Yes, me! I'll sign up. 10lbs by when?

loopity · 01/12/2006 12:36

Hi fruitcake - welcome aboard

Some of us have been going a few weeks now but others have just joined in (see our old thread). Weigh-in is on a friday so today's a good day to start .

We tend to just encourage each other to eat sensibly and some of us post a food diary. Also nearly someone about to answer queries or to nag if eg snacking or wine habit getting out of control

I've stayed the same this week again

I've 5lbs off altogether, and have started to get my act together again

OP posts:
mancmum · 01/12/2006 13:07

I want to join please! Need to lose 1.5 stone so this will help as I need to keep in control over the next few weeks as have loads of nights out -- and they all seem to involve food and booze..

So when not out, am going to be very good

Today have had bowl of cereal, banana and few almonds... and pints of water!!

Will be good to join a support group!!

Well I have stayed the same this week, but that's not surprising as I had 3 meals out last week and a heavy drinking night

My total so far since we started is 7.5 pound, don't think I am going to make the 10 for Xmas, but will give it a good go this week

I am out at a 40th birthday tomorrow (with a free bar) :groan: and the following week I am in Ireland with a black tie do and on the wednesday I have a meal out, so it is going to be very tough.

At least if trying hard to counterbalance the nights out means I stay the same as I am now, rather than putting any on this side of christmas, it will still be a huge bonus. Can then start in ernest in january.

Hi all: have been snacking on new love: tiny candy canes. At 3 for 35 calories, they're a great substitute for my usual. You could, for example, have 12 and still be below 150 cals.

Will be off for a while - happily have sold my Mac (ugh) and back to PC, never to stray again. But will need to receive one and set it up before getting back online ... Everyone be good!

loopity · 01/12/2006 16:39

Thanks snorkle for doing the link and well done on weight loss this week, am very envious!

Welcome mancmum too

lornaloo · 01/12/2006 17:33

Hi everyone.
Nice new thread .
I lost a pound this week. I had lost 2 wednesday morning but I think wednesday made me put on a pound. When I weighed myself on thurs I still hadnt gained but when I weighed myself this morning I'd put on a pound from wednesday. Oh well at least I did lose something this week, unlike last week.

I just got a letter from my estate agent saying
'following our recent inspection, we are concerned about the condition of the property. In particular we noted the following:-
Light in kitchen need of cleaning
Finger marks on walls need wiping off.'

I'm so pissed off and offended. The house is always tidy and I clean everyday. It honestly is spottless. There are some finger marks on the walls going up the stairs which I will wipe off. I don't see why they care though as they will need to re-decorate before someone else moves in anyway.
As for the light in the kitchen. It was filthy when we moved in. The whole kitchen was. The cupboards were coverded in oil from someone frying in there, the extractor fan was orange, after some vigorous cleaning on my part it is now white! The tiles in the kitchen are in a bad state too.
They seem to want me to keep the house up to an impossible standard, a standard the house wasn't in when we moved in.
I'm guess I'm so anoyed because I know that I put alot of my time keeping the house clean. I was totally shocked when I got the letter.
I feel like writing back asking for new kitchen cupbards and tiles

lornaloo · 03/12/2006 20:36

Hi everyone, your all back!!
Didn't eat to badly yesturday but have not been good today.
I had nothing for breakfast, which is lethal for me as I end up binging.
Lunch went out for lunch and shared a combo with ds which was nachos without cheese for some strange reason, chicken wings and garlic bread. I had a burger and chips for main. Then ice cream for pud .
I know its bad.

lornaloo · 03/12/2006 20:36

shared combo with dp not ds

loopity · 04/12/2006 09:10

Morning everyone

The weekend was a bit of a disaster for me so will need to be good from now until friday weigh-in. Had a roast chicken dinner yesterday which was ok, lots of veggies etc but nibbled quite a bit last night - handful of crisps, packet of rolos, crusty bread and tapenade.

Am going to eat three good meals a day to try to avoid the snacking.

Good luck everyone.

Hi me23 - well done on the 2lbs off! Have made a big pot of vegetable soup this morning. Going out for walk now with ds2 so we will have big bowl each when I get back. Might search out my pedometer too and aim for the 10,000 steps again.
