I love a 'What did you eat today?' thread. But the one in chat was getting interesting as those not dieting were a bit unimpressed by the food day's of some.

I thought we could (if you like) say what 'plan' or method you are using, what you ate and how successful you felt the day was.

Breakfast, oatcakes with peanut butter an apple and grapefruit juice. Im a creature of habit!
No proper lunch, took the dds to a frozen yoghurt place. I had a small tub with strawberries and chocolate chips.
Dinner, salmon and rice with vegetables (didn't eat it all)
For supper I had Natures Best oats and honey biscuits.

Breakfast - small amount of Dorset Cereal no added sugar muesli and a banana
Lunch - cucumber sandwich made with one slice of wholemeal bread, a lighter babybel and a bowl of fruit salad (red/white grapes, kiwi, pineapple, mango, strawberries and blueberries)
Afternoon snack - handful of banana chips
Dinner - Quorn nuggets, chips and baked beans
Dessert - weight watchers fruit in jelly pot (only 23 cals) and a Go Ahead yogurt slice
Drinks - one cup of tea, lots of flavoured water

I need to up my veg but it's still a good improvement for me diet wise. I have lost 2lbs since last Thurs when I started so something seems to be working.

I also exercise using Fitness Blender videos on YouTube. They are brilliant - there are workouts ranging from 5 mins to 1hr 20 and they all focus on different things. Well worth a look.

L- went out, had beef, potatoes, peas and 2 scoops of ice cream
Had a natures own oats and honey biscuit
Then 2 ryvita with butter an apple an orange and grapefruit juice.

Breakfast - banana on 2 small slices wholemeal toast, scraping of 'light' butter

Dinner - Strawberries, raspberries, another banana. Bag of hula puffs.

Tea - Slimming world meatballs, spaghetti, homemade pasta sauce and 15g light cheese

awful weekend so starting again today if I can join you? I have a time difference so yesterday was:

B: Almond milk latte
L: tomato, cucumber, olive salad and a peach
D: vegan thai green curry with red rice, vegan spring roll and some random soup thing from a cheapo restaurant - the sauce was very thin so hoping it wasn't too highly calorific

Snacks: raw broccoli dipped in fucking amazing sprouted houmous, cookie dough bite, another almond milk latte, and a chai tea before bed

Snacks: 4 crisps with houmous

Alcohol: one G&T, one glass prosecco, one glass red wine Blush

B - 2 coffees

L - Salad with left over roast chicken & a dollop of lighter than light mayo. Also an apple which i'll throw some fat free yogurt over

D - Chicken legs (skin off) smothered in tomato puree, garlic salt & paprika served with courgette, red onion, sweet potato, baby tomato and peppers all roasted together

I'm trying to do the no "S" (non-)diet as trying to "diet" has screwed me up before and made me eat more chocolate :).. basically 3 meals a day with no seconds, sweets or snacks unless it is a Saturday, Sunday or Special day (birthdays etc..) no limits on what you can have or quantities..

yesterday I had:
Scrambled egg on 2 slices toast with spinach
Chicken (2 spicy thighs) and salad, nectarine. diet coke
Meatballs with asparagus and beans with basil and parmesan

Today had/will have:
2 poached eggs on 2 slices toast with spinach, peppermint tea
sushi for lunch
chicken stir-fry with rice or noodles

trying to drink lots of water too!

Yesterday was

French bread sandwich with a cold lamb kebab thing sliced in it with salad and coleslaw.
Apple, eat natural bar.

Tomato soup with more bread for dinner.
Mini cheddars.
Some biscuits.

Today will be

cheese, crackers, fruit for lunch
Pack of mikado biscuits.

Chinese pork with noodles and stir fry for dinner.
Ice cream cone.

I honestly cannot believe how little you guys eat.

I would fall down in a faint if I just ate what you had!

Here's mine from yesterday:

English muffin, peanut butter, banana. 2 x coffees. Nectarine.

Another coffee on way to work.

Massive bowl of fruit salad and cottage cheese as mid morning snack.

More coffee and loads of water

Huge chicken/feta/egg mayo salad. Pecan caramel brownie.

An apple that DS didn't want. Loads of cheese. Few slices of chicken, a krispbread with cheese spread. Two tablespoons of fleur de sel caramel honey (delish)

Steak, salad for dinner, roasted tomatoes. Glass of red wine.

And I was a bit hungry before bed.

Just for fun I thought I'd do my dream day of food:

B:Full English breakfast. Loads of coffee and fresh orange juice.

Snack: Carrot cake and coffee mid-morning.

L:Steak, jacket potato, grilled veg, coleslaw, salad. Choc brownie for pud. Red wine.

Snack: White wine, doritios, meze plate.

D: Onion bahjis to start. Chicken dupiaza, pilai rice, garlic naan bread, veg curry on the side. Massive slice of strawberry cheese cake to finish. Red wine.

I've just started calorie counting using mfp

Yesterday

Multi grain hoops with red milk (40g/100ml)
Half cheese sandwich with an apple
Tomato soup with x3 toast, diet coke
Banana and raisins (30g)
Breadsticks x3, biscuits x2
Ribena and water throughout day

Today

Belvita breakfast biscuits x2
Half cheese sandwich with grapes and an apple
Tandoori chicken with rice, diet coke, banana
Breadsticks x2
Ribena and water throughout day

Need more salad and veg! And definitely need to reduce my wheat looking at that. No biscuits or toast today.

And might treat myself to bacon and eggs for a change for brunch tomorrow.

Breakfast, half a cinnamon and raisin bagel and banana, I wasnt really that hungry but need to eat before I take medication.
Went to M&S for lunch, had selection of sandwiches (2 rounds, of bread) Friend was very impressed at my willpower, I usually have scone, jam and cream Grin
Dinner was cod and chillli cous cous.
I might have the other half of the bagel later.

toffeeboffin I like your style. Annoyingly my perfect day is pretty healthy, so why do I end up binging on crap a lot!!

Perfect day of food (with no consequences like feeling full or having a hangover)

B: excellent black coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, poached eggs with avocado and sautéed spinach on DH's freshly baked bread sprinkled with chilli flakes and sunflower seeds

Mid morning: almond milk latte

L: roasted cauliflower and chickpeas, pine nuts, quinoa, lemon, parsley and garlic dressing. Nearly ripe mango sprinkled with lime juice and paprika for pud

Afternoon slump: matcha green tea, mango and avocado smoothie

Afternoon pick me up: gin and tonic and lime and cucumber

Dinner: BBQ vegetable salad (corn, cauli, sweet peppers, courgette, aubergine) with feta, lime, coriander and jalapeño dressing and more coriander and jalapeños. Vegan key lime pie from Cafe Gratitude for pud, and a glass or two of crisp Pinot Grigio

Evening cocktail hour: dirty martini

Nightcap: Glenmorangie and some dark chocolate with sea salt and caramel

Today - 2 boiled eggs on whole grain toast (1 piece). I had some leftover bruschetta mix (tomato, basil, onion) so that went on there too. Tea.

Lunch - salmon with roast pumpkin, chickpeas and rocket (went out for lunch, very yummy). Water. Coffee.

Dinner - trying to think of one now but it will be basic as it's Friday night and I don't want to cook!

4 weeks in and my only "rule" is to include veggies or fruit in every meal and snack, as much as I can. It's working really well, nothing is forbidden but when you plan around veggies it naturally seems to make your diet happen by itself. I'm very happy.

In a world where what I ate didn't affect my weight, my ideal day would be

B - pancakes with Nutella and strawberries. Apple juice.

L - few slices pepperoni pizza, salad, garlic mayo. chocolate choux bun.

D - sweet and sour chicken balls with curry instead of sweet and sour. Small portion egg fried rice. Chips. Poppadom. Glass of wine.
