Exante Diet offers a range of products that are suitable for vegetarians with the exception of Lamb Mousakka, Deliciously Different Beef & Black Bean pot meal and our NEW Strawberry Jam & Yoghurt Crunch Bar.

RufusTheReindeer · 31/07/2015 10:41

What did they do to the strawberry bar Shock

leaveitforgood · 31/07/2015 15:50

Hey Rufus ... Great for the excellent weight loss! Were you extremely strict with it and did absolutely no cheating? Asking only because I do tend to eat a bite in the evening Confused

Also, how do you know you are in ketosis?

lilacblossomtime · 31/07/2015 18:41

Sorry to hear the jam bar is not veggie, I think it probably contains gelatine but its a shame.

lilacblossomtime · 31/07/2015 18:46

Great weight loss Rufus, will you do it again in Sept?
Leavit you can guess you are in ketosis if you don't feel hungry and feel well and energetic. You may have a weird taste in your mouth. If you want to check you can buy ketosticks online to do a home test. I don't think it is that necessary but it might be helpful if you aren't losing weight or don't feel too good on the diet.

RufusTheReindeer · 31/07/2015 19:06

leave

I was very strict, I had one potato wedge, 4 crisps and a malteser. Over the 6 days, and nothing but water

I wee'd on a ketosis stick Grin

lilac

Yes I think I will do it in September, I think I'll do 5 days and then reduce it day by day for a few weeks and see how I get on

leaveitforgood · 31/07/2015 19:12

Thanks Rufus and Lilac!

RedButtonhole · 02/08/2015 17:56

Evening everyone! Well done on all your losses/ displays of excellent willpower!

I weighed in on Friday and lost 9lbs, however I was staying with a friend all weekend and felt horrendous (awful headache the whole time) and so I ended up eating on Saturday. I had a banana at breakfast, warburtons thin with ham, lettuce and tomato for dinner, then a small portion of plain chicken and brocoli for tea.

Not sure what that will do to my weightloss/ketosis but at least I was sensible not to pig out.

Has anyone had the Cambridge Diet Showcase magazine? I wondered if it had any stage 2 friendly recipes in it or if it was any good in general?

Deeznutz · 02/08/2015 23:48

Hello everyone. I am just hitting the one month mark of being on Exante and have dropped a dress size now. Still walking everyday and hitting between 12,000 -15,000 on average. I am really starting to notice it now.

I have added some ham or plain chicken in when I am needing to eat something in addition and have found that diet pepsi hasn't affected my weightloss so am sticking with that as it's doable for me.

I didn't reorder the mixed pack after the mingingness of the pineapple/orange and lemon/raspberry shakes. This month I went for porridge box of fifty and shakes box of fifty because they are edible!

I have had a couple of urges to eat a meal but have so far kept my resolve.

Hope everyone has had a good day Smile

carden · 03/08/2015 10:09

Well done Deeznutz

I'm feeling more enthused this morning. After a very slow start to the week the scales jumped and I lost 4 lbs last week so am very pleased.

So I've lost the stone that was making me miserable. Now I need to lose a stone to feel good. Smile

zeis10 · 08/08/2015 08:06

Hello All, this thread has gone quiet! I have been away for a week. Have been camping, so had time off from all this stuff. Just weighed myself and am pleased I have only gained 4lbs..could have been worse..still well within a weight range I have not been since 2006. Gonna get back on Exante now for up to a week, then we are off camping again. How is everyone doing? Smile

Welcome back zeis. Hope you had a good time.

I was starting to get lonely with no one else posting.....

I hadn't lost anything this week and then I was very very naughty last night. Complete binge. So much am not going to list what I consumed. (Although the scales are registering as much in one night as you put on over a week.)

Not going to beat myself up though. Just going to get straight back on it.

so here's to a good week for us both....

notapizzaeater · 08/08/2015 23:50

I've started today so am on day 1. Doing slim and save, have about 6 stone to loose. Been ok, just peeing loads, reckoned I've added 400 steps just going for a pee. Lost 1 stone with ww but it's too slow :-(

ariadnestar · 09/08/2015 20:39

Hello! Can I join? I've been doing Exante for a week now (with a day off yesterday for a pal's birthday - oops) and looking to drop a dress size in time to be a bridesmaid on Hallowe'en. I bought the 100 packs for £85 deal and it's been fun trying everything out - some real winners (chocolate pudding, carbonara, pancakes and porridge) and some less than pleasant ones too (cheese and bacon muffins, indian curry). The choice is impressive though! Already planning what to get in my next order, but better use this lot up first :-) Hope everyone's doing well and getting results - I'm avoiding weighing in until later in the week.

notapizzaeater · 09/08/2015 21:52

Hello ! I've conquered day 2. Been to a food festival today and I drunk a black coffee whilst DH and DS tucked into some lovely food :-) BrewBrew

RufusTheReindeer · 09/08/2015 22:02

Back from holiday late last night

Off to France for a week on Tuesday...I reckon I've put on loads of weight, it's the alcohol when on holiday

Not sure wether to weight myself tomorrow, will that just depress me? Or maybe it's all bloat and I've not gained back all the weight I lost Grin

It was just an experiment and I think I may try again after the 20th

May just try the bars and supplement with hard boiled eggs

zeis10 · 10/08/2015 00:37

Hey thanks Carden and hi to all new people. Am off to buy new pants this week,as mine are falling off me, ha! Wink

RufusTheReindeer · 10/08/2015 09:50

Not the bloat then...

carden · 10/08/2015 10:00

Well after my blowout on Friday I didn't lose any last week.

So new week, new start. Let's go for it!

AlexEames2015 · 10/08/2015 15:28

Hello everyone, I hope you dont mind me joining the thread Smile

I've been 'doing' Slim & Save since February. Was great to begin with, went on holiday in April nearly two stone lighter. However since the holiday its been hit and miss. Managed to lose the holiday weight but thats about it. Now I want to give it one last oomph. Evenings/weekends are the bad times for me - hence the half pot of Ben & Jerry's I ate last night. Anyhow, any advice/tips/kicks up the backside would be appreciated.

notapizzaeater · 10/08/2015 16:17

I play scrabble games on my iPad whilst watching telly so my hands aren't at a loose end :-). I've just returned from cinema with DS and was so good, didn't have anything to eat or drink. Just had a choc shake (made with ice so like a thick shake) and a huge black coffee. Tonight's tea will be some boiled ham and the aunt Bessie swede and carrot mix then a bar for my "supper" treat. I've got 12 more days to loose as much as possible then I'm away for a week at butlins with family so I will try to be as good as I can but will be hard :-(

notapizzaeater · 16/08/2015 16:37

One week in and I've lost 13lbs GrinGrinGrin

j200 · 16/08/2015 19:06

Notapizza that's amazing well done!! Can I ask how many calories a day you are on? I'm tempted as so sick of being fat and getting disheartened with how slow my weight loss is

notapizzaeater · 16/08/2015 19:45

I'm doing slim and save so 2 packs a day, one choc bar a day and a low carb meal (100g protein and 200g veg) and 150ml of skimmed milk (so,I can have my cups of tea)

carden · 17/08/2015 08:55

Weigh in day....lost 1kg last week. That seems to be my weekly loss now. Obviously I'd like it to be more but given I'm not hungry and don't have to think about buying and preparing food I'll be sticking with it. (Although sulking a bit that the Red Bean Chilli seems to have disappeared from the site.)

Last week I had a virus and spent a couple of days in bed and didn't move much the rest of the week. However I didn't lose any less or more than I normally do. I usually walk 5 miles a day (10k steps), do C25k and beginners shred every other day. Will get back to it to this week though as it's about getting fitter and building up strength so I can continue when I'm not on this diet.

The other thing I've really noticed is that I seem to need much less sleep than I am used to. I don't feel bad for it physically but do keep thinking I know I should have more than 5 to 6 hours.

How's everyone else doing? Does anyone else find exercise makes a difference and / or their sleep has been affected?
