I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

Awesome Mini so good to be in a lower stone bracket - I always think the hardest 2 pounds are from eg. 12.1 to 11.13 - so little yet so motivational!!!!!!!

an inspiring 1 pound loss this week Hmm yet tis still a loss - just want to see 10 as a starting number.

NSV was saw colleagues at a dinner last night I had not seen since Christmas and the comments were lovely!!!! So motivational to keep going - half way to target....

Really need Eye of the Tiger to be playing in a constant loop in my brain to keep me going!!

Lovemylittlebears · 18/03/2016 16:26

Wow two pounds overnight how did you do that? I need to shift two to hit 13:13 - come on body. How quickly is everyone losing inches? Xx

browneyedgirl1974 · 18/03/2016 18:51

Great loss mini. I lost about a pound this week but did have a midweek binge. Also going away for a weekend tomorrow so any loss next week will be a bonus.

browneyedgirl1974 · 18/03/2016 18:52

Not measured inches I am afraid but ai know the drawstring on my joggers has to be pulled tight.

PayAttentionNigel · 18/03/2016 21:17

I've not taken any measurements either but my chocolate/cake tum mumtum's def going down! My jeans actually fit now rather than dig in :)

Been a tough day today, feeling really tired, serves me right for being all smug yesterday ha.

Myfirstbornisacollie · 19/03/2016 07:41

Very excited to find a support thread, can I join please?? I'm place marking in anticipation of starting Exante on Monday. I ordered a job lot of 60 and I've had delivery notification that it's arrived at work.
I've decided to take the plunge with VLCD as I've yoyo'd for years on slimming world got to target for wedding 7.5 years ago but struggled since. It's all been harder since having DD 2.5 years ago.
I haven't weighed yet but suspect I will be around 14stone. I'm 5'8" and can only just about squeeze into my generous size 14s Sad
Target would be 11.5 stone but will take it by the half stone.
Looking forward to not having to think so hard about food prep and knowing I can stick to a plan at work.
Some inspiring stories on the thread look forward to chatting more

PayAttentionNigel · 19/03/2016 07:50

Hi collie! Lots of support here when you need it, if you can start drinking a bit more water this weekend it might help you next week. The first few days are the hardest but I promise that by the end of the first week it is so much easier :)

Lovemylittlebears · 19/03/2016 12:50

Wahoo into the 13 stone mark and I'm no longer obese but overweight - wahoo :) does anyone think 7 inches around the waist is not possible in three months. Wondering if I should get my wedding dress turned into a corset back just in case zip doesn't do up. Hi collie x

PayAttentionNigel · 20/03/2016 08:07

Well done Love! I'm not sure if 7 inches is possible, would depend on how much weight you hold around there and how quickly you tend to loose it in that area?
If I were you I'd look into where to get the corset back done how much it would cost and how long it would take etc so you know how much time you've got to make a decision :)

Well weighed in this morning and am 12.5! That's 7lb loss in my second week! Was not expecting that at all (did start my period on Thursday though and google'd it this morning and I could have been retaining water last week hence my poor first week loss) so 11lbs loss over two weeks, am loving this diet.

Good luck for Monday collie and I hope you're getting on OK Super and Walk

nickdrakeslovechild · 20/03/2016 08:43

Morning Everyone , not checked in for a while, started on 6th Jan at 12st 1 and non official weight in this morning at 10st 3! but PayAttentionNigel 7" off my waist and 4" off my hips!! So yes it is possible and I also had 2 weeks off due to a holiday with lots of booze and cake. I am a short arse so my fighting weight is just under 9st.

Superwitchy · 20/03/2016 17:03

Hello Lovechild, you're doing so well! I'm short too, so aiming for somewhere around 9st7lbs but at 11.7 I'd be grateful for 10st

Lovemylittlebears · 20/03/2016 19:54

Thanks nige good plan :) I am huge around waist. Baby now 13 weeks so no excuses. My stomach kind of sags aswell like a foof curtain lol... Guess it adds to the suspense in the bedroom ;) haha. Love child well done that's amazing progress. I'd be chuffed with your results x

nickdrakeslovechild · 20/03/2016 20:48

Thank you, its been a hard slog and some weeks only 1lb loss, which is sole destroying.

I have got rid of my bigger clothes and now in some I haven't work in over 5 years! I have got vouchers for my birthday so when I get to goal weight I am going shopping!

plumstone · 20/03/2016 21:11

Hi all, totally mentally busy weekend, and apart from lunch today, I have been very good! Now the proud owner of Gap skinner jeans, which in healed boots are the most flatteringly slim leg making thing i own.

Also has anyone tried the hot cross bun bar from Exante? oMG I think I could probably live on them for ever - so good but will have to stagger them out!

Well, done Nick 10.3 is the dream for me, utopia is 9.7 Howevr I don't think the bank balance will cope with all the new clothes, just binned everything that is too big, and the stuff I couldn't bear to part with is at an alterations place the be taken in! Just hope it works!

Not weighing in till Thursday so being very positive - good luck for the coming week xoxo

MiniCooperLover · 21/03/2016 07:42

Welcome to any newbies and well done on losses !!! Bit of a bad weekend, food and drinks at a friends house (stayed over), I tried to be careful re food and not drink too much, but not as good as if I'd been able to stick to plan. I guess it's part of trying to make this plan fit into our lives. So back on track this morning. Easter is going to be hard. We are staying with MIL from Friday to Monday and I know she'll be very dismissive of this diet, will consider it a fad and be offended if I don't want food.

Lovemylittlebears · 21/03/2016 09:50

Does anyone think I could get away with a skinny vanilla latte on the diet and stay in ketosis? I know you shouldn't but then if you look at the ingredients in those bars I'm wondering if one would really do any harm? X

plumstone · 21/03/2016 14:02

Hi Little Bears - I would say not - sorry!! not necessarily because of the ingredients - I look at bags of Pork scratchings and think its only 147 calories for a little bag, and its carb free. But because of the whole "do you need it" concept. Each of the food packs gives you everything you need and I am trying to take food out the whole equation till the excess flab as gone. Now do not ask me to give up caffeine that will never happen, its black all the way here!! Also - and before I say this I am not into mumbo jumbo, mindfulness psycho babble at all - however every time I have thought, ooh have crisps, have cheese, have gin, I have done the whole big breath, and regroup thing, and thought WHY do I want it? WHAT will it do to me? Now there are a few occasions coming up over the next week or so when I will be having gin, it will be awesome BUT it is planned for, but I want to get into a position where food is fuel, and not a habit or emotional crux - cheese without knowing it is remarkable supportive to me Grin

Sorry for the long rant - but essentially no put the latte down, have fizzy water or a black coffee!!! x

Lovemylittlebears · 21/03/2016 16:12

Very good point well made plum thank you :)

browneyedgirl1974 · 21/03/2016 16:54

So 1st good news. Down to 12st 6 today. Now the bad. Had a meal Saturday night and yet again had severe stomach pains and vomiting. Say Gp this afternoon and he suspects gallstones. Going to have to be really careful now with food so I may just go low fat low calorie for now. Will keep checking back though and will use up my exante but can't be so strict anymore.

plumstone · 21/03/2016 17:12

Hi Brown, Defenately do not risk your health - my galls stone issue is practically non existent at the moment - doc says was caused by eating too much food in one sitting - so Exante is fine!! However she did say that if the attacks flare up I will be off this way of eating for life!!!! Take care and Flowers xx

browneyedgirl1974 · 21/03/2016 18:08

Thanks plum I really don't know what to do food wise. I don't even feel hungry. Still have niggling pains. Know I need to eat.

Myfirstbornisacollie · 21/03/2016 20:43

So I weighed in and started today 13st 12.5 horrendous but hopefully will be lower soon
Stuck to the plan 100% and feeling ok, slightly headachy but that's not unusual after a day at work.
Bear I would consider having a corset back put in if it would relieve you stressing if you don't quite get to 7" off it will do the rest for you!

plumstone · 22/03/2016 13:19

Hi Brown - how would soup work - that was always by go to for about 48 hours after an attack - nothing too rich, I went for a covent Garden one and then would puree to within an inch of its life!! then heat and consume slowly - funnily enough would always be about 3/4 pounds down a few days after an attach - clearly de to volume!! - can't believe I went years just coping with the pain and not eating less on a permanent basis!!!

Collie - don't fret about the first number - you will never see it again - just keep drinking lots of water, and fantasise about being smaller!!

browneyedgirl1974 · 22/03/2016 23:05

Thanks plum pain much more manageable now and eating fairly normally.

Msqueen33 · 22/03/2016 23:11

Collie, I started today. I've visited the loo a lot having consumed 4 litres of water. I am however starving hungry and feeling the hunger shakes.
