2013 Weight Watchers over here!

The previous thread title and OP wad intended for information only, but as a few people arrived wanting a bit of mutual support, I thought a more specific thread title might be in order, esp if there's anyone else wanting to join in. I think the cashback deal on online membership expires now, anyway.

Can you introduce yourselves with a quick summary of your aims, please?

I'll be doing Weight Watchers online only. DS is nearly 10 weeks and I'm BFing, so I get 40PPs a day, plus the weeklies. I'm not sure how easily the weight will come off with that amount, but can't cut down any further yet.

I have 3 1/2 st to lose altogether. I'm currently 12st 7lb and was 10st pre-DC after previous success with WW. I'd like to go a bit further this time.

My short term goal is to be a bit slimmer for a family wedding next month. Unfortunately I'm the gat cousin and need any extra confidence I can get.

My WI is Thursday. So far, so good. I'm snacking but sticking to my PPs + weeklies. Struggling to get much exercise due to two poorly DCs, but hoping to find time for a DVD today.

Hi all. I rejoined a class on Saturday and weighed in at 14st 3.5lbs. Goal is 9 as a half stone so a long way to go, but determined to do it this time. Currently got the cold from hell so struggling, but reminding myself that overeating won't cure it. Have stuck to points so far. No exercise but I'm really not bothered just want to get well SadSad

My favorite easy salmon meal is just grilled fillets with couscous and ratatouille. Diet friendly too!

I'm going to be dull and do a jacket potato, grill it and serve it with salad. Or, tthinking some more about this, I could do it as a sort of Salmon Salad Nicoise with Pizza Express Light Caesar Dressing....

Hi Smile. After loosing 1st last year I've managed to pile most of it back on. I want to rejoin now so I don't have to pay the sign up fee. Does anyone know how I do this? Do I just sign back in with my old user name etc. it's been less than 6 months.......

SallyBear · 07/01/2013 18:46

Mucker, no idea! I suspect they're wise to it, and there is some small print that you agreed to back then. Could you just use a different email address, and user name to see if that works?

Buttercrumble, I know exactly what you mean, though I'm 43. It's a bit shite when you realise how bad it's gotten, but you've started now as have I. We will all support each other in our goals Smile

Apparently if I join before 6 months is up they waive the sign up fee. Just wondered how I went about it Smile

I joined WW online last Tuesday (New Years Day.) So my first weigh in tomorrow morning. I have stuck to it religiously and done a bit of exercise. So hopefully I will have lost.

I weighed in last week at 14 st 2lbs Blush I'm determined to get down to 11st 7 by April. I have done it before so I WILL do it again.

Well, I survived my day out with DD with a visit to the cinema to see the new Tinkerbell movie and lunch at Pizza Express. By opting for one of the leggara pizzas and being careful the rest of the day, I managed to need only 3 of my weeklies. Feeling slightly under the weather with a hacking cough but managed to persuade myself to do the Ripped in 30 workout. I think my motivation was trying some clothes on this afternoon in the sales and feeling pretty depressed when I saw just how out of shape I am just now. Still, there is only one way to make this situation better and that is to work hard now and stick to the plan.

Helloo ladies (and any gents on here Smile) My class started back tonight and not surprisingly it was very busy - Unbeknowns to me the area manager was helping out - that was the woman who I rather brusquely demanded some change from because I couldn't get my normal free parking a spot then Blush Was mortified when I realised!

Managed to jump on the scales between signing up new members and was relieved to find my total Christmas gain was only 2.5lbs - which .5lbs above the goal weight I am supposed to be maintaining. Didn't get much time to listen to meeting as srting out admin and have just got home, so going to read all the new stuff whilst waiting for dinner to arrive - I could eat my own leg right now!!! (and no its not being pointed right now....Wink)

Will have to plan something in the slow cooker for the next couple of months on a Monday night methinks, if I am getting back this late!

Hello, may I join you please?

I'm off to my first ever meeting tomorrow morning.

I am very scared about the weigh in as I have been in a lot of denial about my weight and am now having to face up to the ugly truth of what I actually weigh. I feel thoroughly ashamed of myself but relieved that I'm at least taking some action, finally.

May I join in ?

I lost a stone with ww last year and then stopped tracking during the summer.... I didn't gain but I didn't lose either and I'm not at goal yet.

And then I put half a stone on before Xmas (why wait for the quality street?). But only half a pound over Xmas. So 10-8 and want to be 9-12 or so.

What I need is new ideas and recipes... I'm bored and when I'm bored I eat chocolate ...

Hi Magdalen and didireallysaythat.

Are you aware there's a recipe section on the WW website? Also I've ordered the,Hairy Bikers book.

Hi, I'll come and join you.

I joined WW online last Monday (NYE) but immediately had a bit of a wobble with a family birthday on Tuesday and Christmas chocolates all week while on school holiday. I did manage to lose 1lb though so it can't have been as bad as I thought.

The foods on the tracker seem a bit limited, how can I find points values of things like chinese takeaway? I looked but I could only find ready meals, etc but our takeaway portions are rather larger than a ready meal. Or what about things like cakes which are homemade but not by me so I don't know the recipe to be able to work out points? How do I track those? I had 2 crispie cakes today, brought in by a colleague at work but have no idea of the points value of them so they should be free?

Hello, I am starting Weight Watchers tomorrow! I want to lose about 1/1.5 stone. I got to goal in 2011 for my wedding, but then had my little boy 3.5 months ago. I am ebf. I am looking forward to starting, I'm feeling rubbish from eating too much sugar!

I'm not planning on doing any formal exercising, just walking with the pram.

I don't have a specific goal this time which might make it harder, although I am starting Water Babies with little man in Feb so that should be enough!!

MrsNPattz you could always strap on some weights to your ankles for when you're walking with the pram. You'd be amazed at how that helps. I had a friend who lost 60lbs be doing WW and walking everyday wearing weights. I joke and tell her she walked her butt off!

School I think the point is that you don't eat Chinese takeaway or home made cakesWink It's all about making lifestyle change and correct choices. I know chocolate made me eat so it follows that if I don't want to be fat,I need to cut gtmtt or at least seriously limit it.
However if you use the search function there is an article on eating out. Hope that helps.
