Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Welcome MsR. It all comes down to calories in vs calories out, really! What rules we follow to achieve that doesn't matter Smile

Not2bObvious · 20/11/2015 08:20

Iffy tummy last night is showing .8 of a pound loss this morning. Down from 12.2.4 to 12.1.6 - it's official I need to lose a limb to actually lose weight Grin Only joking, need to control the eating for these 3 days, can't keep the weeks work over Fri/Sat/Sun. Anyone around?

Emz449 · 20/11/2015 12:05

Another pound day today hurrah!

Off out which should be good fun but risky on the weight loss!

That's great emz, hope you have a nice night out. Feeling very nibbly this afternoon, haven't done too much damage. Days not done yet though Shock

Not2bObvious · 21/11/2015 06:30

Very quiet here at the min, pls excuse all my posts - feel a need to confess my gluttonyBlush 2755 cals yesterday, just sat on the couch all night grazing. I hope that's it now, that it's out of my system. I'm going to have to keep busy today so as not to blow the calorie budget again. I'm so weak at weekends, my will power just withers away. Freezing here, too cold to go for a run but I might go on treadmill or bike later. Aching a bit still from
class but really want to keep to 3 hours a week decent exercise.
Anyone up yet?

Loungingbutnotforlong · 21/11/2015 09:06

Hi not2be I was also up early- should have used the time to go on the treadmill, but it was too cold!
Never mind about last nights blow out- onwards and downwards. Weekends are super hard for me too -I try to plan the treats so I don't go crazy but it feels like the run into Christmas is going to be a challenge! I have a night out every week (not usual for me!) have a good day everyone.
Anyone got snow? Here in London it is grey and wet, but no sign of snow.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 21/11/2015 13:19

Some fantastic food choices here today. I have had a cupcake and sitting here eating chips for lunch!

JontyDoggle37 · 21/11/2015 14:32

Hello all. Struggling this week. Things are on top of me a bit. A lot. Yesterday was day 4 of a migraine, it's eased quite a bit today but still not gone. Food choices have been bad and Thursday night was a food binge, which I have not done in months. Half a large packet of peanuts. I've not been tracking as too tired/too busy/too stressed. Husband has just taken baby out, who has a cold and is teething, poor little boy. So I actually have an hour or so of silence. I may just sit here and stare at the wall, and enjoy the fact that I can, uninterrupted.

Not2bObvious · 21/11/2015 15:16

Nothing like a nice bit of wall staring jonty, I'd have watched paint dry during baby free time when on Mat leave, never mind after being poorly and having a poorly baba. Do/eat what you need to feel better Flowers
Managed a 30 min run after it warmed up a bit, no snow here lounging just blooming cold. Had porridge for brekkie, toasted sambo and small pack of crisps for lunch - enough of a treat but at least I resisted picking at the kids happy meal, didn't even snaffle a left over nugget! A victory albeit small. No drinkies tonight, I have to stick to this - find it a struggle as we have company for dinner. Scales was up from 12.1.6 yesterday to 12.4 today but no movement since Thursday's iffy tum so if I control myself today/tomorrow I should be back to 12.1'ish by Monday (I hope!)

Emz449 · 21/11/2015 16:36

Sorry to hear your struggling Jonty it sounds like you've got a lot of things on your plate, I hope things settle down for you soon.

Struggling here today, last night was amazing, lots of drinks consumed!! Feeling slightly fragile tonight and my powdered food isn't too appetising so I'm not having them today! Back on it tomorrow though, 6 days to go!!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 21/11/2015 19:42

Good luck Emz. Let us know next week how your food replacement has done in terms of the scales.

Jonty you are so close to target though so go easy on yourself.

I feel like I want to just lose a few more pounds really quickly, as I am not too far from target. But realistically I am telling myself the few pounds left won't make any difference to how I look in clothes so I can lose them slowly. Yes I might look better in a swim suit once I am 9lb down but I don't want to wear one until next summer so there is no rush!

Emz449 · 21/11/2015 21:18

It's been pretty good Imust, 7 lbs down, hoping for more before i go next week.

Packing was supposed to have happened today but it hasnt!! I did manage to get some christmas shopping though which was good Smile

I hope everyone is having a good weekend

IMustEatMoreVeg · 22/11/2015 08:52

Gah! Bad food choices yesterday showing on scale this morning. Up more than a pound even though I was within calories. Salt has a lot to answer for. Hopefully will be off again soon.

Emz will it be hot where you are going? Swimsuit weather? Bikini?! Grin

Not2bObvious · 22/11/2015 09:47

Snap imust, I'm still showing 12.4 today after Friday evenings crisps/nuts nibble'fest despite a within cal day yesterday. If I had any sense the fact that those foods do that (and as a result upset me) should be enough encouragement to lay off them. I've managed to avoid them during the week mostly, now if I could add them to me very very very rare treats list I'd be doing great. It's a lovely sunny morning here, even though it's Baltic - toying with the idea of a walk, maybe do a bit of Christmas surprise shopping??? Only 30 min walk to my local shopping centre. I would consider a run except I just ate a very decent sized brekkie so it mightn't be wise.

Emz449 · 22/11/2015 13:39

Not quite sure how but I didn't put any weight on with Friday's excess and hangover food yesterday so I'm still 10'6. I have 6lbs to go until the next stone bracket and then I'll be happy.

I have to say that even though I'm not quite where I wanted weight wise, I went shopping yesterday and bought some new things for work and when I looked in the changing room mirror I could hardly believe it was me in it. I actually look thin!! I suppose I am now, I bought things in a size 8 and 10 and I feel quite happy with how I look. I won't reach the weight I want by Friday but it doesn't really matter. I have had an eating disorder in the past (started at 13) and have got to a point where my weight has been far too low on a number of occasions where weight loss has been addictive and I couldn't stop. It has crossed my mind that I could relapse again but I think I have reached a happy medium now. I have found my balance and I know what works for me. When I go away I'm not going to worry about low calorie/carb because I want to enjoy myself and not fixate on calories. This is a trip of a lifetime and the first time I'll have seen my partner for months - I'll be making the most of it!!

Emz449 · 22/11/2015 13:44

Imust unfortunately it's not going to be sunny!! I have got my bikini ready though Grin it's not so much of a beach type of holiday though so the weather doesn't bother me too much.

This is what we'll be doing ....
First four days - climbing Machu pichu
After that we'll travel to lake titicaca and spend a few days there
Three days will be spent at the salt flats in Bolivia and then after that a jungle tour and then home! Can't believe how quickly it's come round

Tiredemma · 22/11/2015 15:55

weigh in tomorrow so will update then.....

JontyDoggle37 · 23/11/2015 07:44

Emz sounds like a healthy attitude - and you're doing that massive hike so you'll be burning off loads anyway.
I wanted to run this morning but can't as I'm coming down with a cold and my chest hurts. I'm up at 10.9, which is annoying as I was down to 10.7.75 last week, but there you go. I've just planned out today's meals, so aiming to be well within my 1380 today and finally get back on track. I feel in a better frame of mind about it all today too.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 23/11/2015 10:25

Emz I loved reading your post about buying new clothes and feeling thin. I haven't bought any new things just yet (waiting to lose a few more lb) but I have tried on a couple of pairs of trousers last week and was absolutely loving it. I think it is great that you enjoyed looking in the mirror. It might take a while for your mind to catch up with your body - of course you are thin!

Jonty I'm glad you are feeling in a better frame of mind even if you are feeling coldy. Hope you have a good week.

I am on 10st 9 and half today so the bloat from yesterday has gone. Onwards and downwards ladies!

Emz449 · 23/11/2015 10:47

10'4 this morning! It's all going the right way Smile getting so close to the 9's now, I can't believe it.

Thanks for the kind words Flowers I have to say even though I'm not really following MFP right now this thread has been a real motivation for me especially ready everyone's success stories! I'll be back tracking when I get back home just to keep an eye on things and to make sure I stick to my set calories. 4 days to go!!

Oh and bread has now joined wine in the 'sad goodbye' category. I had it two or three days last week and felt so unwell a few hours later each time. I don't think it's gluten as pasta doesn't make me unwell, I think it might be the yeast preservatives they use. I bloody love bread. Oh well. Easier to lose weight without it...

Not2bObvious · 23/11/2015 17:42

Wow emz, that's a good drop. What's your final goal weight? And is it a number or a clothes size, cause if you're now an 8/10 do you actually have much more to lose?
Sad to hear bread had to go too jonty, I don't eat an awful lot of it myself, I think I inadvertently phased it out of my diet when doing 5:2 as its so many cals for so little satisfaction. So I only eat it once maybe twice a week.
Scales still at 12.4, yesterday ending up with food out and vino - have to live a little right? Trying a v low cal day to see if it nudges the gain off. Such a busy day I managed to be good without a ton of effort. Tired now, yawnnnn....

IMustEatMoreVeg · 23/11/2015 18:10

How tall are you Emz, if you don't mind me asking? Just I am 5.9 and would love to be 10st but even when I am I don't think I will be fitting in a size 8 anything. I am currently 10st 9 and a size 12, occasionally a 10. Just shows how different body shapes can be. I bet you look AMAZING.

Not2bObvious · 23/11/2015 18:32

Isn't it funny how height/sizes vary person to person imust, I'm 5ff 4.5inches and I'm mostly in size 12 but in my case I reckon it's vanity sizing, in very tailored clothes I would definately be a 14. At 10.9 I think I'd be a 10, vanity or not as that would be 23 pounds away and I would have to be much slimmer. I'm sitting here dreaming of being 23 pounds lighter...I'd be in a bikini all the time lol!

Emz449 · 23/11/2015 18:38

I'm 5ft 3, think that's why the number on the scales annoys me because i would be in the middle of my healthy bmi but I'd maybe have to lose another stone for that and I think I'll be too thin at that weight. I need to get over the scales really!
