sorry! can't do it - it's in the femail section - with about another 20 weight loss stories - they're obsessed!

great day so far - 2 shakes and a low carb meal, followed by a 3 mile walk. knackered!

PhilomenaSkunk · 05/06/2015 07:28

have a good day everyone. Fridays are always my toughest day... need to stay focused!

bigbadbuddy · 05/06/2015 13:07

Helenahangbag, good point! never thought of that, just felt like i needed something on a night to keep me going., sob. Darn it, will have to manage on 3 packs. Mind you I am still only eating 800 cals a day its not much and I'm never hungry.
I have just had a box of cookies and cream bars delivered that were out of stock, have had to lock them away because they look so nice.

zeis10 · 06/06/2015 10:50

Morning ladies1 How is everyone doing? Am on day 12 here, still no problems with hunger, but not enjoying the taste in my mouth. Off to get breath freshener! Anything else I can do about it? :)

Yay I am in ketosis... Peed on a stick at work... But have changed my diet slightly sorry girls but couldn't afford to do vlcd.. So am doing ketogenic instead which as the same effect as what you lot are doing except I am eating food!!! It's working really well for me as the girls at work are doing it and have al had really good results...

I am not craving anything.. Nothing sweet at all! Am not missing any bread or pasta or even chocolate... And I am a chocoholic!! Feeling great with bags of energy!!!

Keep going girls we will reach out targets xx

zeis10 · 07/06/2015 07:52

Morning ladies day 12 for me and I am down by 10lbs. Still losing, but more slowly than last week. Feeling good apart from the metallic mouth, but have a breath spray and might just take some toothpaste with me today (I like the taste of mine!) and swill it around my mouth, as that feels like I have brushed my teeth. Smile

Hey Twinkle, so great to see you so upbeat. Do you mean you could not afford VLCD financially, or in another way? Now I have switched to exante, my weekly food bill for me is only £21, so defo less than I would spend normally, with virtually nothing bought in terms of meals/snacks when out and about. Curious now, are you still doing 600cals a day, or more lenient. Glad it is working. Grin

There are quite a few people posting now, which is fab, so sorry if I have missed any questions. Been reading back and Philomena about Exante, I find it varied, tasty and a very good price, with lots of special offers. www.exantediet.com

They say only to do sole source for 3 weeks, then up to 800 cals, or more for a week or so. I wonder if they are covering themselves, as you do it yourself, with no consultant, like Cambridge. From my research the medics seem to be saying, as long as you have no health problems, you should be OK to do a VLCD for 12 weeks. Cambridge say this too and they are extremely longstanding, 30 years I think..

Have a great Sunday everyone! Smile

Checking back in.... I seem to be drifting from vlcd to low carb'ing, and am trying to do both! Not easy, but seems to be working. Had grilled aubergine with cheese for lunch - v nice!

twinkle183 · 07/06/2015 16:53

Yeah it's a fantastic website.....

Well I can't afford to spend even £21 on just myself as I am currently food shopping for 4 adults and 3 kids!!! But also I was missing food and was struggling with the low calorie part.. The bad heads were awful and getting me down!!

I love ketogenic there is no calorie counting just carb counting so that I stay in ketosis!! Feeling great at the moment.. So much energy! Am eating loads and loving it... Am sorry I feel like I have side swiped this thread Blush!!!

I am wearing a pair of jeans that haven't fit for the last 6 months... So feeling on top of the world! Smile

Keep going girls and welcome to any newcomers will read the thread properly when I get home!!!

I am starting slim and save tomorrow! I want to lose 4 stone Shock

ThatsWotSheSaid · 07/06/2015 20:52

Hello. Had a blip on Saturday... I had to eat because I was having a dinner party and I knew I was going to drink. But I am back on today and I think I got away with it.
I'm on day 22 and I've lost 16lb :0)

twinkle183 · 07/06/2015 21:25

Wow 16lbs that's awesome!! I want to loose 16lbs plus... Just at the start i think.... Staying positive and gonna get a weigh in I think... I know it's early but I am impatient x Grin

ThatsWotSheSaid · 07/06/2015 21:51

Thanks... Ive a long way to go still. I've been weighing myself every morning then putting it in a free weight tracker app that rounds it out on a graph. It stops me building myself up for a weigh in then getting disappointed. I'm doing it for 55 days so I hope to lose at least another stone by then and after that just do normal low cal and lots of exercise.

zeis10 · 08/06/2015 06:31

Hello LowCarbHeaven 4 stone, you can defo it. We are all supporting each other here.. Grin

ThatsWotSheSaid, 16lbs in 21 days ..amazing! What VLCD are you on?

Just wondering, for those of you who have have much experience of being on a VLCD in the past, who have also been consistent with it (i.e. not failing off wagon!) how much can your weight loss vary from week to week?? Is it much the same like 3-5lbs a week, or can it be 1lb one week and then 4lbs the next week..would be very interested to know, Thanks! Smile,

ThatsWotSheSaid · 08/06/2015 09:47

I'm not on meal replacements I'm doing it with real food. I have a bmi over 30 and no medical conditions at all so apparently it okay as long as it's short term and I'm very careful to eat lots of protein and drink water I also take a multivitamin. I have been tested for diabetes and anaemia and I've had a ECG so I know I'm in good health. The advice is always speak to your doctor first.

zeis10 · 08/06/2015 12:14

Good for you ThatsWotSheSaid, how many cals are you having? :)

bigbadbuddy · 08/06/2015 13:23

Hi everyone, 3rd week for me, 18th day and i have lost 11 pounds now, can definately feel it in my clothes. I am still on four packs of exante because I can't give up my nightly pack and succumbed to fish and chips friday night and a piece of cake yesterday. All going well though, very determined and it helps to see the weight loss results.

twinkle183 · 08/06/2015 16:13

Well done on the losses... Have lost 2 lbs which I am happy with as I have mucked my body around quite a bit! So onwards and upwards will re weigh on Monday again... Have reintroduced exercise now! X

OneTwoOrThree · 08/06/2015 18:18

Some great results out there ladies, very impressed!

I've got good news to report too! I've lost 7.5lb in two weeks - 5lb the first week, then 2.5lb the second week. Delighted, and that's despite three nights off the diets, which included lots of wine as well as wine-munchies!

I think the two naughty nights this weekend are still hanging over me (weight wise), however have been good as gold today and yesterday. Fingers crossed this means a big loss this week, if I can avoid the naughty nights at the weekend.

ThatsWotSheSaid · 09/06/2015 11:20

Well done onetwootthree and twinkle.
Zeis10 - I seem to be losing on average 4lb a week but it hasn't been consistent.
I'm eating between 600-800 cals. Low carb and as little sugar as possible. I'm eating mainly home cooked food so I have to guess a bit. I'm eating lots of fish, eggs, lentils, beans, quorn and veg/salad. but I have to admit I'm having dreams about dunking a loaf slice of tiger bread in a pot of warm butter!

zeis10 · 09/06/2015 11:38

And that tiger bread dipped in warm butter shall be yours, ALL yours...one day, dear ThatsWotSheSaid, together with the svelte physique that is your birthright! Wink

4lbs is great then, as an average I lost 8 in 1st week and then 2 in the 2nd, but feel another lb about to slide right off. Grin

OP posts:
twinkle183 · 09/06/2015 16:40

Oooo tiger bread!!! (Dribbling) that's lovely..... Hoping to loose a bit more this week... Fingers crossed! But 2lb is a good start xxx

zeis10 · 10/06/2015 07:29
