Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Stay a dream not a weight, dopey phone in hands of dopey woman!

JontyDoggle37 · 27/11/2015 19:08

Not2b you need to start believing in yourself. If 9st11 is your target, then it's your target. You've seen other people can do it, you're proving you can do it yourself right now. It will only remain a dream if you let it. You absolutely CAN do it.

I'm having dinner, because Im shattered and still have a lot to do, but I probably shouldn't after that lunch, it was well over 1,000 cals I think! Peanut butter milkshake (omg gorgeous), southern fried chicken burger (although I ordered it with no bun), and half a white chocolate brownie with caramel maple sauce. The dessert was orgasm-worthy. Enjoyed it hugely and will be back on eating plan tomorrow with no guilt Grin

IMustEatMoreVeg · 27/11/2015 21:25

Not2 - break it up into smaller targets. I think that has really helped me. The monthly targets we have been setting are achievable and they really add up. My first 'big' target was to get to a healthy BMI, then 11st then 10st.

I do know what you mean though about worrying about failing. I have had a little voice in my head saying ' what if I start binging again and put it all back on?' but the voice is going away gradually. I think for me the key is going to be to weigh myself everyday and I just need to commit to doing that forever and ever.

JontyDoggle37 · 27/11/2015 21:41

IMust I was only thinking about how we handle 'maintenance' today.. I want to have a plan before I get there...weighing every day for ever is a good point, does anyone else have any ideas? For me it would be continue to meal plan - saves me money and I'm less likely to be defeated by time and opt for a takeaway!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 27/11/2015 21:52

I think I am going to do better on maintenance than I ever have before because I have really gotten into good habits. The soup days for example are a good maintenance strategy. Urge surfing also good.

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2015 21:59

My losses are very slow imust, I do know that's it's mostly down to me - but even when I put a lot into it, it creeps off soo slowly. Took me 6 months to lose 1 stone and I've spent the last 3 months losing/regaining half of that. Anyway, it is what it is - if I stop I'll be 13 stone again in 3 months!
Maintenance (as if I knew or will know for some time) could be tricky, learning to eat more after months of eating less. I guess it'll be about finding your ideal tdee and sticking to it. I'd love to not worry about calorie counting and constant weighing but I messed my body up
for so many years that's that f'ed!
The lure of Friday night wine was too strong but didn't have too much, few treats in but within tdee

JontyDoggle37 · 28/11/2015 07:54

Morning all. Scales are showing 1.5lb increase from yesterday, but it's just water/food still in my system. Not sure if I will see a loss tomorrow as yesterday was so high calorie, but should at least be back down to 10.7. Hoping for another loss by Monday though to stay on track. Soup day today.

Not2bObvious · 28/11/2015 08:06

By the sounds of that lunch jonty it's worth it Grin It'll be gone by Monday. No soup day here, waiting for everyone to wake up so we can start our day/night away. But I am going to have a big bowl of porridge so I last til lunch. Dinner will be pub grub with Wine Menu looks really tasty and reviews are good so looking forward to that. Kids are super excited, or at least I thought they were, thought they'd be up at 6! Miserable weather but can't expect much more for nearly December

IMustEatMoreVeg · 28/11/2015 08:41

I'm down nearly half a pound to 10st 7 and 5/8 hurray!

JontyDoggle37 · 28/11/2015 19:51

Finishing on 1354 today, which is just under my 1380 target. Hoping the scales are kind tomorrow!

JontyDoggle37 · 29/11/2015 05:17

Argh. No loss at all today. Feeling a bit bunged up (tmi sorry) and up at 5am for I think the third day running, so probably also not getting enough sleep to actually lose weight. I know Emz always has her big weight loss woodhes after a good long sleep. Senokot tonight and husband can do at least one of the (currently multiple) nightdress. He didn't last night as he was singing at a gig and didn't get in from that until 2am, which is fair enough, he needs sleep today, my turn tonight!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 29/11/2015 08:50

I'm back up 3/4 of a pound. A bit of a salty dinner last night I think. I have really gotten out of the habit of drinking enough water too so that is one of my aims for December.

I agree with the lack of sleep thing Jonty. I haven't been sleeping that well either but I find a good whoosh comes after a good sleep.

I stood on my scales on a carpet this morning and they thought I had lost over a stone! GrinShock Just shows why it is important to weigh on a hard surface for a reliable result! But roll on the time when my weight does start with a 9.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 29/11/2015 11:48

I've just been reflecting about this diet. I don't think I have ever been sure that I will reach a particular target weight before but I am now. I think it is because with basically any other diet you have to trust the method. I'm thinking low carb, 5:2, slimming world... it might get you to your goal but you don't know for definite . With calorie counting as long as I keep to a decent deficit I can't not lose weight. I don't have to have faith in any method or special foods because it is self evident that if I eat fewer calories than I use up I have to get lighter. It is just inevitable.

I get my weekly email from fitbit that compares how many calories it thinks I have used with how many I have eaten (it syncs with mfp for this) and I have usually had a weekly calorie deficit of 5000 to 7000. And I have usually lost about 2lb a week on average. It just works!

Just musing happily.

JontyDoggle37 · 29/11/2015 12:40

IMust isn't it nice to be able to muse happily about your diet instead of feeling angsty about it! Grin

Bathsheba3 · 29/11/2015 12:44

Hello all! Haven't joined you for a little while but it is great to read everyone's positive stories as always, and to "see" everyone shrinking away!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 29/11/2015 21:32

Hello Bath. Haven't seen you for a while - I was wondering where you were. Are you okay?

Bathsheba3 · 29/11/2015 23:01

Not really Imust, but thanks for asking. Means a lot. Waiting for the grey cloud that keeps following me around to blow away. Chocolate doesn't seem to be working Wink

Not2bObvious · 30/11/2015 06:35

Sorry you're experiencing a low patch Bath, hope very much it lifts soon.
Very very indulgent 2 days. I'll be back once I've controlled myself for 2 days, the shame!!!

JontyDoggle37 · 30/11/2015 06:44

Bath lovely to hear from you, keep posting, it might help on the chocolate side at least!
Not2b don't hide, we need you here, we're a bit thin on the ground at the moment.....
Well, my weigh in has not gone to plan today. Lost some of Friday's gain, so back to 10.7.5, but that means I've only lost 0.5lbs in the last week instead of 2. I get a feeling though that Monday's are often not my best day and Tuesdays often show a drop, so I'm hanging on to that hope!!! Heading out for a run shortly, should be 3 miles this morning.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 30/11/2015 07:21

I'm down to 10st 7 and a quarter this morning. Planning a light day too.

Not2 No shame here!

Jonty don't worry about the weekly target, you could lose 3lb in 3 days when you have a whoosh.

Bath Flowers

Not2bObvious · 30/11/2015 20:08

Well done imust, and jonty you're losing all the time - that's the problem with daily weigh in's some time, the fluctuations can throw you off. I'm weighing in every day but only officially counting Friday's weight. I've had a "soup" day today. I'm in 2 minds as to whether to have a small snack as I barely slept last Monday after a vlc day. I think I'll leave it but if I'm struggling to sleep, I'll then have a small snack. I just made some really stupid choices over the weekend, ate a ridiculous amount of chocolate - proper cross with myself, I know better Angry
HIIT session in the morning - well that's the plan Wink

Bathsheba3 · 01/12/2015 07:10

I did it !!!! No sugar at all yesterday, veg juice for breaky, poached egg, spinach on 1/2 rye bread lunch, leftover sunday lunch curry dinner, extra large GnT. And rang up my personal trainer for a workout. Oh and a "whoosh" as Imust put it so well. 2 lbs down overnight to 11 10.

I want to regain that feeling of control. It feels good. It makes me stronger to deal with the other stuff that I let get me down.

Like the idea of daily weigh-ins Not2 but counting a certain day as official

IMustEatMoreVeg · 01/12/2015 07:21

I like to look back over the month and see how far I have come. In November I have lost 10lb - I think my target was 3lb to get to 11st.

So my December target is 7lb to get to 10st and also to drink more water.

JontyDoggle37 · 01/12/2015 08:00

Yay go Bath!
I'm 0.5lbs down, which gets me back to 10.7, where I was last Thursday - let's hope this is the start of a good whoosh!
IMust we're neck-and-neck, it's going to be a race to the finish lol!!!

Not2bObvious · 01/12/2015 08:28

Morning all! Faced the scales and it's showing 12.1.6, so 2.2 up from Friday's low but that means I've 3 days to shift it and a smidge more I hope. Did my HIIT this morning and it nearly killed me. Only 23 mins but my god I thought I was going to vomit (if I'd had anything in my tummy!) It was great Grin
Going to have porridge soup when I get into the office, basically porridge made with 80% water, 20% milk and then finished with a slosh of milk and a tsp sugar. Keeps me going nicely for around 200 cals. Soup or egg on toast for lunch & spag bol for dinner - 2 digestives for afters. Want to come in around 1200 for the day.
Well done bath, having a good day leads to more good days - proud of you Wink
imust your losses are really impressive, and you too jonty - you guys are so consistent, inspirational Flowers
