been fantastic, I had an amazing time away and had promised myself that I would be back on plan today and then not weigh in till Friday, however couldn't resist it this morning, needed to now what the damage was, and I have put on a grand total of 2 pounds since being away - absolutely delighted with that and plan to have it back off by Friday.

Reaction to weight loss was mind blowing - family were so pleased for me, and friends despite going down the "don't loose any more" or "its not healthy to loose by eating less" were grudgingly complimentary, and admitted seeing me so happy was lovely!

Also and this was the biggest thing for me was that my adored levi jeans that have not fitted since my 30th birthday party, didn't just slip over my arse, but are actually loose around my waistband look - even if I say so - amazing.

So I have come back totally motivated and just really happy - sorry for the self indulgent post - but I have not felt this positive for a very long time!!!

Have a great week everyone!! xx
