Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Welcome That (love love love mean girls 😉) Nice to have another joiner. 1lb a week sounds doable and realistic.
I'm more on course for gaining 10lb over the last weekend! Oh well, it's done now. Knackered today and not sticking to my normal soup day, probably do it tomorrow instead.
Must you are on fire! Super losses, great work

If you're eating normally and then go down to restricted calories you will lose some of your glycogen stores and therefore also water. That's the initial rush of lost weight. If you go from eating restricted calories to eating normally you'll gain a similar amount back. It happens every time I start or stop. But it still counts! It's just not a time to get complacent and eat normally again, or you'll gain that weight straight back and be demotivated!

It's also something I bear in mind when thinking about goal weight - I know I need to continue until I'm a couple of lbs under, so I'll be the 'right' weight when I start eating at maintenance and gain that water back. Though presumably you don't look any different whether you've got the water weight or not, so perhaps not something I need to plan to work around - instead I'll just stop when I look 'right'.

Welcome SoFetch!

Wow must your really flying aren't you, well done. And you too Jonty.
You guys really motivate me.
Welcome fetch, I want the same weight loss for summer too. Hopefully doable.
I've just booked a holiday for August, so it needs to be off by then, and maybe a bit more to make room for 18 days of American food!! ShockShockShock
I've definitely stuck to my 1200 everyday this week, weigh in tomorrow!!!

Welcome That! Great name btw Grin

Well done to you Must, you're getting great results!

Batch cooking galore this evening, knackered now, should have done it yesterday but was too lazy. I've made a mexican chicken stew for lunches this week and homemade meatballs with a tomato sauce and courgetti that only comes to 220 calories a portion! Posted the recipe below for anyone thats interested Smile. Thats my food done for the week now!

Can I please join? Serial weight watcher here but can't get my head round smart points. Only have about half a stone to lose but keep gaining and losing!

Welcome twinkle, I'm similar to you in I keep losing/gaining the same few pounds - difference is I've about 2 stone to lose 😁 I'm sure you'll do great with the encouragement and support here.
Emz the meatballs sound great, any chance of the Mexican stew recipe too pls? I've spent some time being my mfp up to date with my crazy binge weekend, it makes for shocking reading and makes me want to make it private after sharing it, very very bad behaviour - truly the path to starting in a documentary about a woman being cut out of her house. Today was meant to be my anniversary WI but I can't (and I really can't as it had a glass of water & cup of tea - intentional WI sabotage)
I have to get back on track. I always give up chocolate/crisps and alcohol for lent which starts tomorrow week but between now & then I need to pull it together dammit! If only you could lose weight when beating yourself up mentally 😥

Yeah sure not2, roast a whole chicken and shred after its cooked, discarding the skin. Fry in low cal spray, 1 pepper, one onion, 2 chillis, garlic for 3 minutes. Add the chicken then pasatta and 200ml of chicken cooking juices. Add 400g of cooked mixed beans and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Easy! Not sure on calories though??

Ow whoops the main ingredient! Use a Cajun spice mix or something like that to mix in with the chicken and veg before adding the pasatta

1lb off this week. Wish it was more but better than nothing, 11lb to goal!!!! Have a great day everyone!

1lb is great Thankful, imagine it as a pound of pure fat gone forever 😉 Thanks emz, that sounds good, probably not bad calorie wise - good healthy food although I have to say I can't abide that low fat cooking spray, reminds me too much of ww and sw, all the artificial crap. I'd use a teaspoon of oil and maybe a drop of water if it stuck a bit. Got to try that

Have added my menu to mfp:

Belvita and fruit

Weight watchers wrap with chilli con carne

Annoyingly left my quavers at home Angry

... I keep on falling off the wagon too. Had peanut butter, toffee fudge, chocolate and mixed nuts last night when I came back starving from work. Not only was it probably 1000 calories, it made me feel a bit ill and didn't even taste great as a combination.
I don't think I'm back where I started, I guess I've kept my two pounds off. I find it hard to fall asleep in the evening, so often get up and eat fruit bread, usually 400 cals of it, whuch I don't log and which wipes out the day's efforts. V dispiriting!
(I'm greenellee on mfp)
Still I'll carry on... Hmm

I've just bought the lean in 15 too. The chicken and potato hash thing is nice, very filling!
Had the build up bagel after body combat the other day, seriously yummy!!

That's the key - just keep on keeping on. And find an alternative snack to fruit bread or somethi else that will help you sleep.
No loss for me today, but the scales wobbled this morning so as long as I stick to plan today, tomorrow should be a drop.

Well done on the losses everyone Grin

Just made a right twat of myself, had breakfast and then soup/slice of bread and a banana for dinner but I didn't fancy the soup so just used it to dip my bread.
Went out this afternoon and drank 1 litre of water and my stomach started growling loads I didn't want to eat anything because the only things about were choc, crisps, pies and chips. Thought I'd be fine till I got home for my tea but stood making it and I started to feel all faint and wobbly. Sad had to sit down for 10 mins and have a glass of juice for a sugar boost. Not had juice since last year, it was in the house from malibu Xmas drinks. Will have to take some snacks out in the car next time just in case.

I get light headed too if I don't eat, mustbethin, so know how you feel.

A Crunchie slipped into my mouth Grin. But at only 150 Cals (from multipack) I don't think that's that bad....?!

Report
Not2bObvious · 02/02/2016 18:47

I really struggled with hunger today and did nibble a lot - BUT nothing too bad, protein type food and a biscuit Must just goes to show, sometimes we do eat too little, at least it was only a glass of juice.
Twinkle I think crunchies are fine! Full of air eh?😁??😜 I was looking earlier at your food for the day, them belvita bickies are pretty sugary, I've found (personally, pls ignore if you want) if I start the day with sugar, I end it with sugar. Of course I've also found if I start the day with anything I also can end it with sugar!

Report
MustBeThin · 02/02/2016 19:19

Ooooh I love a crunchie ❤ I think I'd gone past hungry by the time my tea was made I felt horribly full and bloated before I'd eaten a quarter of it but I kept eating because I'd obviously not had enough calories and that's why I felt faint. Could only manage just over half of my meal.
That chocolate peanut hottie drink is pretty nice if anyone's interested and only 83 cals. It's not thick obviously more like drinking a cup of tea. Bet it's lovely made with milk but I can't justify the extra 98 cals Grin you can make milkshakes with it too apparently, oh and put it in your porridge (man peanut porridge) or bake with it.

I was 10 stone this morning! Grin

Since then I've had a salad and a coffee, then a hard trip home carrying something heavy, then about four hours getting to and round and back from IKEA... so had McD and am lying in bed eating crispy M&Ms as I write. And I don't care! I've burned so many kcals today. I was also intrigued to find that I could barely finish a large meal at McD... usually only happens if I have too much of my drink first, but this was excluding the drink. Guess my stomach has been tiny lately.

Everyone is doing so well! I'm just about on track, now I've removed myself from the kitchen. Good plan worked well, but it was too low in calories for me, so then I've been snacking to bring my calories up, and then transformed into the Cookie Monster! Oh well, I've stopped in time to still be within calories. Hoping to lose some of the weekends gain tomorrow. Stew I think I might join you with aiming for 9st9. I had originally said 10st, then thought I'd do 9st12 to give me a bit of leeway, but even at 9st13 I still have more fat than in comfortable with around my middle and my hips - not just from a looks perspective but also diabetes risk. With wonky blood sugar as it is i'm very conscious of diabetes risk factors, so trying to ensure my waist measurement is right too.

I often get lightheaded too Mustbe, it's horrible. Happened last week when I was trying to pay for my shopping in aldi and pack my bags, could hardly speak and just needed to get out of the shop. Often comes with feeling very hot and clammy and needing to poo fucking ibs

Good day food wise today! The Mexican stew was absolutely fantastic and made my day Grin Meatballs and courgetti was lovely too.

Need to stay on track all month really, I have nothing planned socially until the 26th of Feb, apart from a Thai meal on the 23rd with work, but I want to look good for my night out!
