2013 Weight Watchers over here!

The previous thread title and OP wad intended for information only, but as a few people arrived wanting a bit of mutual support, I thought a more specific thread title might be in order, esp if there's anyone else wanting to join in. I think the cashback deal on online membership expires now, anyway.

Can you introduce yourselves with a quick summary of your aims, please?

I'll be doing Weight Watchers online only. DS is nearly 10 weeks and I'm BFing, so I get 40PPs a day, plus the weeklies. I'm not sure how easily the weight will come off with that amount, but can't cut down any further yet.

I have 3 1/2 st to lose altogether. I'm currently 12st 7lb and was 10st pre-DC after previous success with WW. I'd like to go a bit further this time.

My short term goal is to be a bit slimmer for a family wedding next month. Unfortunately I'm the gat cousin and need any extra confidence I can get.

My WI is Thursday. So far, so good. I'm snacking but sticking to my PPs + weeklies. Struggling to get much exercise due to two poorly DCs, but hoping to find time for a DVD today.

Hi

I would like to lose about a stone so I have just signed up for WW.

I paid through PayPal. BUT I can't access it on my iPad as it says I need flash player. So I downloaded the app BUT I can't work out how to use it.

I feel I have wasted £30 so have opened wine and chocolates Angry

Please can anyone help me?

Thanks
Yes I've signed into the app.
Where do I find out what my target weight is?
I have tried adding things I've eaten but am even struggling with that Hmm

From the home page click the 3 horizontal lines to go to the menu. Then go to weight tracker and it should show your goal weight.
To track just enter words to search by, or use the calculator. Then select portion size and add it to the diary.

I thought when you joined you could tick to say if you are expecting or breast feeding

You can, but if you do it online it will then tell you that WW isn't for you at this time (preg, not BFing).

Morning, how are we all today? I managed to shift my arse out of bed at 7, which is quite good for me seeing as I'm a lazy student. Off to the library shortly, going to walk there, it's only about 15 minutes away but it's all uphill and leaves me breathless and sweaty about half way up Blush But I need to start doing it as taking the train 2 stops always makes me feel stupid Grin And it's good exercise of course!

Just had porridge with golden syrup, oh it was good! All within points, this is why I'm glad I decided to do WW and not something like Slimfast, which I have tried (briefly) before!

Have a good day everyone Smile

Have a good day Metro! Kids back to school so getting my area in gear is a rude awakening!!!
Don't forget that with a 15 minute walk up hill earns you 2 activity points which you add on to your weeklies. Smile

Ouch! Weighed myself. Not good! Not surprising but not good!

15 stone 5. Blush

Onwards and downwards. Am spending time this morning menu planning for the week and will be stocking up on the healthy stuff I need. Need to get exercising too. I go to a toning place so need to book myself in for this week and walk there and back - 40 mins walking in total. Find it hard to do that in the winter though!

I don't usually use my activity points but think I may need to this week!

Just had a bowl of granola for breakfast with some added nuts and pumpkin seeds. Will be snacking on apples and satsumas. May make a pot of soup for lunch.

I had a toasted crumpet with chopped banana for breakfast. Taking the kids to McD's for lunch as we have an audiology appt. That should be fun trying to eat without the points....
I think I'll look on their website and see if I can get a salad or a sub made to order.

I'm unable to exercise today unless DS has a good sleep later. I've planned all my food in advance though, which works much better for me than totting them up as I go along.

Hello all. I've started well with a fruit and yoghurt breakfast and a good walk this morning. Car being in the garage gave me the necessary kick up the arse!

Hi all

I joined WW may 2011 and have been a member since. I hit 9st lost in june but then had a big life change. moved away and have hit a plateau. Losing 2 lbs one week gaining them back the week after etc. Then the week before christmas i had an epically bad week that went something along the lines of :
Monday- broke tooth on ww cereal bar-do NOT refridgerate them with the rest of your packed lunch
Tuesday- found out great-aunt had passed away
Thursday am- letter arrived telling me i as no longer needed at work and my contract was being terminated
Thursday pm- crashed car on way to work

At that point i drowned myself in vodka and chocolate and it continued through the xmas period. I dread to think how much ive gained but i cant get back to my ww class until next wednesday. However the children go back to school this week so as of tomorrow i will be tracking again.

givemeaclue my favourite ww recipe is this

Crush some garlic and chop a bit of chilli

fry in frylight with some sliced courgette and mushrooms

add some king prawns and fry gently (iirc 100g=2pp)

then get 100g philadelphia extra light (3pp) and mix with a splash of milk to make it saucier(is that a word??) then stir through the prawn mixture.

I serve this with tagliatelle and green beans and sometimes swap prawns for chicken

Only day 1 but so far so good. Food all planned, 3 pieces of fruit eaten and a lunchtime run done (2.25 miles in 23.07 which gave me 2 extra points)

I wish satsuma's tasted like Dairy Milk Wink

Oh well done vajazzler! That is amazing. Sorry to hear about your week from hell though.

I am feeling incredibly crappy today. Just can't motivate myself to do any work, so I've been moping around since about 1 on the verge of tears because I know that if I don't work, I won't pass and therefore won't graduate! Ugh. My problems right now are minuscule compared to some I know Sad Had 4 custard creams with tea to try and cheer me up/push me towards the right frame of mind but it didn't do it.

Having spaghetti bolognese for dinner, DP made a massive batch and froze loads of portions last week so at least it's hassle free to make, really not in the mood for cooking right now!

Ok, have decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and get the Wii Fit board out. Much more positive than scoffing biscuits and crying Grin

Report
SallyBear · 07/01/2013 17:31

Ahh the Wii fit board. I will get that out tomorrow. What a great idea! I've just spent a large chunk of the day driving, so I'm looking at the salmon fillets thinking how can I sex these up.

Report
onthemetro · 07/01/2013 17:44

I used to go on the wii fit every morning before work, at 6am Shock No idea how I managed that because I struggle to even get out of bed at 9 these days.

Ooh, salmon! I love salmon but DP doesn't so we rarely have it. A honey & soy sauce glaze or good old olive oil and lemon would be my choice drools

Hello ladies,

I have been flirting with joining a group for months. If I post here now I've got to. Ive no idea what I weigh but I do know that I don't fit in any of my pre-pregnancy clothes and there is a big hulking 8 month old sitting next to me. I'll add my stats on Thursday.
