I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

Funnily enough the minute I don't fit something I bin it - only ever kept 2 pairs of Levis (now almost too loose, wore 10 years ago for my 30th and never since) and two dresses - one of which I am wearing today - the other - God alone knows what made me buy it originally!!!!!

nickdrakeslovechild · 21/04/2016 18:52

I usually sell lots of stuff, but the big clothes go in a bag to the charity shop don't want it hanging around. I have about 20 pairs of jeans to sort through next. Might do it this weekend while I am motivated.

I have booked a John lewis personal shopper today too!

plumstone · 22/04/2016 08:27

This mornings weigh in has been a day of two sides. stayed the same at 10.11. up a pound from mid week weigh in but the same as last Friday so its a stay the same for me.

On the plus since last Saturday I have had three meals out which involved creamy soups, chips, burgers and pizza. Generally quite pleased that I can still indulge and as long as the water stays in and when I am not out I can still have my packs I will take a "stay the same" lets face it life is not sustainable on a constant 3-4 packs a day!

Have a day out tomorrow - which will be awesome - but then I am back focused - for 4 weeks!!!!

Have a great day everyone!!

nickdrakeslovechild · 22/04/2016 10:31

Absolutely Plum, that's a great attitude. I don't think I will lose this week either as I have got 3 parties this weekend! And I am in the middle of making a huge chocolate birthday cake and I am going to have a slice! or 2

plumstone · 22/04/2016 11:35

Never mind the slice of cake Nick - for me it is the licking of bowl which is always lethal Grin

mckiwi07 · 22/04/2016 14:04

3rd weigh in today and have lost a stone in 3 weeks. Absolutely delighted. I don't feel hungry at all although I do miss food at times. Love this diet!

NickNacks · 24/04/2016 07:55

Wow some huge losses here, so amazing, well done everyone Grin

Bowl licking would also be my downfall Blush

My holiday is now less than 5 weeks away and I'm feeling spurred on for one final weight loss push.

My weigh in on Friday was a 2.6lb loss and so total is now 39.2lb. My next small target is to reach 3 stone so 2.8lb to go.

Keep going everyone! How are your weekends going?

I haven't been on here since the start of March. Started Exante, then came down with what I thought was a virus, but turned out to be horrible side effects from some new medication I had started. My consultant kept me on them for 6 weeks, before I saw a new consultant who took me off them straight away, which then resulted in two weeks of horrible withdrawal. Hmm

I was supposed to start a different med last week - one that's much more effective with far fewer side effects, but the hospital and GP have lost the paperwork between them, so I have given up waiting and am going to restart Exante again tomorrow.

I have a music festival to go to at the end of May (just over 4 weeks) and really need to feel better about my appearance.

I still have at least 4 stone to lose overall, but if I can drop a stone by the festival I will feel a bit better.

I'm very impressed with everyone's weightloss so far - well done everyone! I'm also sad and angry that I could be so much further along if it hadn't been for my evil medication. No point in brooding though, need to get on and do it now, at least then I'll still stand a chance of looking and feeling better by the summer.

mckiwi07 · 29/04/2016 19:24

It's quiet on this thread! Had a weigh in today and lost 3lbs which takes my loss to 17lbs in 4 weeks. Struggling a bit today though, am fantasising about chips...

browneyedgirl1974 · 05/05/2016 13:38

Hi. I did exante for about 2 months and lost about 2 stone. I than stopped due to suspected gall bladder or pancreas issues but still managed to not gain any weight. In fact lost a couple more pounds. After a stressful month of tests etc the Gp thinks I had a virus so back on exante for 1 more month and will review after that.Weighed myself yesterday at 11 11.

plumstone · 05/05/2016 16:52

Hi All, I did Exante from 1st Feb till 31st March and lost a stone and half - delighted with it, was 10.13 for my holiday - put on 2 ponds having a great holiday but really watching my portions and using Exante Bars and pastas when I could. Have slowly phased Exante out since11th April with MFP and sticking to between 1000 and 1200 calories per day. Am down to 10.8 (well I was this morning but don't log till a Friday) and feel great. It has really retrained my brain to food three times a day, no snacking, no alcohol unless its an occasion, and weighing my food - it was a revelation to learn how little I actually need to function - Also and this is key is water, lots of water like 4 litres a day lots!!! Makes a massive difference!!

mckiwi07 · 06/05/2016 13:14

Well I only lost 1lb this week despite being on plan religiously. My consultant thinks I'm not drinking enough water so am going to aim to increase that this week and hope for a good loss next week. How is everyone else getting on?

NickNacks · 07/05/2016 10:02

I lost 2lb this week and also think I'm not drinking enough, I'm lazy! Blush

So here's to us all drinking more water this week.... Good luck!

Popped in to see how everyone's doing 😊 I'm still doing my mix of Exante and low carb/cal meals (with less restricted weekends) and have now lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks and feeling great.
Feel like I've improved my unhealthy relationship with food and am hopeful that I'll lose another stone to get to my goal weight by the end of July.
I won't post much as I know most of you are on the 100% plan but good luck all!

LordoftheTits · 20/05/2016 11:43

I've got a meeting with a new consultant tonight and I can't wait to get started. I did well losing weight with low carbing up to my wedding a few weeks ago but we ate tonnes on honeymoon and I've been terrible ever since. I'm up at least a stone, my clothes are unbearably tight and I feel so tired and sluggish. I'll be starting tomorrow morning and it can't come quick enough, I want at least three stone off and to feel confident in my clothes instead of living in leggings Sad

Poppledopple · 20/05/2016 13:17

Just found this thread - have read it all thru....well done to you all on spectacular losses and your motivational posts. Would be really brilliant of PP who are on maintenance kept posting about their methods to keep it off as that is my greatest fear (you can tell I have been here before many times..) so we can help each other out. I read a review of research recently that said that dieters need to keep their weight stable for a whole 12 months after reaching goal so that hormones, metabolism, behaviours etc are set in an established pattern....so need to keep posting here right thr 2017!

I am doing CD and in the middle of week 4. I have been posting on the 4st to loose thread - won't repeat those posts but would find it helpful around the specific detail of VLCD to post here.

So lost 9lb in week 1, 5lb in week 2 - but only 2lb in week 3 ... when I went off piste - so a stone in 3 weeks. Determined to stick religiously to this plan as shifting 4lb a week gets me to my goal in half the time of other diets - but as this is tough there is no point cheating and only loosing 2lb which you could do by stuffing you face at SW.....

The next 8lb is my current goal as it gets me out of 'obese' and into overweight and then the numbers start with 11 -- want to get down to 9.12 by my holiday at the end of July. Started at 13.8.....

This week has been tough - been v v hangry - I think it is the pain of having to go back into ketosis after my diversion last weekend. But I am just focussing on 'Perfect Days' - I have had 4 in a row this week since last weigh in on Tues - tempted to do a mid week weigh to encourage me through the weekend.

mckiwi07 · 20/05/2016 17:34

I weighed in today and lost 4lbs which takes my total to 24lbs in 6 weeks. I am now into the 12's and am now overweight and no longer obese Grin Really delighted with this. It's good to hear how other people are doing as it's such a hardcore way of losing weight that lots of motivation is required!

LordoftheTits · 20/05/2016 22:10

I met my consultant and she's totally fab, I really liked her and we chatted for ages. We agreed on blind weigh ins so I have no idea how much I weigh (though I have a rough idea) and she will just tell me how much I've lost next week rather than my weight. Weigh in will be 1pm on Saturday 28th - I'm so excited to get started!

LordoftheTits · 21/05/2016 13:46

Day one is here and aside from intrusive thoughts of Papa Johns pizza I'm feeling okay. Had a coffee first thing and an icy chocolate mint shake at 12pm. Two more to go...

Poppledopple · 21/05/2016 14:54

I had a sneaky mid week weigh at the pharmacy - looks like I am 4lb down - but different scales so will not hold my breath - will wait til official weigh in with consultant on Tues. Looks like "perfect days" are paying off.

mckiwi - that is great news and an impressive loss. I am 2 weeks behind you so it is motivational to see your numbers -- also I have the same next milestone as you - out of obese into overweight - looks like I might have be 1/2 way there. Feeling good today. I think the horror I was feeling during the week was having to go thru the pain of getting back into ketosis again after my cheating weekend - dont really want to experience that again.

welcome Lord have a great week - 'eyes on the prize" etc keep posting here for support.

LordoftheTits · 21/05/2016 19:11

Three packs are done. Super thick icy mint choc shake, a chocolate orange bar and a mac and cheese with a bit of onion granules and mustard powder added. I've also had 2L of water so far. I wish I could hibernate this first week away, I know it's going to be awful by day four!

Poppledopple · 22/05/2016 17:57

Lord you will be fine - you are motivated and keeping 100% on the plan will give you brilliant results in the first week especially - just stick at it.

LordoftheTits · 22/05/2016 18:17

Thank you! I've had two products today and I'm just about to have a nice long bath to stretch out the time before my last pack. I have an interview for a promotion tomorrow and I'm a bit worried about being fuzzy headed but I figure a big coffee beforehand should help with that! 👌🏻😁

WeCouldBeHeroes · 22/05/2016 20:25

Hello! So glad I found this thread. Need some inspirational stories. I am meeting my consultant for the first time tomorrow. Really determined to stick this out.
However, my life does seem to revolve around socialising over (quite a few) drinks. Has anyone had this, and how do you cope with suddenly not drinking at all?

mckiwi07 · 22/05/2016 20:54

Well I just tried on all my 'too small' clothes tonight and almost all of them now fit!! Am delighted and it has given me the motivation to stick with the plan for another 4 weeks when I go on holiday. That should hopefully be me at target. I can hardly believe im so close to target (a stone away). Too anyone just starting out on a vlcd my advice is to stick to plan 100% and don't be tempted to cheat as it will just make the process longer and the beauty of these diets is that you can drop weight quickly. Once you get started the weight loss will help keep you motivated
