Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Hey at size 8-10 you are definitely thin.

Not2 a size 12 is definitely slim. I am very happy to be size 12!

Not2bObvious · 23/11/2015 20:40

I'd like to be a truer size 12 like you must be imust (you must be very slim at your height and weight) I'm so vain about it, I just won't buy size 14 anymore and hate wearing any remaining size 14's I have. But I know truthfully I'm a size 14
emz bmi is only one tool of measurement and if you're 8-10 at this weight then another stone and you'll be at face/figure - you know the chose your face or chose your figure. I have 2 sisters, both very slim (like 7 stone and 8 stone) and while they are both older than me, they look decades older. And I'll say nothing about their bone health. I feel like an elephant beside them but a younger looking elephant who won't crack a hip if I fall over.

Not2bObvious · 23/11/2015 20:41

Arg!! choose not chose - always trips me up that one

JontyDoggle37 · 24/11/2015 06:43

Morning. Down to 10.8.25, so getting back to what I was last week. Really want to get down to at least 10.7, hopefully 10.6 this week, to have any hope of hitting goal before Christmas. Cold is coming on fast, but I'm trying to go for health-boosting food rather than 'feeding' my cold with toast and chocolate!

Not2bObvious · 24/11/2015 11:41

That's great jonty, sorry you're still suffering but well done on behaving yourself food wise. I did a 5:2 type day yesterday, wasn't starving when I got to work so decided to hang on til lunch and took it from there. Around 650 cals over the day. Only thing was I forgot the insomnia vlc days bring, probably cause of all of the tea/coffee drank! Down to 12.2.2 today. Wasn't as hungry as you might think this morning, managed a 30 min fitness blender hiit workout so feeling very virtuous. Aiming for 1200-1300 today, need to get under 12 soon

JontyDoggle37 · 24/11/2015 14:36

Well done Not2b! Go careful on those v low cal days though.
RIGHT!!!! who is up for a pre-Christmas challenge? Final weigh in 21 December, set your goals now..(can you tell my mojo has returned?!Grin).
My goal is 8lbs loss by 21 December. That's 2lbs a week. Ambitious but doable.
Who's on board????

Not2bObvious · 24/11/2015 14:43

Thanks jonty, I did 5:2 for a long time so I'm no stranger to them. I'm not planning on jumping right back in, even 6:1 might be enough to help the cause right now.
I'd be up for a challenge but final weigh in would have to the 24th for me, Monday's aren't great for weigh in's round mine. Oh yeah and have a big party on the 20th so no hope lol!
Goal for 4 weeks is...hmmm...8 pounds as well. Dream big!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 24/11/2015 17:31

I am 10st 8 and 5/8ths this morning.

Okay Jonty I will join you in aiming for 2lb a week. It is ambitious but completely doable. I love that your mojo has returned and I feel all inspired by your enthusiasm!

Emz449 · 24/11/2015 17:43

Well done on the losses! I'll join you with losing 2 lbs a week, hoping most of it will come off while i'm away Grin

Loungingbutnotforlong · 24/11/2015 20:15

Hi everyone- I am 10st 7. Have bounced this week between 10.8 and 10.5.5 (!) yikes- I will join you on the concerted Christmas effort, not sure I will manage 2lbs a week, but I might as well aim high. In any event, I haven't been below 10.4 for over two years, so will be delighted to get down to 10.3. (4lb loss). I have the Santa run on Sunday, so I should be good on the exercise front this week.
Does anyone else find exercise does not give you more energy? I always feel exhausted the morning after exercise. Good luck everyone! Smile

Francescal88 · 24/11/2015 20:32

Hi all - may I join please?

I went from 17.7 to 13.10 back in 2012 on MFP, but since then I met someone, fell pregnant, had a baby and a break up, weighed myself last week and I was my heaviest ever at bang on 18 stone!

I decided to go with MFP again right away as I like the freedom of being able to eat what I want as long as I stick within my calorie limit. Have stuck with it for seven days and am already down 6lbs to 17.8 - I'm really pleased!

I have a question though - if I happen to go over one day by day 200 cals, is it ok to then go under by 50 cals for the next four days to even it out?

JontyDoggle37 · 24/11/2015 20:45

Welcome Frances! We've actually adopted an approach on this thread which some people had noticed as something skinny people do - soup days. If you eat too much one day, the next is a 'soup' day - doesn't have to actually be soup, it just means you have a lower calorie day to make up for excesses the day before. It's actually a sensible approach to managing your weight in general - so that was the long way of saying 'yes' going 50 calories under should be fine - but always listen to how your body feels.

Emz449 · 24/11/2015 21:00

Welcome Frances good luck with your journey, stick with this thread and you'll find some great inspiration, it has definitely helped me.

Agree with Jonty, if i had a higher calorie day one day i would compensate by having a lower few days to make up for it. It did usually involve soup!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 24/11/2015 21:33

Welcome Frances. Yy to soup days!

I have just looked back at my daily weights sheet to see how much I have lost each month. The most I have lost is 14lb and the least is 7lb in a month - mostly 8lb or 10lb. So another 8lb in the next month is certainly doable. Game on!

Lounging I don't find that exercise gives me any more energy at all. I am feeling rubbish just lately and not exercising at all. I saw the GP last week and he said he thought maybe I am depressed. I am open to that and trying some antidepressants. I know exercise might help me but I will have to wait until I feel better before I can do any!

Bathsheba3 · 24/11/2015 22:05

Hello all! Lovely to check in on everyone's brilliant progress. Everyone are doing so well. I'm still struggling working hard on stuff, but getting there. Good days, bad days.

Less than a week go Emz? Really wish you a lovely holiday and reunion with your bf Wink.

Bathsheba3 · 24/11/2015 22:12

ps Emz - are you taking antibiotics with you ?? Cystitis on holiday from too much sex! can be an utter pain... Wink Wink

Not2bObvious · 25/11/2015 06:17

I find exercise quite good for my mood, but it took some time for that to happen. Sorry to hear you're feeling down imust, I know its a very scary feeling - I felt very low myself this year, work situation/no work situation/other stuff. I managed to fall into a new job with hours that work for me and it's made a world of difference. I was terrified of being diagnosed as depressed, family history etc but it's mostly lifted. Wish I could say something that might help but just to say you're not on your ownFlowers

JontyDoggle37 · 25/11/2015 06:17

Imust sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Did your GP do any blood tests? Because the three most common causes of feeling ' Bleugh' in women are Iron Deficiency, Thyroid Malfunction and hormone imbalance caused by the Pill/Implant/Coil. (I'm doing a lot of research on this at the moment for my business, and also I nearly got prescribed antidepressants myself when it was my implant making me feel dreadful'.). Anti-Ds may well be the right answer, but in worried how many women end up on them without other tests first....Flowers anyway
In other news, I'm 0.5lbs down, to 10.7.5. So only 7.5lb more for this month..There isn't an emoticon for a steely gaze.....Grin

JontyDoggle37 · 25/11/2015 06:20

Sorry Bath forgot to say hello [waves]. Morning Not2b, glad you've been able to resolve your low feelings. I have To go running 3 times a week else I feel very low in myself - need those exercise endorphins!

Not2bObvious · 25/11/2015 08:26

Oh yes to the iron deficiency Imust, thanks for reminding me jonty - when I was diagnosed with the onset of low iron, I read that too. Worth checking. Nice one jonty on making inroads into the lucky 8Wink I'm scared to write my weight down as I'm sure it's just a temporary low...11.13.8!!!! Oh I hope it's the start of something good, if it were I'd have 5.6 to go for our little competition. Just booked the mini'est of mini breaks, going away for Saturday to see Santa and stay over. So I HAVE to be good matches jonty in steely glaring

Emz449 · 25/11/2015 09:28

10'3 this morning! Tomorrows my last weigh day before holiday, I'm letting my friend borrow my scales while I'm away, will have to wait a day until I can weigh myself when I'm back Shock the suspense will kill me!

Hi Bath! Nice to 'see'you, hope things are better for you. Ha I hadn't though of that in all honesty! Maybe I should have!

Tomorrows my last day of work, can't believe how quickly it's gone really, slightly stressed out about my work though. Just trying to make sure that as much work is done before I go and I don't have a mountain of things to sort. Slightly worried that when I get back my emails are going to be ridiculous, but my manager has said that she'll stay on top of things

Diet wise things might not be the best today! We're going to atomic burger for lunch (look it up if you haven't heard of it- it's amazing!) and I fully intend to get a great burger with sweet potato fries. Very excited. Won't be having dinner later To make up for it because that meal alone will easily be 1000 calories if not more

Hope everyone has a good day Smile

Loungingbutnotforlong · 25/11/2015 09:56

imust hope you feel better soon. When my thyroid medication went off over the Summer I felt absolutely low and physically unwell- once the levels were sorted out again I felt so much better.
bath hello- I know the feeling- good days and bad days. There are so many temptations around every corner this time of year.
emz well done on the weigh in- have a great holiday!

jonty I will keep going with the running then Grin think I need to stretch better- too much time sitting at a computer has got my muscles quite right.

So I am committed for the next 4 weeks- I realise that I gave bounced around the same 2lbs for a month now Shock I did well losing 16lbs then seem to have relaxed too much!
Have a nice day everyone.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 25/11/2015 14:59

Thanks everyone Flowers I did have my blood tests done and everything was okay.

Emz - wow that's a brilliant weigh in. Enjoy your burger!

I was up a bit this morning so I have 9lb to lose now!!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 25/11/2015 18:34

Not2 - yey on the 11s!!!!

Not2bObvious · 25/11/2015 19:37

Thanks imust, trying not to get too excited as just a hairs breath under - I've been here before about a million times
Kitchen closed, around 1250 cals today. Might do a fast day/soup day tomorrow. Worked a treat on Monday. Emz that burger sounds epic! Enjoy Wink
