Well my first day back on WW Discovery Plan for the first time in years. Twenty points so far of my 22, will try and keep them to carry over. Made lovely spag bol from scratch but had forgotten how high points the beef mince is. For lower point / fasting type days I will stick to chicken rather than beef or maybe go for Quorn mince.

TimeToPassGo · 06/01/2014 20:04

Having a skinny decaf latte now as my treat :)

Mosschops30 · 06/01/2014 20:22

I made a quorn mince lasagne tonight it was lovely and the kids didn't notice Grin

Tiredemma · 06/01/2014 20:26

Hello- have more than a stone to lose actually (more like 1st 9lbs).

I have eat healthy all day and done exercise (30 day abs challenge this morning and 30 day shred this pm)

If I dont see some fit body staring back at me in a few weeks ill go beserk.

pegster · 06/01/2014 20:47

Have had a good day with the eating (no exercise but have at least found the davina DVD and put it by the tv for tomorrow!). There is the last of the toffee pecan popcorn calling me from the kitchen though - not sure I can resist and at least if I eat it now it's gone from the house

Biltongmuncher · 06/01/2014 22:56

Bloody awful day of eating! Just seemed to graze all afternoon as home with dc and a bit bored!! Going to do fast day tomorrow to try get back on track.

My biggest trigger for snacking and eating is boredom; can anyone else pinpoint why/how/when they eat the wrong food?

Hoolit · 06/01/2014 23:12

Can't believe its only 6 days in!!
I'm still up for it and have managed not to snack between meals or pick whilst watching tv. Although taking muttly out took a bit of self persuasion as the wind is howling, I even managed my ab exercises although I do think I cut my session a bit short!
I bloody hope this time I lose something as the last time I cut out snacks and drink I put on 3lbs !

Morning all, being given a boost on my weight loss here by a bug that the whole family has picked up from somewhere. Sunday night everyone except me spent the night vomiting, so no back to work/school for any of them. I just felt a bit off so didn't eat a lot. Today I have terrible diarrhea so have just had lots of cups of tea so far and a banana. I am hoping a couple of days of this will shrink my stomach and purge me of the desire for chocolate which consumed me over Christmas.

Downside was I didn't feel well enough to start back at yoga last night so will have to wait till next week, and the school run was off so no exercise at all so far. Tomorrow hopefully....

Dollydishus · 07/01/2014 09:52

Oh dear busyboysmum, hope you feel better soon. I did ok yesterday..stayed within my calories and didn't snaffle up leftovers on the DCs' plates which is one of my weaknesses...scraped it all straight in the bin.

Porridge for breakfast. Was going to run by rain is throwing it down...maybe do some sit ups etc instead.

TimeToPassGo · 07/01/2014 11:10

Poor busy it is rubbish - had the same monster bug last week. I did lose a lot of weight - but then had a two day feeding frenzy to make up for it Blush Back on the wagon now.

So far this morning I have eaten an omelette and toast plus coffee with milk (total 5). I've also made 0 point soup for lunch ( a broccoli one someone posted on the WW board). I'll be honest, it looks a bit disgusting but I'm hoping for the best! :o Dinner tonight is chicken stir fry so much lower point than Bolognese last night. Going to have it with lots of brown rice. I'd like to carry a few points over so I have them for later in the week.

Have to say that although the 5:2 diet wasn't working for me on its own (because I need to relearn what 'normal' healthy eating / portion size looks like) it has been really helpful with renormalizing hunger. I got quite hungry in the afternoon yesterday and in the past would have eaten something. Instead I just let it fade away and waited for my dinner.

Cakeismymaster · 07/01/2014 14:11

Day 2 for me and so hungry! Today had coffee and 1x toast and marmalade at breakfast and then cheese cubes and cup of tea for lunch. Dinner is prawn stir fry, Pepsi max allowance, small treat after.
It's the evenings that are hardest for me as once kids are in bed I just find myself thinking hmm what shall I have!

Middleagedmotheroftwo · 07/01/2014 14:50

Had a bad start when I gained a pound in the first 48 hours, but that's back off now, and yesterday and today have been good.

I'm calorie counting - 1200 cals yesterday, and 550 so far today (14:49). Its the evenings that I struggle with though - can't resist something sweet after my evening meal.

Middleagedmotheroftwo · 07/01/2014 14:50

I also did 30 mins on my trampette in front of the TV last night boast Smile

Cakeismymaster · 07/01/2014 14:56

Well this is interesting... My fitness pal tells me that carrying round a 15lb infant for 30 mins burns 119 calories! Bonus!

busyboysmum · 07/01/2014 15:31

OK so my friend has recommended this tea which she says helped her in her weight loss:

pu-ehr tea

I've been drinking it whenever I feel hungry, it says you need 3 months to build up the best health benefits and I don't find it bad tasting. Plus I thought it would be a good way to up my water consumption.

TimeToPassGo · 07/01/2014 15:40

Cake I'm like you - I struggle with the evening munchies! Found it really hard not to eat last night, especially because we will have Christmas goodies in but had my skinny latte as a treat.

mummypower123 · 07/01/2014 19:38

Im the same sitting here now hungry son in bed, i have had my calorie limit had an hours walk again and did some weights. I do hope ive lost something by thursday!

Another skinny decaff latte here. Does seem to take the edge off the cravings!

Hoolit · 07/01/2014 23:11

Yay had a sneaky weigh as I was feeling light hungry and appear to have lost a few pounds, came straight up to bed did my exercises and ate a bloody cream egg dm bought me flaming sabotage! !! So cross with myself as I've managed fine with no rubbish whatsoever all bloody week and it didn't even taste that great Sad

TimeToPassGo · 07/01/2014 23:20

You know it really does make you realise how habitual eating is. I cope fine all day but come the evening I really do just want to go and raid the cupboards and hoover up all the leftover Christmas shortbread etc! This is why 5:2 wasn't working for me - because on my NFDs I just ate whatever I felt like in the evenings. Hopefully if I can break the habit now I can move to 5:2 in time.

Hoolit we've all been there - don't use this as an excuse to give up or have a greedy day tomorrow. That is the good thing about the 5:2 mentality - you can always have a better day tomorrow. (And anyway on the old WW points a cream egg wasn't that bad really!)

SweepTheHalls · 08/01/2014 07:22

Right 1week in, 1pound down

TimeToPassGo · 08/01/2014 09:20

Started on Mon morning and just did my WI - 4lbs down! Probably the first week water loss but always a boost. Need it tbh - went to bed far too late last night and am shattered this morning. Usually this sends me running for the snacks.

TimeToPassGo · 08/01/2014 09:20

Well done Sweep! Sorry I am half asleep Confused

Middleagedmotheroftwo · 08/01/2014 09:51

I was starving last night, after leek and sweet potato soup for dinner. Went to bed about 10 to avoid tempation of eating anything else. I appear to be 1lb lighter than I was yesterday :)
Weigh in is tomorrow, but I'm giving blood later today, so that should help, surelyWink

TimeToPassGo · 08/01/2014 10:30

Ha! Don't give away too much Mother Wink
