Erm ... more bubble-bursting here, but he's a friend of Dorothy, isn't he?

suejonez - your very own private aqua. Hope the weather's good enough for a swim or two.

justamum · 21/08/2006 13:30

flutterbee, once robbie sees me he will forget all thoughts of you. i will be so darn glamorous i will positively glitter (possibly in the manner of a large christmas tree) wigwam, come back here and defend youself woman! even if is one of dorothy's friends i will convert him back and make him monogamous (have you seen todays Sun?)!!! Hahaha hahaha hahaha

justamum · 21/08/2006 22:46

Now come along justamum, don't do that. Dust yourself off and we'll say no more about it.

Littlefish · 22/08/2006 16:05

I'm here too. Feeling v v v sorry for myself. Have a terrible tummybug. Luckily dd is with MIL today so I have just spent the day running backwards and forwards from the loo (sorry - tmi!). Really awful crampy tummy - enough to take my breath away.

Any suggestions? I'm trying to keep sipping water, but it doesn't stay in.

suejonez · 22/08/2006 17:08

OOOh I'm so , Littlefish, think of all the weight you will lose. How insensitive

Buscopan for the cramps, immodium for the diarhea (?), keep trying the water. If it lasts more than 48 hours go to GP as you probably have gastro enteritis and will need AB's.

If its food poisnong probably over in abot24 hours but sometimes it develops into a stomach infection (no acid in your stomach to protect against infections).

JackieNo · 22/08/2006 18:10

Ooh suejonez, insensitive it certainly is (my first thought was exactly the same, even before I read your post). Littlefish, how horrible for you - definitely keep trying the water. Hope you feel better soon.

Have a horrible feeling I'll have put on this week, but trying to be vaguely good (she says, looking at the glass of red wine next to her). We've got my mum staying this week, and that means nibbles before supper, wine before, during and after supper, and meals out here and there. Had a chinese takeaway last night, which can't have been good calorie-wise. I know what to eat if I'm having an Indian, but no idea if there's a less-calorific option when having a chinese.

MrsJohnCusack · 22/08/2006 18:15

well I've been fairly hopeless this week and am having a chinese tonight - at least it's tofu and veges.
just had my scan this afternoon and seen a little baby waving it's arms and legs around. Very relieved to see it again with my own eyes. Also exchanged on our flat today and booked our NZ flights yesterday. Woo-hoo! Now all I need to do is a find a home for the 2 remaining soon-to-be-homeless cats and I will be more or less on top of the game...
Littlefish, hope you feel better soon

MrsJohnCusack · 22/08/2006 18:16

seen? saw? wrote myself into a grammatical cul de sac there. You all know what I mean...

suejonez · 22/08/2006 18:21

we grammar police will let you off this once as we know you are excited.

I'm hoping to have lost weight this week as (apart from lunch on Friday when the other members of my posse led me astray) I've been pretty good and too nervous to over eat on the whole.

I would recommend travelling half way around the world to find a child to adopt as an aid to weight loss - it really works. Now how to market it....

(And I'm going to look like a pillock now if I haven't lost anything!)

justamum · 22/08/2006 22:20

hi, hope you are feeling better littlefish! i am in a bad mood, its my b-day and my wedding anniversary tomorrow and my childminder has just phoned to tell me she is putting her prices up by £100 per month when i go back to work in November. good timing eh! I feel like i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place as I was reducing my hours at work to accomodate the extra c-minding costs. now all my carefully planned figures are up the wall & I'm not sure we can afford it and i would be so pissed off at having to find someone new after paying 2/3 fees all throughout my maternity leave. This has nothing to do with dieting and i am going to put weight on this week as i am going out twice.
now i really need robbie to whisk me away, hopefully i'll win the lottery tomorrow then i can tell my cm and work to stuff it!

whoops, don't know what happened there, now you have my tale of woe twice!

suejonez · 22/08/2006 23:24

Go out and enjoy yourself - it's not the end of the world to put on weight for aweek particularly when its your anniversary.

Xavielli · 23/08/2006 00:31

Hey JackieNo, Yeah I am in Oxon... Banbury to be exact.

Sorry if I am not fat enough to be here, you are a lovely bunch! I have lost 1/2 a stone in the last 2 weeks on Paul McKenna, it is going well... 3stone to go.

whoopsfallenoveragain · 23/08/2006 06:10

WWB - I have just CAT you with my weight!

I have to put my willpower to a huge test today as we are off to Cadburys World!!!
I haven't had any chocolate for ages so am going to let myself have just a little bit although my fitness instructor wants me to bring a box of bargain chocolate back for her!!!

suejonez · 23/08/2006 10:02

I was only kidding Xavielli - isn't it nice to think that your weight is probably my interim TARGET weight [shock}. Anyone is welcome here. The point is to make it a safe place for people with serious amounts of weight to lose not because we are "fattist" (thats a bit like a facist only tubbier) but because those of us who are significantly overweight (in my case about 8 stone) have suffered in the past from feeling intimidated by skinny minnies maoning about the 7lb they have to shift.

It's a bit like going to AA because you overdo the Chardonnay occasionally. It's a different problem - not that people shouldn't lose weight for vanity sake but it doesn't mix well with those who have to do it in the long term for health reasons.

We are the AA of the food world!

My name is suejonez and I'm a foodaholic it's been 8 days since my last chocolate cheescakes

Littlefish · 23/08/2006 13:27

Hellooooooooo! Well, I'm feeling much better today. Must have just been a 24 hour thing (so only lost a pound or so )! I've even dared to cough (hee hee).

Xavielli - well done on your weight loss. Is the Paul McKenna easy to do?

SJ - now don't you go blaming us young lady! If I remember rightly, and I know I do, you were the one who suggested garlic bread with cheese - it was delicious

Justamum - so sorry your day is rubbish. If it makes you feel any better, my cm has also put her fees up from September - we will be truly broke.

suejonez · 23/08/2006 14:02

But Littlefish - I ordered it for the CHILDREN.
