Hi, can I join you? have approx 1 stone to lose.

I lost about 1 & half stone before xmas by healthy eating & upping my exercise, am 5ft 6, went from 12 stone to 10st 7, target 10 stone.

A few pounds have crept on over xmas, so I'm now about 10st 10.

Need to get back on track.

mummypower123 · 29/01/2014 20:41

you have done well to lose 9lb already!

Can I ask how much exercise per week you are all doing? I've been doing a mix of davina fit in 15 and 30 day shred but done nothing tonight and I'm beating myself up about it. Anyone exercising everyday?

MrsPMT · 30/01/2014 11:29

Thanks mp123

Tiredemma, no I don't exercise everyday but do an hours fast/quite strenuous/hilly walk most days.

I think its definitely helping, over xmas I was ill a lot and couldn't get out walking so much, put on a few pounds, although the extra food would have probably done that anyway, healthy eating goes out the window a bit then Grin

My vice is wine, really need to cut down, probably lose weight much easier if I did.

twobambinos · 30/01/2014 15:15

I didn't get a chance to weigh this morning so will weight tomorrow and update then. Had a great day food wise yesterday plenty of water and no junk at all but today I have indulged a little.

I do two exercise classes per week and I try to run as much as I can but with two small kids to get looked after while I run its sometimes hard to get out maybe averages about 15km a week. And then I do a bit of idle walking with the kids in pushchair. But I wouldn't be sweating. I take it easy on the exercise if I can't jump straight in the shower.

mummypower123 · 30/01/2014 19:03

I walk about 30 mins 6 times a week and then either my exercise bike 30 mins and a swim once a week for maybe an hour. It hard to fit much more in with a little one, but im on my feet with him most of day lol

Morning all. Monday morning weigh in - no change.

Not surprising really as I had a bit of a troffy weekend with birthdays and things. But I did do a couple of sessions on the treadmill which has motivated me to get running again.

MrsPMT · 05/02/2014 10:01

My scales look like I'm about 10st 9 today so thats good, slow progress but the right direction.

Have also had an indulgent weekend, need to have a few 'healthy' days before next weekend, no alcohol, no take-aways Grin

Tiredemma · 05/02/2014 10:27

Hi all- another lb off this week so thats 6lb since 6th Jan- not a huge amount but I remind myself that the less rapid it comes off, the more chance I have of keeping it off.

Im still doing Shred and Davina but havent taken any body measurements yet. My mirror tells me that something is working.

Smile
MrsPMT · 05/02/2014 11:26

TiredEmma find something that weighs 6lb (bag of flour/potatoes) and you'll be chuffed at how much it is.

I did that when I'd only lost 2lbs at the beginning and thought it was nothing.

Smile its nice to look in the mirror & see the changes, my clothes are getting big on me too, which I am very pleased about.

pegster · 05/02/2014 18:42

Put a 1 lb back on this week after 4 days away visiting my Dad & DSM - no real exercise & too much food & alcohol. Going to give 16:8 fasting a go for a couple of weeks & see if that kick starts things - anybody tried it?

twobambinos · 06/02/2014 14:09

Pegster haven't heard of that diet must Google it

I'm down 1.5 pounds over the last two wreeks very slow but will get there. I think I'm going to aim for 6 more pounds and that will be it then lowest I can ever remember being.

Making a very conscious effort to stay away from junk food and up the water here is hoping :)

Keep up the good work everyone

mummypower123 · 07/02/2014 19:33

Ive been rather active this week but eaten more!
my weight has not changed this week, i think i need to put more effort with food this week. i wont have any alcohol this weekend like i normally do i find i eat more junk food when drinking

Monday morning weigh in - I've lost 2lb! A good week and a really good (dull) weekend with no treats & lots of running.
I know I've got a long way to go but feel a bit more positive and determined today.
And my dh said this morning that I look lovely! Hurray!

nilbyname · 10/02/2014 08:34

I'm stuck on 9stone, I just can't seem to loose that last half stone and it's all on my upper arms and tummy, so I look really meaty and squat. I'm 5'3.

My dh and I have been eating well and not drinking through the week, and only on special occasions. But this has lead to some binge drinking!

I have hurt my foot and knee so exercise is a bit elusive too!

Sob!

Tiredemma · 10/02/2014 08:48

Im not going to weigh myself until weds today ( I like to weigh myself on the same 'boots' scales for consistency but I am not going into Town until Weds.

Body shape appears 'leaner' but I dont feel 'lighter' if that makes sense?

Behindthecandelabra · 10/02/2014 11:59

I know what you mean tiredemma. If you're doing Shred & Davina then you're prob tightening things up. That's what I need actually, a bit of toning. I'll get to that once I'm another 7 lb lighter I think.

Ambitious, I know!

Katnisscupcake · 10/02/2014 12:12

Hi there,

Can I join you? I started dieting (Slimming World - loosely...) the second week in January.

I'm 5ft 8, started at 11st 3. So far I've lost 9lbs and so I'm now 10st 8.

Ideally I'd like to get to 10st, although 9st 7lbs would be preferable...

I tend to weigh-in on a Friday (at home) and then relax Friday, Saturday and Sunday but then hit Slimming World hard again Monday-Thursday. For me, I've found that I lose more weight when I relax at the weekend, I think because I probably reduce my food intake too much for the rest of the week.

So far I've haven't had a week where I haven't lost, but I am losing slowly and consistently. 4lbs first week, then 1lb a week up until this week when I lost 2lbs.

It's my 40th in June and my goal is to be a comfortable size 12 by then. Currently a 14.

There are a group of women who come around to mine on a Friday evening as a sort of 'support group' as we're all doing different diets. It's fab!! Grin

Can I join too? Have had 7lbs to lose post Christmas which suddenly has become 12. Need some help as am rapidly going in the wrong direction. 11'7 thisorning prompting need to join up. Am 5'9 (and a leetle bit) and can't fit into my trousers.

pegster · 12/02/2014 09:48

Wednesday weigh-in here, lost the 1lb I regained but only 4lb total in 6 weeks - not great. I've lost an inch from my waist though & stomach looking a bit flatter which is positive. Only 5 weeks til our holiday, no chance of another 8lb by then Sad

Tiredemma · 12/02/2014 10:17

weigh in wednesday here too!

will update later!

showerhead · 13/02/2014 23:18

can i join? Post relationship break up, and although i'm better off without the bastard being single is taking time to get used to and I am at a loss in the evenings for what to do and so far have been using that time to eat far too much. Tomorrow i join the gym to help me get back on track and give me something else to do in the long evenings. I want to lose around a stone.

Tiredemma · 14/02/2014 08:34

Forgot to update. Weighed wednesday- lost another 2lb.

Thats 8lb since Jan 6th.

Very pleased ( naught- but I celebrated by having a bag of chips on the night- they tasted SOOOOO good)

pegster · 14/02/2014 14:53

Well done tiredemma - 8lb is brilliant
