Congratulations Flutterbee! And thank you WWB for getting all the results together.

JackieNo · 17/08/2006 11:04

OK - doing a big post about the meet-up now.

As far as I know it's:

Littlefish + DD
Suejonez
MrsJohnCusack probably + DD
JackieNo + DD and DS

The plan is to meet in Oxford tomorrow, somewhere between 11 and 11.30. If coming by car, I'd advise using the park and ride as parking in Oxford's not great.

Original plan was to meet for a picnic at Christ Church meadow (meet just inside the gates in the picture on that link), but I have a feeling that the weather's going to be too cold, and probably rainy for that (it's raining right now), so the fallback is to meet at the Clarendon Centre mall in the centre of Oxford, outside Zara. Then to go for lunch probably to Bella Pasta (now called Bella Italia).

Anything I've missed? Anyone other BigMoFos are very welcome to come along - the more the merrier. If we're definitely deciding to go to Bella Italia, I might give them a ring to book a table and some high chairs, or if people think we might change our minds and try somewhere else, I can leave it. What do people reckon?

Oh yes - we were going to try to let each other know mobile numbers....

schneebly · 17/08/2006 11:06

I wish I could come and meet you all!

WigWamBam · 17/08/2006 11:06

Jackie, Littlefish and MrsJC emailed me their mobile numbers, I can let you have them when hotmail stops playing up

OP posts:
MrsJohnCusack · 17/08/2006 12:06

yes and I will have suejonez with me tomorrow so you only need my mobile...

Am definitely going to bring DD tomorrow & she'll want a high chair. Think booking may be a good idea with all those children! Bella Italia is fine by me. Looking forward to it and meeting you!

well done on all the losses. Flutterbee - - well done!

suejonez · 17/08/2006 13:56

I think alittlebitshy also did well losing 2lbs as she was away for part of the week.

I'm definitely eating less at the moment (long may it continue) think its more to do with oanic than any sudden revelation about my eating habits though!

JackieNo · 17/08/2006 14:07

Thanks WWB - if you could let me have the mobile numbers that would be fab. I also sent you my mobile number with last week's weight, if anyone needs it. Thank you very much for acting as 'postmistress' WWB. I'll ring this afternoon and book a table.

Sue - DON'T PANIC (those were large, friendly letters).

suejonez · 17/08/2006 14:18

I feel a bit like that man in Dad's army who used to run around shouting "Don't panic. DON'T PANIC!"

JackieNo · 17/08/2006 14:22

. But don't. Although if it's helping you to not eat... No, still not healthy.

WigWamBam · 17/08/2006 14:35

Jackie, have sent you the mobile numbers. Have gone through all of your emails but can't find one where you give your mobile number. If you email me with it again I can let the others have it too.

OP posts:
JackieNo · 17/08/2006 14:38

Thanks for that WWB - have sent you mine - maybe I imagined doing it before. Sorry!.

JackieNo · 17/08/2006 15:14

Right - table booked in my name for 12 o'clock.

alittlebitshy · 17/08/2006 17:04

I am so jealous of you all meeting up!!!!
It turns out that I could have come after all (i got confused with today) but I am a big wimp and am too scared to travel accross london THEN on the oxford tube/whichever on my own (well with dd... i would be fine on my own iyswim).

I have found the ultimate boost to keeping going. Get some new smaller clothes that FIT. Wow, the momentum has come right back now!!

not looked at list of losses yet, am about to do so, but the thing i want to say is WELL DONE EVERYONE whatever your result. It's the mindset that's important right now!!!

suejonez · 17/08/2006 17:18

you could still come... big girly wuss.

Trains are from Paddington and quite qick and IIRC walking distance into Oxford centre. Would be a lovely adventure for your dd!

JackieNo · 17/08/2006 17:32

Oh go on, alittlebitshy - do come - it would be lovely to meet you too.

alittlebitshy · 17/08/2006 18:23

waaaaaah!!! Just looked at trains but am not happy about idea of changing trains with dd. I'd miss it for sure lol.

if only i'd passed that test the 2nd time rather than 3rd (well 4th rather than 5th technically) I'd feel happier about driving it, but there is no way on this earth i am driving that kind of journey yet.

i think I'll bow out this time, but look forward to hearing all about it and to there being another date soon!!!!!

and yes, i AM a wuss!!!

Littlefish · 17/08/2006 19:38

Is the table booked as "JackieNo", or just "Jackie"!!!!

Can't wait to see you all tomorrow.

Does anyone know roughly how long it takes to get from the Park and Ride to the Clarendon centre?

I'll see you tomorrow between 11.00 - 11.30.

I'll check my hotmail later tonight for an e-mail of mobile numbers. Thanks for sorting that out WWB.

JackieNo · 17/08/2006 20:35

Alittlebitshy - I'm a wuss too - if I was doing the trip in reverse, ie going into London, I'd be stressing out about it.

Err - it's booked as Jackie plus my surname. Give me a ring if you need any more info. If I don't answer tomorrow, it's because I'm driving (can't do both). I'd guess park and ride to Clarendon Centre is probably 20 mins or so (depending on which park and ride, how long you have to wait for a bus - they go every 10 minutes or so I think, and what the traffic's like).

We all know what suejonez looks like; I'm shortish, with a chin length wavy brown bob. Probably wearing dark jeans (bought my first pair a couple of weeks ago - haven't been able to wear any since the 1980s!), green t-shirt. Will have DS (2) in a pushchair and DD(6) with me - both blonde.

flutterbee · 17/08/2006 21:29

Oh I'm all jealous now, I really want to meet you all, I'm just too far away.

I'm banning all talking about this meet so that you don't make me you must now talk to each other via e-mail or msn.

Hope you have a fab fab time.

Littlefish · 17/08/2006 22:47

I'm 5ft 9, shoulder length straight dark hair, brown eyes. I will have dd (21 months) in a navy blue pushchair.

suejonez · 18/08/2006 00:02

I'll be the tall fat one with the slightly panicky look on my face... closely follwoed by MrsJC and her little'un who is shorter and thinner with long reddish hair (MRS JC not JC jnr)

schneebly · 18/08/2006 00:07

Just wanted to say I hope you have a lovely time without me ! Seriously though - have a fab day! Maybe I will manage to travel down from Midgieland one of these times!

suejonez · 18/08/2006 00:08

we will ask for doggy bags and post them to all of you who can't make it

schneebly · 18/08/2006 00:09

Thanks sue!

coppertop · 18/08/2006 05:51

Congratulations on those results everyone!

Enjoy the meet-up.
