New thread for a new week.

yes I thought she was very helpful too, and so sweet with her little brother. bet she's always an angel, eh jackie

JackieNo · 18/08/2006 17:45

Ah bless, MrsJC - I guess it was quite overwhelming for the little ones. DD not so overwhelmed, though, being that much bigger. She can be extremely helpful. I think maybe I tend to exploit that a bit sometimes.

JackieNo · 18/08/2006 17:48

Oh yes, suejonez, obviously she's always perfect. Actually I've got a note from here here that she wrote me when I refused to let her have an 'unhealthy' snack the other day - just offered her an apple - and it says (with a slightly medieval flavour in the spelling): 'To Mummy Why are you beying nistye' (nasty). We have our moments!

JackieNo · 18/08/2006 17:53

Oh blimey, and DS is in disgrace and has just come out of the corner because I just caught him sticking DD's umbrella into the video .

JackieNo · 18/08/2006 18:35

By the way, sue, did you see there was a thread for you?

Littlefish · 18/08/2006 19:30

I'm here!!!!! Dd slept in the car almost all the way home - she was exhausted. Hence the slightly wayward behaviour in the restaurant. Sorry about that.

It was so lovely to meet you all. Yes, we are all gorgeous and beautiful and talented and very chatty!

WWB - we missed you, and talked about you (could you feel your ears burning?)

I'm going to come and see you soon. I'll be in touch!

Littlefish · 18/08/2006 19:31

I can't believe I missed the singing!!!

WigWamBam · 18/08/2006 20:13

I thought my ears were burning ... I get paranoid when people say they've been talking about me!

On a completely different subject ... I'm away for a week from next weekend so won't be around a week on Tuesday to do the weights. What would people prefer to do - have a week off, or have someone else take the reins and do the weights? Whichever you'd feel most comfortable with - votes please ...

OMG I have let myself down so much, I have eaten twice as much as I should today. I don't know what happened I just felt like eating and the stupid thing was I felt guilty with every mouthful but didn't stop.

I'm hoping that because I am exersizing everyday I will be able to stay the same.

I am a total idiot

JackieNo · 18/08/2006 20:56

Oh flutterbee - don't beat yourself up about it (BigMoFos rule, doncha know). One day of eating more than you should is unlikely to make you put on weight - especially with all the exercise you're doing. Just start again tomorrow with a clean slate. I think we've all experienced the same thing - especially when we're doing well - something in us seems to want to sabotage things. But it is just one day, and you've been doing incredibly well.

WigWamBam · 18/08/2006 21:06

Oh Flutterbee ... don't beat yourself up about it! (And Jackie's right - that's one of the MoFo Rules). You've done so well - one day off the diet isn't going to hurt. Don't get too hung up about it, all you can do now is put it behind you and get back on tomorrow.

We're all human; we've all done it. There is nothing to be ashamed of.

OP posts:
suejonez · 18/08/2006 21:34

Flutterbee, I will be very if you get with yourself becasue you have done so so far that I'm .

Pace yourself, girl, you're not perfect and you will slip up from time to time.

There now, consider yourself told.

suejonez · 18/08/2006 21:34

Thanks Jackie - hadn;t noticed that one will rush over and report. A whole thread all about little old me

Littlefish · 18/08/2006 21:35

Please don't feel bad Flutterbee. We've all done it. You're doing incredibly well and I'm sure you will be able to put it behind you and start again tomorrow.

Littlefish · 18/08/2006 21:37

WWB - don't worry, we were only saying nice things! We were just saying that we were sorry you weren't there today because we all wanted to meet you.

There, do you feel better now?

suejonez · 18/08/2006 21:38

I can do weight losses post if everyone wants to email me

suejonez at aol dot com

WigWamBam · 18/08/2006 22:02

I'm OK for next Tuesday, Sue, but if you could do the week after that would be good.

suejonez · 18/08/2006 22:03

Yup (obviously didn't read that right!) just remind me before you go... memory like a fish at the moment

flutterbee · 18/08/2006 23:13

Thanks you lot I am feeling better now, it was a stupid thing to do but so damn easy as you all know.

I told dh as soon as he came in so that i'm not hiding anything and that lifted my pirits a bit and then I saw what you lot had written.

OK I'm off to lie in bed and watch a bit of telly, speak to you all soon, glad you all had a good meet up today.

Thanks again

justamum · 18/08/2006 23:28

hi, glad you all had a lovely day, i was thinking of you as i was dragging an overtired toddler and a teething baby round asda today.
i have a question for you, can scales get progressively more inaccurate as they are weighing heavier weights? My new scales weighed me about a stone heavier than i thought i was and dh about a stone and a half, however, i put ds on them and it seemed about right (2st 5lb bless)
we are both ready to accept it could just be right and that we are just fatter than we thought!
i have also got to concede that I have no willpower and cannot buy biscuits any more as i am not to be trusted. i had good intentions of making 1 pack of jaffa cakes last all week, should have known i can't just have one.
repeat "my name is justamum and i am a foodaholic"

suejonez · 19/08/2006 09:40

I can't have certain things in the house as I just eat them until they're gone. You have to buy snack packs of things, share tehm out and once they're gone thats it - one portion each.

WigWamBam · 19/08/2006 12:01

Justamum - according to dh, it would depend on the weight the scales were calibrated to. They will be more accurate around that weight, and will tend to be further out the heavier you go. The higher the scales are set to weigh, the higher weight they will be calibrated at, so the more chance of them being accurate at a heavier weight.

When I was doing a weekly class, the leader had her scales recalibrated - she had previously had them calibrated to 15 stone, but this time they were done to 10 stone. She warned everyone that they might show 1 or 2lb higher than they had previously - and most people did. When I (heaviest person in the class by a long shot) got on them, they showed 10lb higher than they had before - simply because she'd calibrated them to a lower weight. So yes, it can make a big difference when you're heavy.

Try weighing yourself on the electronic scales they have in Boots - they are likely to be more accurate than your scales at home.

Hey are we four who met now officially a clique? It's just occured to me.

Don't mean to rub it in for the non-cliquers...

WigWamBam · 19/08/2006 14:09

Yes, you're a clique. Keep rubbing, why don't you

OP posts:
JackieNo · 19/08/2006 14:23

Ooh - I've never been in a clique before.
