Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding?

I need to lose at least 2 stone by June.

Tbh I haven't done too bad over Christmas and haven't gained afaik? avoided scales.

I'm 5ft 8 and weigh just over 13 stone. Am a size 14. My stomach is my worst area, legs and arms are fine as are boobs.

I only want to get to a size 12 as don't look so good as a 10. I used to be really skinny when younger and hated it.

Anyone else need to lose weight for their wedding? I'm not even looking at dresses yet until I lose some.

dowser sorry to hear about your cousin, look after yourself xx

dancing well done on the c25km thats how i started with my running, its fab.

gotredyou look fab :)

Speaking of running i havent been sjnce thu? When i did 10km, am just not feeling it at the mome t. My mood is all over the place, am knackered and my eczema is shit. I saw the dr yesterday and have some new cream but she said given the miscarriage and madthing2's aspergers diagnosis i need to give myself a break. She is checking my iron levels etc as thinks i am aenemic as well. I feel like i just need a kick up hr arse, i have lost my mojo and motivation. Just wasted ages on the phine trying to sort out an issue with my mobile, its like banging my head against a brick wall. I have put in an official complaint so pissed off.

Need to blitz the house and i just wamt to go back to bed. Arghh where is my get and go?!

Dancingwitch · 10/03/2015 11:38

Gosh Mad it sounds as though you have a lot on your plate. A MC will leave you all over the place both emotionally, hormonally & physically so I'm not surprised you're not feeling yourself, especially with DC2's diagnosis too. Was his diagnosis a surprise or was it something you were pushing for (sorry of I have phrased this in the wrong way, my only experience of ASD has been through a friend & she mainly seemed to feel relief when her DS was diagnosed as she had known for years that there was something going on).

About 10 mind after posting last night, I polished off the rest of the Smarties (need to replace them before DD notices), was then overcome with an urge for bread & butter and, after demolishing two slices, realised it was PMT so accepted the inevitable & ate most of a large bar of Dairy Milk and had a hot chocolate. So much for it being a successful fast day! Interestingly, I am not in as much pain as normal & haven't been as moody or lethargic which I think is probably related to the exercise I've been doing.

5madthings · 10/03/2015 12:02

The diagnosis was not a suprise no, just reading thr educational psychologist report in black and white was a bit of a kick in the teeth. He is really bright so academiclaly ok, but cant cope with the set up at hih school. Hopefully more support eill now be put in place but its a slow process and needs lots of chasing up.

Yep dr said it was normal to feel as i do after miscarriage as hormones etc gojng crazy which has upset my eczema which makes me miserable anyway as its so uncomfortable and the itching stops me from sleeping. I will be fine, my weight is staying the same which is good. I just need to get on top of myself, get in a routine exercising again etc. Trying to sort out the house, but you know when you don't quite know where to start and its just never ending... plus madthing4's bday sunday so party to plan, cake to make. He wants an emmett cake (from lego movie). Dp has crazy shifts this week so just need to get throuh til next wed..

Oh and we had the really stupid idea of sorting out the lego, we have thousands of pounds worht of lego, think 8 under bed storage boxes full, an ikea trofast unit full snd various oher boxes yet decided it would be good to sort it so technic seperate snd bionicle stuff seperate snd all tiny oieces together snd anoyher box for all the mini figures. Dear god what where we thinking, it is a mammoth task and oddly enouh the madthings have lost all enthusiasm for helping.

I find i dont get pmt or cramps as much when exercising dancing the running really helps i just need to make myself go!i will get my running kit ready so i can go as soon as dp gets in tonight at 7, then he can deal with bedtime!

Well you look great to me but I know it's all subjective.

I had dinner with a little bird last night....the American lady ...well she ate like one.

She's tiny, tiny slim frame, tiny legs, tiny bone structure....at a generous size 14 I felt like a heifer to her petite , dainty size 6.

She's vegan. She ate what looked like a bit of a burrito with a sauce that had tomatoes , onions, mushrooms...that would have been my starter!

I don't have the bone structure for a size 6, 8, 10 maybe a 12 but that's as low as it goes. You can only work with what you've got. And if you have a big bone structure that's as good as it gets.

I think I can understand how someone can be 5' 6" and be overweight at 9st 7 . If they have a teeny, tiny frame.

Makes a bit more sense now.

So, I shall take my fat lolopy self off to the beach and tan my hide. And delude myself I look slimmer with a tan ;-)

gotredonyou · 10/03/2015 16:13

Thanks all, I just think I would look better in a bodycon dress or something a little more flattering..

FreakinScaryCaaw · 10/03/2015 17:23

If you would feel better in a bodycon then probably best. It's how you feel that counts. But you still look great Smile

Dowser · 11/03/2015 09:31

I like it very much. It shouldn't date either. Grand choice.

SoonToBeMrsB · 11/03/2015 09:57

I like that too, it's a really classic cut and will be very flattering.

Food yesterday was on plan and this week I'm down 1lb on the scales even after I went into destructo-mode at the weekend and fell face-first into pizza, macaroni cheese and a cream tea Blush

B: Porridge with cinnamon, nutmeg and maple syrup, morning detox tea
L: Baked potato with beans and a cheese single, 2x clementines, Nakd bar, WW yoghurt
D: Chicken burrito bowl, coconut and vanilla flavoured popcorn with the new episode of Pretty Little Liars on Netflix Grin
S: Banana before bootcamp, night time detox tea

gotredonyou · 11/03/2015 10:07

ooh whats a chicken burrito bowl? sounds nice!

My menu today-
B Granola, berries & almond milk
L Tuna Mayo Salad, Greek yoghurt & Almonds.
D Chicken Fajitas with peppers, onions etc..

SoonToBeMrsB · 11/03/2015 10:26

It's everything you can cram into a burrito without the bread! I dice chicken breasts and cover with fajita seasoning, add some water and leave to simmer so it reduces down to a lovely spicy sauce. I then chuck that in a bowl with rice, some salsa, red jalapenos and a dollop of fat free natural fromage frais, which works brilliantly as a sour cream replacement. I make DP a chunky guacamole with avocado, garlic, hot sauce, lemon juice and salt - I sometimes have a bit if I've got spare calories but it doesn't make or break the recipe.

It's a pretty lean meal so not huge in calories but I always leave the table with a food baby Grin

gotredonyou · 11/03/2015 10:33

Yum Smile

FreakinScaryCaaw · 11/03/2015 11:45

Love the dress.

Been into work for training and didn't have time for breakfast. Had omelette with seeded toast. No exercise yet.

Weight is stable.

I found my dress.

But girls I am gutted, I have had to leave it in the shop.

We took a bus to Las Galletas a little fishing village out of Los Cris. After siesta the shops opened and I saw my nice chiffon dresses at the side of the shop and there was an actual white one.

It was beautiful. It was one shouldered which I don't like for me but the other shoulder was all diamanté . It had tiny pleats on the bodice and a shirred panel at the back. Under the waist and on the opposite side to the diamanté shoulder was another little diamanté design going down

€60 . Perfecto!

So I tried it on. It fit. It looked amazing against my tan and then I took a closer look. Padding I in the bodice sort of created a sort of barricade around my bust. If there's online I don't need padding it's there.

It took away all my shape. How can I explain it, like I didn't go in under the bust to my waist.

Normally I would have taken it home and seen if it could be altered but I had the feeling if I took out the padding the bodice would collapse or just be huge and it might have been difficult to take in the little pleats.

So, reluctantly I had to leave it but it was my dream dress and I would have felt like a princess/ bride in it.

It's set the standard and I don't think I'll find another like it.

Maybe the dress was just too big it was L/ XL :-(

Should read ...padding in the bodice

If there's one place I don't need padding !

Looked at some of the dresses online when we got back to the apartment and none are as pretty as this.

Should I have bought it. I think I should. I just don't know what to do. It really gave me a weird shape and imallbloated as ihavemy eaten right.

Had sangria and ice cream today....separately ...but the sun was shining beautifully and we were on the pier in our fave little cafe....and it just felt like I was on holiday ....your honour!

Doh!

gotredonyou · 12/03/2015 09:18

hmmm maybe you should've bought it and got it altered to fit you properly...especially for the price...could you go back??

SoonToBeMrsB · 12/03/2015 09:58

Yes, I'm sure a dressmaker could do something with it and for that price it would be worth it!

Dowser · 12/03/2015 11:18

Yes, we could go back. I don't have the skills to start messing around with zips ( it has a side zip) and the little pleats on the bodice put me off . If it had been plain fabric and no zip I would have given it a go. As it stands the bodice would have to be remade. It was lined too.. I wish I'd taken a photo to show you.

It looked like I was wearing a breast plate is the best way to describe it.

SoonToBeMrsB · 12/03/2015 12:34

Urgh, why are some people just so unhelpful? A colleague that I see maybe twice a week came in to my office to give me something and I'm currently on lunch so he could see my food on my desk. He commented on my small bag of vanilla and coconut popcorn, which comes in at a tidy 109kcal for the bag and a low fat and sugar content. The conversation went like this:

Him: "Popcorn? Are you watching movies at your desk?"
Me: "No movies, I'm just trying to stop eating crisps from the vending machine."
Him: "I doubt that's much better for you than crisps!"
Me: "Actually, it's air-popped so it's much healthier than my usual bag of McCoys."
Him: "Well, I can't say I know much about air-popped popcorn!"

THEN DON'T EFFING COMMENT YOU SANCTIMONIOUS PRICK. Totally ruined my mood, and my lunch Angry

Dowser · 12/03/2015 19:08

Lol! Mrs B!

That'll teach him.

Dowser · 12/03/2015 19:15

It looks like a glass of sangria is the new green juice. Well this lunchtimes one was full of fruit.

Trouble is I'm not a drinker, so just one and the top of my head lifts off. I'd got myself in a bit of a lather at 3 pm when we got messed around again by the wedding company and was ready to let them have it with both barrels.

So we went for a cool off and a drink and I chose the sangria. Course it hardly touched the sides and was just thinking I fancied another one of them when pow! It hit me!

I would have been their biggest bestest friend after that. It took ages for it to wear off as well!

OH probably dreading tomorrow lunch now. I've got the taste for it.
