I had an impromptu night out, not too bad food wise, but a lot of wine. Feeling it today, but determined to jump straight back on the wagon.

zeis10 · 31/05/2015 10:28

Morning! Good for you OneTwoOrThree. The off night out cannot hurt, as long you get back on! Smile How is everyone else doing? I am on day 6 now, in the throes of ketosis and have the proverbial metallic mouth this last couple days...does this pass, does anyone know?

OP posts:
twinkle183 · 31/05/2015 15:06

I would say so but I would get ketosis sticks and pee on them to make sure you are.... Having a okay time but think I have hoped out of ketosis cos of dh having baked banana bread and insisting I have a bloody slice! Angry not impressed but it's not his fault as he doesn't know what I am up to....

Keep going girls.... Fab work! X

zeis10 · 31/05/2015 18:21

He doesn't know Twinkle? How have you manged to hide it?! My daughter age 11 has not noticed yet, but then we often at different foods. Am sleeping later afternoon this last few days, hope my energy picks up next week. Grin

Can I join in please? I'm doing Slim and save. Day one for me but I have done vlcds in the past. Sat here starving and really want to go get a takeaway. However I'm lazy and my "ex" is sat in the house next door with his new (skinny) gf so I can't leave and bring back takeaway Hmm

I've just seen the weather forecast for next week. Scorchio! Hopefully I will have lost a decent chunk of weight by next weigh in.

zeis10 · 31/05/2015 22:16

Hello Misssss yes of course join in! I am only on day 6 and never done this before..but it seems easier than so many things I have done, I cannot see why it has taken me so long to give this a go. How much have you got to lose? Grin

Official weekly weigh in tomorrow morning. Excited!

Firmly back on the wagon after last night. Feeling proud that I've bounced back, because a night off the diet is normally the end of the diet!

Misssss · 31/05/2015 23:08

Thank you Zeis

I'm massive I need to lose at least twelve stones. Please don't judge. I've lost two already this year through healthy eating and exercise but it's taking forever and vlcds are fast.

I went to the gym this evening and did some exercise which made me feel a bit better. I'm petrified of loose skin and apparently a few work outs a week and body brushing should help. Does anyone do alizonne on this thread?

twinkle183 · 01/06/2015 08:31

Welcome Missss you won't get judgement her....

Dh works always but decided to come home yesterday and baked!! I tried refuse but got that old chestnut of "you look great, one slice won't hurt".... Hmm so he's away again as of this afternoon so it won't be a problem!!! He's doesn't really approved of vlcd, but I need a jump start! Am back on the wagon today... Gonna do sole source for the next 6 days....

Am looking forward to seeing your results.. Am off to the gym later so hopefully restart my weight loss with a bang!! Have a few days off work to sort myself and be strong for work x

Keep going girls xxx

zeis10 · 01/06/2015 08:45

Good for you OneTwoOrThree it was just one night Smile

Morning Misssss, well judging isn't really my style here - huge respect for what you are about to achieve though!!! You have made a great start haven't you? Two stone is a lot and if you have done it before, you can do it again.. and I think it is good to take a planned in break from this VLCD from time to time and wonder if this will help with body adjustment on a number of levels, including potential loosening of skin. Have just resumed body brushing actually, so glad that will be useful. There is loads of stuff online about dealing with/preventing loose skin, but l have not looked at it yet. Grin

Hi everyone, I've been all over the place since I last posted. Some days I've eaten well, others I've eaten an obscene amount of rubbish Blush

Back on the Exante wagon today with 90 days until my summer holiday. I've faffed about since new year and I'm only 4lbs lighter since then (it was 10lbs lighter but I can't stop eating Angry)

I'm aiming for a mixture of Total Solution and Working Solution days when I feel I need extra food, and not punishing myself or getting stressed when I can't stick to three packs a day. I always go at Exante gung-ho and then slide off the wagon when I can't stick to TS, so I'm cutting myself a bit of slack.

zeis10 · 01/06/2015 11:04

Hey Helenahandbag good to see you back..how much do you want to drop before your holiday?

OP posts:
helenahandbag · 01/06/2015 11:13

I would love to lose 3st but that would be a really tall order and I want to avoid putting that pressure on myself this time. I'm aiming for 2st and any more would be a great bonus.

zeis10 · 01/06/2015 18:27

I am sure 2 stone is doable Helenahandbag.

I am feeling pretty lethargic late afternoon and evening..do other people get this? I heard energy is supposed to kick in after a while..hope so! Smile

Zeis10 I do (waves hand) when I am at home and the kids are school I always need a power nap around 2pm cos I just can't keep my eyes open!!! I seem to spend most of time sleeping... I know it will get better... Usually week 2 is better!!! Keep going girls x

zeis10 · 01/06/2015 22:51

Well week 2 starts tomorrow Twinkle so I hope so! I have spent most of my time this evening now 11pm from 4 pm, either snoozing or wishing I were snoozing! Nite nite Zzzzzz

That's a fantastic loss... Well done Zeis10!! Am back at square one i think?? To scared to get on the scales!!

So just gonna start again... Onwards and upwards! What's exante like??

bigbadbuddy · 02/06/2015 13:22

Hi everyone, weighed in on friday, lost 5 pounds, measly 5 pounds! Quite disapointed really, I am eating a pack more but I didn't think it would make too much difference.
Waivered a bit Sunday really wanted some cake and struggling since but carried on, think it is more the fact that I know I haven't lost much so what's the point? However day 14 today, keeping going. Will be worth it in the end and it's a long journey.
Exante nice mainly, lots of choice and some lovely puddings.
Hope everyone else is coping better than me!

ThatsWotSheSaid · 02/06/2015 13:41

Hi :0)
I'm on day 17 of a less than 800 calories a day vlcd. I'm doing it in secret because people are extremely judgey about it for some reason. I've been telling people I'm doing the 5:2. I'm about 2lbs off not being obese anymore so that's exciting! First time in a couple of years.
I'm planning to start upping my calories and upping my exercise from the 10th of July when hopefully I'll be closer to a healthy weight.
Total loss 13lbs

twinkle183 · 02/06/2015 13:47

Bigbadbuddy... A loss is a loss!!! Don't feel disheartened, you feel great!! Just keep going xxx

ThatsWotSheSaid · 02/06/2015 13:51

Bigbadbuddy - I had 5 days where I didn't lose anything at all for some reason. You probably have lost more fat just retained water or something. Hormones can affect weight as well.

twinkle183 · 02/06/2015 14:33

Welcome ... ThatsWotSheSaid!! Wow on your progress!! Fabulous results xxx

OneTwoOrThree · 02/06/2015 20:40

So, week one and a loss of 5lb. Pretty happy with that, particularly as I had a night off on Saturday - normal dinner, small pudding and loads of wine!

Jumped right back on the diet wagon on Sunday, and am still full of motivation.

Finding that the low carb and low calorie combination is working really well - a few mild sore heads (must drink more water!!), but not really feeling hungry at all.

During the week, I'm having an Exante bar for breakfast (sometimes having half for breakfast and half for lunch) and then a low cal / low carb dinner.

Five and a half weeks til holiday, and I'd love to lose another 20lbs. Feels ambitious!!

zeis10 · 02/06/2015 23:06

Bigbadbuddy, I think losing 5lbs is good for a week, think of that being 1 1/2 stone in a month. Remember a regular diet means losing only 1-2 lbs a week.

Twinkle so fa so good with Exante. Loving the chocolate Peanut bar..its like a reese bar or something and feels kind of substantial and chewy Really like the curry and the porridge was yummy too..ordering a new loads
tomorrow. Smile
