Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

just re-read my last post, I did mean
Spag Bol not Slag Bol! Scales was off this morning, I'm actually 12.2.6 which is only .2 up from Friday. That'll do nicely Grin

MrsDLH · 17/11/2015 16:10

Lounging my mistake! Although, 5k sounds brill anyway. I don't run unless you count interval spurts on the treadmill while holding your boobs with your elbows

Not2 slag bol hahahhaaa. Saucy!

I was 11st 1 this morning to heading back down after Saturday's excesses. Was 960cals yesterday and trying for 1000 or less today because I'm out for curry with some friends tomorrow night so not only having a calorie heavy meal and alcohol but missing my Davina workout too! Eek. Must be super good the other days!

SmillasSenseOfSnow · 17/11/2015 18:59

Hi everyone!

Got my exam on Monday, stress has been up and down but I think I'm dealing with it quite well in terms of not turning to food too much (or indeed rewarding myself with food in revision breaks, as I used to do!).

We had Domino's since I last posted I think, still hovering around 66 kg/10 stone 5, happy enough but ready for a big burst of effort in the week after my exam, apart from maybe one meal out (an important birthday - not my own). It's also TOTM so vaguely anticipating a little whoosh in a week or so perhaps. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't.

Would definitely like to have lost another three lbs or so by the end of the month. Five would be amazing but seems rather unrealistic. Getting comfortably under the 10 stone mark is my planned Christmas present to myself. Smile

Loungingbutnotforlong · 17/11/2015 19:44

Gah! So I am working from home today and have picked all day! My DD's cake is no more. Not sure what I was thinking, when I have been doing quite well. Self-sabotage! Confused

Good luck with the exam Monday smilla

Enjoy the curry tomorrow mrs DLH

IMustEatMoreVeg · 18/11/2015 08:48

Smillas - I am also terrible for scoffing everything while I am revising so well done for not doing that!

Mrs DLH - you are doing really well. Hope the 10s come for you soon.

I am stalled at 10st 10 for quite a few days. I have been sticking to 1200 carefully this week so hopefully a bit of a drop soon. I have also had a few soup days this week.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 18/11/2015 09:42

I meant to say, too, that I must have reached a particular level of slimness that is noticeable now. Yesterday when I was at work literally five different people (who I don't know well) stopped me to tell me I have lost weight and what on earth am I doing?

I feel a bit awkward with conversations like that. I mean, I am Grin that they have noticed my weight loss, but I don't want to have a big explanation about calorie counting. Other people's diets are boring, for a start, and also I don't want people to know how much effort I am putting into my weight loss.

What is everyone else saying about their weight loss method?

IMust I just say "I'm moving more and eating less, not very complicated but it works". Tends to piss people off because somehow they always expect it will be some miracle that makes weight fall off instead of good old common sense! Grin.
No loss for me today, but went over calories yesterday so no surprise. Feeling a lot better today, actually have the whole day's food planned and have had a bit more sleep too. Hopefully will come in under 1200 today (my allowance is 1380, so that will be a low day for me). I can't do under 1,000 I just feel faint.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 18/11/2015 13:31

Yes I am getting suspicious looks and accusation that I am ill to account for my weight loss.

Eating less moving more is good - simple and true.

I made some excuse about having taken up yoga yesterday! GrinHmmConfused

Not2bObvious · 18/11/2015 13:33

Ha ha imust, I'll have to wait until I actually lose some weight before I have that problem. I got down to around 11.4 with 5:2 and if I was asked and told people what I was doing I'd more often than not get such a lecture! Used to really get to me. Of course since I fell out of love with 5:2, I found it was due to all the reasons people say they can't do it. I think weight loss/control has a huge amount to do with your consistency and also a good dose of self denial, hence my failure. But gotta keep trying, I've stayed around 12 stone for a year, I was once 13.7 so it's an improvement.

Loungingbutnotforlong · 18/11/2015 14:26

imust - well done for noticeable weight loss- a brilliant 'Non scale victory'! I have had a couple of people ask if I have lost weight, which is great, but they all say I have lost it from my face! Urgh! I didn't realise my face was that big and I was hoping to lose it from my 'mum tum' and thighs! Blush

Tiredemma · 18/11/2015 15:59

May I join? (ive probably been here before)

I joined WW online and then realised that its not as good for 'tracking' as MFP. Worked out that 1pp is about 50 cals so have saved myself money and just gone back to MFP and set my calories at 1450 (as WW was 29 points)

I have about 10kg to lose

MrsDLH · 18/11/2015 18:00

Welcome Tired I prefer the dieting for free method too!

Good luck with the exam, Smilla well done for not revision snacking, another guilty one here

imust great that people have noticed but I get the inevitable embarrassment! I too go with the less food, more exercise explanation. Im not good with compliments but I suppose it's a good thing that it's being noticed!

Going out for curry later and alcohol but will minimise the damage by following with two 1000 days. Might jeopardise the 10st something though. Was 11st again this morning

Emz449 · 18/11/2015 18:28

Welcome Tired! Glad to see you join us Smile

All going well here, pounds are coming off which is great, lunch st work today so slightly of course but dinner was on plan. Straight and narrow for the next few days apart from a night out on Friday. Other then that it's going to 100% and no veering of course!

Glad to hear that everyone's doing well, it's very inspiring to see Flowers

Welcome tired!

Bathsheba3 · 18/11/2015 22:40

Hellooooo! Hope you enjoyed your curry Mrs DLH. Perhaps a madras or stronger would have actually helped you to the 10's! A good boost for all your efforts to be noticed Imust. Not long to go to your hols Emz! did you get the job Jonty?

I made my butternut squash soup today. Yum yum. But all that talk of slag spag bol the other night gave me the taste for it, and so I made that tonight. My portion was far too big, but I have resisted the biscuits today which is a huge achievement for me Wink

Just watching the weather - it's going to be freezing on saturday. SNOW

Bathsheba3 · 18/11/2015 22:44

Forgot to say hello and welcome tired

JontyDoggle37 · 19/11/2015 06:36

Welcome Tired [waves]
Emz glad it's going well, how much is coming off?
Bath well done for resisting the biscuits
MrsDLH hope the curry was good.
Well, I'm having a whoosh!! Down 1.75lbs this morning to 10.7.75!! Getting so close now I'm so excited!!! Grin

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2015 06:50

Welcome tired, best of luck going the mfp route. Hope your slaggy Bol was as good as mine bathWink
Off to my first exercise class in over 2 weeks, I'm going to do aren't I???
Scales showing 12.2.4 this morning, drifting down very slowly. Maybe this is the weight from a binge 3 weeks ago, must check back to see.
Any update on the weight emz and the vlcd? Are the 4lbs gone yet?

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2015 06:55

I meant die...damn phone Angry

IMustEatMoreVeg · 19/11/2015 09:27

Welcome tired Smile

Jonty you are doing so well! Yey the whooshes!

Not2 you will be in the 11s very soon. Good luck at your exercise class. I also doing one tonight and I haven't been for 2 weeks.

I am down a pound today to 10st 9 and a bit.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 19/11/2015 09:29

Emz people must have noticed your weight loss. What do you tell them?

Emz449 · 19/11/2015 10:24

Lost 6lbs so far so 10'7 which is good, gradually coming off thankfully! TOM is looming though so expecting a stand still. Quite thankful though as I really didn't want that to happen while I was on holiday! 8 days to go!

To be honest I was quite upfront with it, I didn't specifically tell people but if they asked I just said that i had been calorie counting and I was desperately unhappy with how I looked before. Everyone has been very nice about it and said how good I look which is lovely. My manager says I'm disappearing every week Grin

MsRamone · 19/11/2015 10:55

Hi guys, can I join? I was previously doing slimming world but logging what I was eating in MFP - ive lost almost half a stone in 3 weeks and I've been thinking about it and I reckon it's more down to calorie intake than some magical diet method - I mean it's just common sense isn't it! So I'm committing to MFP instead.

Weight 3 weeks ago - 11st 7lbs
Weight now - 11st 1lb
Short term goal - 10st something Grin
Long term goal - 10st 7lbs

Calorie goals - 1450 per day for now, if weight loss stops I'll go down to 1300.

Not2bObvious · 19/11/2015 15:31

Welcome MsR, 6 pound in 3 weeks is great! I just couldn't get into SW but there's no doubt it works great for some - maybe I'm wrong but I think it works well if you have a good amount to lose, but for the last stone or 2, method might need changing. When I went there were a good few people who'd lost between 5-10 stone. Amazing really.
Days going ok, felt like puking during/after my class but fine now. I'd say I'll be in pain tomorrow.
Wow Emz that's so good, well done. Imust, jonty you're doing fab. Very encouraging altogether
