New thread for a new week.

Hi ladies,

Well I have stayed the same this week.

DH weighed me and when he told me I had a little strop and flung myself on the bed whinging about howe I had tried so hard this week and its not fair. DH then reminded me of my huge binge on Friday and that I had missed 3 evening walks and that I was being weighed a day early (had to do it last night as DH is working late today).

Anyway I felt better after he said all that, but then all morning he has gone on about how I can't expect to lose every week and not to get so worked up about it, he has made me feel all guilty because he is putting as much effort in as I am to help me (and hes a skinny malinky)

So I love my DH hes great.

Hope you have all had a good week, I've not emailed my weight as I think wwb is away this week.

WigWamBam · 23/08/2006 14:30

I'm here this week ... away next week. So email away!

Flutterbee, you have lost 15lb. So it's over three weeks now and not two - it's still 15lb. You should be celebrating it, not hurling yourself onto the bed in despair! You've done brilliantly, and when you're losing weight in the long-term you can't keep up the huge losses.

I asked someone to do this a few weeks ago, and I'm going to ask you to do it now. Go to the kitchen and take out some tins, or anything else heavy you have in the cupboard, and weigh them until you have 15lb. Put them in a bag, and hold them in your hand - feel how heavy they are. Walk around with them for a few minutes and feel what they weigh - what you have lost. If that doesn't make you feel proud and gobsmacked at the amount you've lost, nothing will.

No cop out Flutterbee, WWB is here this week. Off you go send your email.

WigWamBam · 23/08/2006 14:32

Just got your cat, whoopsie ... you can email me on [email protected] rather than catting.

oh flutterbee, that is so sweet about your dh! That is such a good idea of WWB's.Littlefish, i was reading a thread about who we are etc, i didn't realise you were in Kidderminster, I am in Wolverhampton. Just up the road. glad to hear you can cough in safety again!!! i have slightly cheered up because there is possible light at the end of the tunnel re the childminder thing.

Garlic bread with cheese mmmmmMM

JackieNo · 23/08/2006 15:12

Well just weighed, and I've put on a pound. Still, it's no more than I expected, which is something. If I'd expected to lose, I'd be really .

Littlefish - glad you're feeling better. Look on it as a detox. Flutterbee - you're still doing absolutely brilliantly, so don't beat yourself up - maybe your body needs time to get used to weighing less before it can feel 'safe' to lose some more (completely unscientific, but that's how I like to think about it). Justamum - hope you still have a lovely birthday and wedding anniversary. Whoopsfallenoveragain - I'm in awe of your willpower if you can go to Cadburyworld and not eat loads of chocolate. Good luck!

suejonez · 23/08/2006 15:12

happy jiggy dance

JackieNo · 23/08/2006 15:12

Have you lost then sue?

JackieNo · 23/08/2006 15:13

Ooh - or is it more news about the adoption???

suejonez · 23/08/2006 15:13

Sorry Jackie - thats not a happy jiggy dance because you've put on just unfortunate timing of post!

suejonez · 23/08/2006 15:13

its a happy jiggy weight loss dance

JackieNo · 23/08/2006 15:13

Yes - I took it that way, don't worry suejonez.

suejonez · 23/08/2006 15:14

very different to the happy jiggy adoption dance I've been doing all week.... see.... the arms are completely different.

JackieNo · 23/08/2006 15:15

Oh yes - and you're not using the cheerleader pompoms either

suejonez · 23/08/2006 15:16

no, I had to put them down my accounts clerk complained about the distraction as I sit opposite her.

JackieNo · 23/08/2006 15:16

. So... how much then. You're not going to keep us in suspense, are you?

suejonez · 23/08/2006 15:19

yup - just in case you all decide to lie to WWB and stop me getting the crown

suejonez · 23/08/2006 15:20

my mother thinks I'm competitive when I play bridge you know

suejonez · 23/08/2006 15:21

Can't think where she gets that idea from

JackieNo · 23/08/2006 15:21

No - she doesn't, does she? Can't imagine why. Go on - you've obviously done better than me.

suejonez · 23/08/2006 15:25

I'm waiting for the umpires decision (hopefully It won't be ball tampering), until then my lips are sealed.

JackieNo · 23/08/2006 15:29

Oh no, how frustrating. I may have to walk out on this thread in protest

WigWamBam · 23/08/2006 15:51

Whose balls have you been tampering with then, sue?

OP posts:
RenegadeFauve · 23/08/2006 15:53

Well, I won't be stealing your crown, Suejonez, although I'm very pleased to have lost 1lb since I last weighed. I've been on hols and managed to force myself to do made-up aqua aerobics exercises while the kids were using various swimming pools around the country - not all of them particularly clean pools, yuk. And I had to suffer very splashy 8 year old boys doggedly admiring my dd. These exertions must have compensated for lavish celebrations of my birthday last week (well, I am a Leo ). I hope you're having a fab birthday and anniversary, Justamum; and sorry to hear about your childminder .

Also glad to hear you had such a good time at the meet-up - I would love to come to the next one!

suejonez · 23/08/2006 16:02

my lips are sealed WWB

Fauve - losing 1lb whilst you're on holiday is preety damn good - better than i've ever managed!
