Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

Today

1/4 toasted bagel
1/4 ham sandwich & prob 1/2 packed cheese balls
1/2 jacket potato with prawns and salad... With a good helping of Mayo/Tom ketchup

2/3 bites of sausage
3 snicker celebrations

I can resist all but Richmond sausages/Jaffa cakes/snickers.... Fortunately the car polished off the rest of the sausage!!!

bberry · 11/08/2015 17:36

Cat.... ????????????

NotdeadyetBOING · 11/08/2015 17:52

Blimey you are restrained, Bberry! The idea of having a quarter of a bagel is just unthinkable to me . Have consumed protein bar and am now off to Zumba.

PointyBirds · 11/08/2015 18:08

Are you counting calories bberry? I'm a bit worried that you're taking things to the extreme. Your diet seems to be very restricted. How does it compare to what you normally eat?

bberry · 11/08/2015 19:12

Tbh I'm not really counting but know I'm under my 1000 top end...

1/4 bagel is just cause my 2 kids have the other 3/4...

I would rather have less in the day and look forward to a nice dinner in the evening as my reward, I know it flies in the face of eat your biggest meal in the morning but it's what works for me...

Horses for courses and all that....

PointyBirds · 11/08/2015 19:43

Oh sorry, I thought you were saying that was your full food diary for the day. What are you having this evening?

Having a big meal in the morning would be too much of a change to normal routine for me, I'd rather stick to having a main meal with the family in the evening too.

bberry · 11/08/2015 19:54

Oh yes, that is my full days diary...y jacket and prawn salad without of dressing was a big plateful!

I mostly eat dinner with the kids at 5...

PointyBirds · 11/08/2015 20:13

I thought you might say that. That's not enough food bberry, it just isn't. It's totally up to you of course, but I just wanted to state that for the sake of others reading the thread.

bberry · 11/08/2015 20:44

I view my eating/calorie intake on a weekly basis, not daily, so given my excess at the weekend i don't feel it's unreasonable to claw back some of the calories mon-thurs this week

Of course posting on a public forum does invite other opinions...

PointyBirds · 11/08/2015 21:33

The way you post is making me uncomfortable bberry. It's all 1/4 this, 1/2 that, a couple of forkfuls etc. Too much focus on self-denial and control for my liking, so I'll be leaving you to it.

Good luck everyone Flowers

NotdeadyetBOING · 11/08/2015 21:56

Made it to Zumba. Am going to embrace the Nutribullet tomorrow and try to stay away from the bag of bagels. Agree about boiled eggs and tuna. Have 4 hard boiled eggs already prepared in fridge and think one might go into some salad with tuna and other bits for lunch tomorrow. My trouble is it's a real mental shift to picture a meal without either bread, pasta, rice or potatoes. Work in progress….

Tryingno1 · 12/08/2015 10:53

Well done notdead! It takes a while to get used to it all so small steps in right way!

I've lost 2.5 pounds this week! Yay

bberry · 12/08/2015 12:55

Trying... Well done, that's fab!
Dead... I've not heard of the boiled egg thing but it makes sense, are they full of protein? I'll try some in a salad later (with salad cream on them, yum!)
Pointy.... Well leave it at a dignified distance/silence shall we

Tryingno1 · 12/08/2015 13:08

I don't know why a boiled egg is more filling. There's no reason for it but if I have 2 in a salad at lunch im soooo full! But if i poach 2 for brekkie I don't feel the same?! I think I'm just mad!
Having a frozen yoghurt treat tonight am so excited how sad is that!

Tryingno1 · 12/08/2015 17:12

Oh and yes eggs r high in protein. As well as fage greek yoghurt 0percent fat which has no added sweetners and not like ur usual low fat hugh sugar stuff, it's low fat low calorie high protein and the most filling brekkie ever! I have 150g with it with blueberries and fresh pineapple yum! One of the only breekies to keep me going till lunch time (in a bit if a grazer!)

bberry · 12/08/2015 18:27

Today

1/2 toasted bagel with butter and Nutella!
1/2 punnet strawberries
1 sausage, 1/2 jacket pot and small portion of beans
Packet of crisps and about 6 celebrations...Hmm
Tuna and egg salad

Felt hungry today so I gave in to temptation

Yhe Nutella started me off!!!!

Tryingno1 · 12/08/2015 21:13

Today

My usual kale smoothie

Latte and salmon salad

Bowl of lentil soup - was huge worried had too many calories in but didn't weigh it!
Frozen yog
Cherries

Am away at the weekend and must not out on weight!

NotdeadyetBOING · 12/08/2015 21:44

Today had morning smoothie (banana, beetroot, apple, protein powder). Then 2 bagels (ahem) for lunch with avocado, tomatoes, cucumber & a bit of houmous. Protein bar for snack. Supper was cauliflower, sea bass & green beans - followed by a nectarine. 250 over my 1200 MFP target, but near enough in my view.

KillashandraRee · 13/08/2015 04:22

I was back down to 10st this morning Grin so am really pleased so far this week and it's definitely helped staying away from the wine in the evening!

I've now got 1 stone to lose to get to target and be a healthy mid range BMI. I'm hoping to be half way there by Christmas and maybe reach goal around April. I think slow and steady is the only way I'll get there and keep it off so I'll be around for a while!

bberry · 13/08/2015 17:58

Good day

Small scrambled egg & toast
Small bowl granola & skim milk
Medium homemade spag carbonara
A teaspoon of Nutella!

Managed to not snack today which is the way forward for me i think...

Tryingno1 · 13/08/2015 18:10

Seems like Nutella is ur weakness haha! I love the stuff too it's soooo good!

Today yog and fruit
Chicken and veg for lunch
Dinner a glass of wine (!) and grilled veg and seabass
Also no anacking but having the wine!

NotdeadyetBOING · 13/08/2015 18:13

If I buy Nutella I eat the whole 400g tub. Seriously. Can do it in a single afternoon, it's shocking. Have to not have it in the house….

Today so far:

Breakfast: Greek yogurt , walnuts & raspberries
Lunch: Tuna, egg , mozzarella, olive salad with olive oil dressing. Also tomatoes & celery.
Snacks: Protein bar and 50g dark chocolate
Supper will be meatballs and broad beans

Currently 450 over on MFP (with dinner) so may go to gym in an attempt to get it closer to zero.

Tryingno1 · 13/08/2015 19:08

I'm the same re Nutella!

Notdead if I eat more than 1400 I don't loose weight I have to do 1200 or under. I'm not sure of ur activity levels or weight etc but u might find that it's hard to shift u do 1500 (but that's just my slow shitty metabolism-I don't excercise much u sound much more active)

NotdeadyetBOING · 13/08/2015 21:54

I am very active actually. Lots of walking and gym/dance/yoga. My ability to exercise rather depends on kids so I do less of it in the hols, but still try. Puts me in a better mood too. Feeling most virtuous after good gym session tonight. Will try to go again Sunday.

I have to look at my average calorie intake as it fluctuates wildly. Some days I can't help but let it all hang out with massive bowls of cheesy pasta, brownies etc. On those days I prefer to just relax and go with it. Then I'll do 5 days of trying to be sensible (aim for 1200, but realistically is more like 1400/1500).

Tryingno1 · 13/08/2015 21:57

I think if ur active then u def need a bit extra! I walk a lot but I'm not really a gym goer but have forced myself to do quick runs 3 times a week...week one I stuck at it! Let's see how week 2 goes ha!
