So, I was well and truly off the wagon last night. I had an interview for a great promotion that I know I would enjoy (it's broadly similar to my own role in another university) and I'm more than qualified for it but it went really badly. I spent a week prepping for it, I bought a beautiful new jacket, I studied my notes until I could recite them in my sleep... then I didn't finish the Excel test (a couple of really complex formulas I'd never come across before, very fiddly and time consuming) and then I bombed in the interview. None of them smiled, nodded or gave any encouraging signs at all so the silence and lack of response made me jangly and tense. I waffled a lot, I had to ask for two questions to be rephrased because I had no idea what she was asking me and I finally left feeling two inches tall.

Cue pizza, cake, chocolate and an entire pack of jam Wagon Wheels Sad

Oh no helenahandbag, I am sure it didn't go that bad... Hmm, fingers crossed you nailed it!!!

Well I have just weighed in and have GAINED 3lbs... Am absolutely gutted!!!! Sad I think this is due to lack of water or the fact I had some of dh's banana cake Confused

But this has just made me more determined to succeed!!! This weight will come off... Fed up with being flabby all the time... I want to be a yummy mummy again Grin

helenahandbag · 03/06/2015 12:27

It might be the cake - eating carbs/sugar will instantly replenish the glucose stores that you emptied while getting into ketosis (I believe, I may be totally wrong!) so the extra "water weight" will show up on the scales.

I want to curl up in a ball every time I think about me waffling into the dead silence, I really think it DID go that badly! Blush

can I join in please? I'm a seasoned vlcd-er. I can't seem to stick with it at the moment and feeling quite meh about it / me/diets/food BUT I really need to sort myself out.

does anyone fancy SMS support or anything? might be a good way to help spur each other on.

I cannot spend another summer spilling out of my fat clothes Sad

Morning ladies.. Have a rip roaring headache this morning and I am off to work! Nice...

Hoping it will subside and it will get better as the day goes on!

Hope your day starts off better than mine!! Smile

PhilomenaSkunk · 04/06/2015 08:07

hope you feel better twinkle.

I'm doing Cambridge. I like the shakes and feel really good on it. don't know why I've struggled so much but I'm feeling quite inspired (today anyway!)

starting back on it today

helenahandbag · 04/06/2015 09:43

Morning everyone! I finally managed to get a whole day of Exante Man Plan under my belt! Three Exante packs and two Heck 97% pork sausages, which tasted like a king's banquet by the time I got to them Grin

Today is three packs and poached eggs with asparagus and 1tsp melted butter. I'm drooling at the thought of it already haha!

zeis10 · 04/06/2015 10:15

Morning ladies, Twinkle maybe your body got confused with the cheese..hope the headache gets better very soon!

Philomena, just coming off Cambridge myself, as pricy and a bit powdery for my liking. Am starting on Exante now..half the price. Smile

Hi all! There is quite a few of us now.
Been really busy over the last week, so never got a chance to post.
Just had my weigh in, I lost 3, making 29lbs in total now.
Was a little disappointed, but hoping for a bigger number next week.

Everyone is doing so well, keep going!

bigbadbuddy · 04/06/2015 13:22

Hi everyone, so got weighed today (been on exante 2 weeks tomorrow) and have lost 7 pounds. In two weeks. I am very disapointed because I have stuck to it (ok, lets not count the extra pack a day)but I am determined to carry on this time. 6 weeks till my holiday. Can't seem to get below that 13 stone mark but to be fair its been a few years since I was below 13 stone.
I have waivered a few times but keeping strong, we can do this!

helenahandbag · 04/06/2015 14:18

bigbadbuddy

Are you definitely still in ketosis? I wouldn't be able to have four packs a day because 80g carbs would kick me out of ketosis. I'm doing the Man Plan, so I have three packs and 200kcal of low carb food. This gives me the calories I need without extra carbs so I stay in ketosis and burn fat more rapidly.

PhilomenaSkunk · 04/06/2015 16:05

I bought a job lot from someone but may have ri switch when they run out. what's xante like? where do you buy it?

I'm feeling really motivated today. did anyone see that story in the daily mail (I know!) about the woman who lost 6 stone and has regained?

bizarrely reading her story really gave me a kick up the arse. just hearing how happy she was and how good she felt lighter reminded me if me a few years ago. I was so proud of what I'd achieved and I felt really good. I'm determined to get back to that place. if nothing else because I'm bored of moaning to myself and "starting again tomorrow".

zeis10 · 04/06/2015 18:15

What other kinds of food do you have for your 200cals low carb meal Helenhandbag?

Cannot see that story Philomena, which one is it?
