Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Thanks Must. That's what I thought too. just as well as i've had a 2nd bowl

Thankfulforeveryday · 27/01/2016 20:39

I'd say that includes the bead too. I've just realised though that you can import recipes from online into MFP and it works it out for you(calories) , how bloody clever is that!!!

Not2bObvious · 27/01/2016 20:53

Finishing my soup day a tad over 1000, only reason it was that much was I had a few crisps😳

Bathsheba3 · 27/01/2016 22:28

Very clever indeed Thankful - shame I am such a dinosaur & can't work out how to do stuff like that. I'll need to ask one of the DC's.

Well done Not. Like the way you word a FEW crisps. That is restraint.

It's amazing, a few days without sugar, and my body really does tighten up and feel less flabby. Lets see if I last longer than a week this time.

My soup was v good folks. Windy side effects though. Beans and cabbage. Not a good combo Wink

MustBeThin · 27/01/2016 22:29

Well done Not2b 1000 cals is great! I've just finished my day on 943 but had to quick add 57cals so MFP would let me complete my entry. Not really hungry tonight but this dinnertime I really fancied pizza and I don't even really eat the stuff, I can eat it but I find takeaway pizza too greasy sometimes. I just kept imagining those pizza slices you see on American TV shows that are so big you need two hands to hold one slice. Blush

I had soup instead. 😕

SmillasSenseOfSnow · 28/01/2016 07:01

Hello everyone, I can see there's been some crazy progress for a lot of you! Well done!

Wish I could say I'd also made it into the 9s, but alas I am 10 stone 1 right now. Last weekend was a bit of a mess due to going somewhere for the weekend and lots of food being involved, but I've currently got a stomach bug and seem to have dropped about 1.5-2 lbs in two-three days due to reining in the food and being unable to eat in equal measure. Silver lining!

Need some new clothes again soon, my skinny skinnies are getting loose again. Those size 14 lift and shape jeans from Next I got back in July (when I was probably a size 16) are still fitting well though, bloody magic I tell you.

Not2bObvious · 28/01/2016 07:27

Well done on resisting the pizza must, I have to admit to a few slices of thin frozen pizza on Tuesday but it was only around 300 - those big take away ones are that a slice! I'm trying to use the 5:2 school of thinking "I can have it tomorrow" on soup days, not sure how the crisps slipped 😳 Anyway knackered this morning but no aches yet. Hi Smilla, you're on the cusp of 9's, soo close, won't be long now😉 I have a pair of them lift/sculpt jeans from next, quite a nice fit, just waiting for the muffin top to shrink and they'll be fab!

JontyDoggle37 · 28/01/2016 08:25

Morning all quick dash in today, slight gain this morning taking me back into the 10's but u had some salty food last night so it's just water weight and will be gone tomorrow. Aiming for under calorie target today and tomorrow as there's a family party Saturday

Stilleatingthechristmasfood · 28/01/2016 09:21

Hello Can I join you all? starting MFP today! Aiming for 1000 a day as a bit of a kickstart. Does anyone mind sharing a day or two sample diaries that will fill me up but keep me under the 1000. Have 3.5 stone to lose ☺️

Stilleatingthechristmasfood · 28/01/2016 09:22

Sent before saying thank you!

MustBeThin · 28/01/2016 10:06

Well I'm Sad this morning. Pulled scales out and placed in a different spot to usual.....13st Sad moved to my usual spot and it read 12st 13 moved to another different spot 13st again. So looks like I've not gone into the 12's at all, I've probably been 1lb heavier than I though it was all along. I'm so sad.

Welcome still my day varies a bit really, I don't usually eat much breakfast just 1 slice wholemeal toast and 15g primula cheese and chive spread with a cup of tea but today I had porridge.
Lunch I usually have either homemade soup with 1 slice wholemeal 205cals, poached egg on wholemeal with 10g anchor light 230cals or tuna salad cream on a small brown breadcake with butter again under 300cals.
Tea I eat what I've always had but weigh the food and swap normal rice/spaghetti for brown and I don't eat mashed potatoes in the week. The meal with the least cals is fish and veg but usually all of my teatime meals are less than 500cals.

MustBeThin · 28/01/2016 10:07

Obviously when I say I eat what I've always had at teatime it excludes takeaway. Grin

Bathsheba3 · 28/01/2016 10:46

Must - it is all relative. Move the scales back to their rightful place, and you ARE 12 st 13. You could use someone else's scales in the exact same spot, and they would say something different too. You were SO strong last night resisting pizza. That WOULD have got you back to the 13s. You had soup, you are strong, so you are 12 st 13, and you aren't going to have a bad day and bad food choices. You will continue to be proud of yourself, stick to your calories, and in a day or two you will be 12 st 12. And then 12 st 11. and before you know it into the 11's.

Bathsheba3 · 28/01/2016 10:55

Sorry about your stomach bug Smilla - but you have done brilliantly. I can't quite believe you are in size 14 jeans though at 10 stone 1? But I guess everything is relative. I'm size 14 at 11 stone 12 1/2 (yea! down 3.5 since monday Shock). I'm 5'6.

Welcome Still. Think you may need to bin the rest of the Christmas food now - if any is still lurking. Think the beauty of MFP is that you can continue to eat what you normally would, so no drastic dietary changes, but just get used to weighing out / portion control.

I'm a big fan of roasted veg with salmon, or poached/fried egg with spinach on a slice of toast, soup, and a "normal" dinner with the family in the evening, but smaller portions protein, tiny carb portion, but huge veggie portion.

Thankfulforeveryday · 28/01/2016 17:47

Welcome Still, today I've had, weetabix for breakfast, pea soup and a slice of brown bread. Sweet chilli salmon vermicelli for tea today. I eat as I was before but weigh and measure, I was eating huge portions before and I've tried to cut out snacking, my biggest downfall, today has been bad, I've been having one of those "omg I'm starving" day, so ate some of DD's matesers, two slices of chicken, a Jaffa cake, options hot chocolate so far.... Then stupidly went to morrisons hungry and bought all my favourite bad things, tiger bread, crumpets and brownies, now they are taunting me from the kitchen!!!! I'm refusing to break!!!!!!!

Emz449 · 28/01/2016 18:53

Welcome still!

Typical day for me is weetabix and banana for breakfast, lunch is soup and a bread roll or chicken salad and my dinner is meat and veg. Fruit for snacks! I'm at goal now though so i usually have some sort of carb with dinner (sweet potato etc) and i always have a chocolate type thing after dinner that comes in around 100 calories. Finishes me off for the day! 1000 calories can actually be quite a lot of food. I try and break it down to 300/300/400

Dinner tonight is pulled pork roll and sweet potato chips - can't wait! Bloody starving. Played squash during lunch and it was great, i havent played in a few years and i had so much fun!

JontyDoggle37 · 28/01/2016 19:56

Why did I let salted roasted peanuts into the house? WHY? and how did that glass of wine fall down my throat? lets not mention the five Celebrations chocolates . I have no excuses. Apart from being in sole charge of child until bedtime, on very little sleep, as DH has gone out for the evening and was therefore unavailable to do bath and bed. Note to Self:must work hard at relationship, if this is what I'm like after one evening, single parenthood can never be a possibility!Hmm

Not2bObvious · 28/01/2016 20:27

Hahaha on the single parenthood concern, I hear you! I'd be a 20 stone lush if himself left me, my pair would double team kill me on my own. Doing ok today, that is all...😉

Not2bObvious · 29/01/2016 06:39

Morning all. Down .2 of a pound since last Friday, I'd say it's maybe a bit more than that but I had salty food yesterday morning and then was so thirsty all day, I probably have some bloat. Not to worry, I know I was way more good than bad so the scales isn't a true reflection at the moment (and I have had a...ahem...movement in a couple of days😳)
Anyway, on we go! No drinks tonight as have a parents thing to go to. Getting the hair done this morning, that'll keep me away from food for a couple of hours! Should be a good day from a calorie perspective if not exercise (can't exercise with my new 'do!) Anyone else about?

Bathsheba3 · 29/01/2016 07:46

Hello! Enjoy your hair do Not. An hour or two of just sitting sound bliss. I'm 1/2 up to 11 13 today. But ended up going out last night. Didn't over-do the eating, but still, one evening out and a few drinks is probably a full day's quota of calories. Had some bread. 1st this week. Delicious.

Hope everyone else OK?

MustBeThin · 29/01/2016 07:55

Thanks Bath feeling better today, didn't cave yesterday so no regrets today. Moved my scales back to their old spot, still read 12st 13 although it did wobble between 12st 12. So hopefully by Monday Tuesday 12st 12 will be the reading.
Enjoy getting your hair done Not2b my hairdressers probably isn't the best to go to on a diet as they have wine as an option if you want a drink. Grin

Bathsheba3 · 29/01/2016 08:01

Hurray Must!

Not2bObvious · 29/01/2016 08:12

Wine?? Awww my hairdressers sucks 😡 I'm sure 12.12 is imminent must

SmillasSenseOfSnow · 29/01/2016 08:46

My scales are being stupid depending on where they are on the floor today! They had gone down to 63.6 kg (64.0 kg yesterday) so I became alarmed and tried to see what they'd say elsewhere! The majority verdict is 63.6 kg though. 100 g off 10 st!! A month earlier than (admittedly pessimistically) hoped! Aaaahhhh! I'm going out to a new restaurant tomorrow though so the dip might take a little longer to secure than otherwise.

No idea how I lost 0.88 lbs since yesterday given I ate loads of soup, some bread and butter and a couple of chip butties Hmm but I do still have an off tummy and so definitely lost some... uh... ballast that way. Shock

Not2bObvious · 29/01/2016 08:56

I'd like to lose some "ballast" 😩 Feeling very yucky this morning, half a bottle of wine & 2 small beers have left me a touch seedy, trying to resist the urge for bacon & toast, porridge just doesn't have the same appeal
