I love a 'What did you eat today?' thread. But the one in chat was getting interesting as those not dieting were a bit unimpressed by the food day's of some.

I thought we could (if you like) say what 'plan' or method you are using, what you ate and how successful you felt the day was.

Oh and I'm trying to stick to 1200 per day using MFP. Today have had mini cheddars, ham jalapeno & coleslaw sandwich and an iced doughnut! Not many cals left for tea...

So far today I've had

Frankie and Benny's 'The Works' breakfast without the sausage.
2 small lattes. I keep forgetting to ask for skinny ones.

I have 500 cals left for the day once I've put the cals in to the app.

I'm still not hungry though so I'm not sure what I will have later.

I'm not seeing much that is particularly unhealthy tbh. Confused

Picking out the least healthy-looking thing from mine:

I personally struggle to buy a particularly wide variety of food at any one time while on restricted calories because it'll all go off or we'll be tempted to eat it to make sure it doesn't get thrown away, hence two days in a row with wholegrain pitta + egg + bacon. The last two slices of bacon needed using, DP and I had one each, and the egg was poached and the bacon was grilled! Besides, the only vaguely unhealthy thing in that would be barbecue sauce and the bacon. But still, not really...

Plus my three cups of coffee, maybe? Which were necessary to get my bowel moving. Sorry for TMI.

I'm "no s" ing (no snacks, sweets or seconds except (sometimes) on Saturdays Sundays and special days)

B - protein bar, peach
L - egg, salmon & tomato sandwich, apple
D - ww macaroni cheese, pickled slaw (lots), small bag salted cashews
Now at home drinking a glass of red wine.Smile

Ok day i think. No S's, and I ate plenty of protein to stave of hunger. Wish I'd had more veg at lunch though, and seeds instead of salted nuts for tea.

B - 190g butter chicken,
82g banana,
63g mixed salad (shredded lettuce, white cabbage and carrot),

L - nothing, wasn't hungry for ages after the above

D - chicken en croûte thingy with bacon and basil creamy sauce in it,
59g sweet potato with a sprinkle of cinammon (tiny portion because one of them turned out to be all white and fibrous inside, so we split the other and threw the white one away),
113g steamed courgette cut into wedges,
35g of the same mixed salad I had at 'breakfast'
4g butter, tiny bit on the courgette when steaming and the rest on the sweet potato

Drinks: a coffee with milk and sugar, a couple of glasses of Pepsi Max, some water, a raspberry flavour Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer (which I am enjoying as I write) Wine

Yesterday I gad chips and tepur chicken, then went to the cibema and had a sweet popcorn Blush
Today Ive had 4 ryvita and butter with an apple
An apple, handful of grapes and a couple of slices of cheese.

Breakfast - grapefruit, slice of toast, cup of tea

Lunch - salad and spareribs

Snacks - I will probably have some watermelon, coffee and a packet of crisps and a baby bell cheese but only if my stomach growls with hunger.

Dinner will be baked potato with creme fraiche and salad and a glass of wine.

Yesterday I ate

Breakfast Toast and peanut butter,

Lunch boiled egg, salad,

Snacks- 3 packs crisps, 2 x baby bell, toast and butter, salted peanuts, cheese string. Putting this down to not having a substantial lunch.

Dinner baked potato creme fraiche, 2 bottles beer, third of a tub of Haagen daz.

Today brings...not a lot. I just haven't felt hungry all day. And as I'm trying to be a bit more mindful of my eating, I haven't eaten just because it was a mealtime.

So nothing to eat til I finally was hungry at dinner time when I had a huge salad to make up for it. 4 grillsticks, (2 beef, 2 lamb) mixed salad, lots of beetroot and a small amount of potato salad.

And I've just had a cornetto. Will probably have something else later.

I've been a slimming world member for almost a year.

Today I've eaten the following:

Breakfast- banana, muller light, nectarine & a peach.

Lunch- 2 boiled eggs, Special K chewy delight bar, muller light strawberries 2 satsumas.

Dinner - slimming world meatballs homemade pasta sauce ( tomatoes, mushrooms peppers onions celery carrot garlic Worcester sauce and oregano) with fusilli.

Snacks - apple, nectarine, banana 2 biscuits 2 hifi bars.laughing cow mini cravings x 4.

I've eaten tons today - all on plan with approx 10.5 syns.

I've planned tomorrow and I'm having weetabix for breakfast, left over pasta with salad for lunch and roast chicken and vegetables for dinner, fruit and a muller light for snacking. Fingers crossed I'll stick to it Wink

Ran 5k... Running 18 miles tomorrow. So I can eat whatever Sunday afternoon imo!

For lunch yesterday I had cheese grapes and an apple
Took the DDs out for cake and hot chocolate and had tea
For dinner I had fish and cous cous and nothing for the rest of the day

Today I'm going to all-you-can-eat sushi. I'm not too worried about trying to stay within my current self-imposed calorie limit (1150), just this once.

Yesterday:

B - Wholegrain pitta with 42g red chilli hummus and 3 steamed chestnut mushrooms with salt and pepper and garlic powder on them

L - Salmon en croûte with a spinach and cheese sauce inside, three more of the above mushrooms, 72g mixed salad (lettuce, cabbage, carrot). Banana as a follow-up

D - No real dinner to speak of. 65g raspberries, 48g blueberries, a mini babybel and a 10g square of 70% dark mint chocolate.

T - 1/2 a slimming world chicken tikka curry ready meal (massive portion sizes!) and rice

Dreadful food day, diet wise as not chosen by me. I did eat far less than would have pre diet though which is interesting.

Brunch - Dh made cooked breakfast. Sausage, bacon, beans and toast.

Dinner - chinese takeaway. Little bit of everything but no seconds.

Well I started back on slimming world today so super organised and feeling good (this will last about 4 days)

B - overnight oats (porridge oats HEB, Vanilla Muller Light and frozen raspberries layered up in a jar and left over night)
L - Mason Jar Salad (Coronation chicken and loads of salad layered up)
D - Going to be Gammon, egg, SW chips and beans

I'm totally imagining you dipping a whole cucumber into the pot of hummous. :)

Today has been dreadful again! I was round at a friend's and ended up away from home over lunch so didn't have any and as we were busy doing stuff I didn't think about being hungry either.

My stunning contribution to the thread for today was

L - nothing
D - leftover chinese food!

Snack just now - handful rich tea fingers.
