Here is the new, shiny thread. Only three weeks or so to go until we swing into really strict mode!

Morning all (bloss here).

Having felt like HELL ON EARTh yesterday, I went to be and was asleep by 9. DCs were asleep by 6.30pm.

We all overslept this morning.

Got back from school run to find the box with the beans from the exploded bean bag had exploded again all the driveway. So me, in the torrential rain, scooping up a billion beans with a dustpan and brush. Arghh! At least i wasn't still hungover.

Didn't have time to weigh this morning which is probably no bad thing. Wanted to do run today but my back is hurting Sad

Breakfast was 3 chicken drumsticks.

NigellasGuest · 24/09/2012 11:16

Hi Bloss/Dosh - poor old scooping up the beanbag innards! The things we have to do!

Is there a weigh in thread/link? I havent' recorded anything on a spreadsheet for a while so not sure what's happening....

GoldenOrangeWhippoorwhill · 24/09/2012 11:36

Urgh, bean bag beans are the most horrible thing ever. They must be even worse in the rain. You poor thing.

Bought a battery for the scales and was amazed to find I was a pound down! Now 11 stone 2 lbs. :) After a few days of clean eating my husband has dropped 5 lbs. Just goes to show how much water retention you get when eating a lot of processed food, even if it is low carb.

On the down side I have now caught his cold and am sitting wrapped in a blanket, drinking tea and snotting everywhere. Blegh.

Son is apparently enjoying Uni. Posted on the dreaded Facebook that he can't remember much about last night but there is a shopping trolley in their hallway. I think he's going to be ok! Grin

Doshusallie · 24/09/2012 11:44

Golden - beans plus rain plus a bad back - you get the picture. It was total carnage. They kept sticking to the outside of the bag, the dustpan, omigod - I wish I'd taken a picture of it now.

Glad DS is ok! Oh UNI days, that takes me back. Grin

vnmum · 24/09/2012 12:14

BIWI the paleo solution doesn't really give any quantities, just says meals should be made of protein, veggies and fat but mentions that meat should be lean cuts and fat should come from olive oil. No dairy including butter!

vnmum · 24/09/2012 12:18

Oh, forgot to weigh this morning. TOM arrived yesterday and was heavier than usual so felt quite drained this morning and just went back to bed after school run. Will weigh tomorrow.

halfthesize · 24/09/2012 12:34

Thanks BIWI will get him to just start trying it..

Had a great work out at the gym and just had lunch - Gammon and egg.
Skipped Breakfast.

I'm going to have to do the LBD spreadsheet on my own I think, as FiddledeFat seems to have disappeared!

OP posts:
Doshusallie · 24/09/2012 13:52

halfthesize - I had porridge for brekkie for a long time - i was heavier than now but I think that was more down to the nuts chocolate and wine Blush I think he would be fine with porridge. Dh has muesli for brekkie and low carb most of the rest of the time and he has lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks.

Lunch was two chicken thighs with suede mashed with cream and butter. please tell me suede is ok.....?

BIWI · 24/09/2012 14:05

Swede is indeed OK! And beautiful with butter and black pepper

OP posts:
Doshusallie · 24/09/2012 14:06

it was lush. Grin

Doshusallie · 24/09/2012 14:24

OMG I have just realied that I have said I have had leather for my lunch. Mashed with cream and butter. What a dick. Yes BIWI - swede, not suede. Grin Blush

WillieWaggledagger · 24/09/2012 14:26

BIWI i've been having a fiddle with the spreadsheet, and think i might almost have it set up for LBD - i think you've emailed me in the past with the veg list so i can email it to you to check it's how you want it?

SingingTunelessly · 24/09/2012 14:54

I did a double take at the suede for lunch! Grin

BIWI, could you put up your list of veg carb counts please?

queribus · 24/09/2012 15:11

Struggling today for some reason. Maybe it's the weather.

So far today:

L - baked salmon and salad

Dinner will be roast chicken with lots of veg.

EwanHoozami · 24/09/2012 16:48

Hello campers!

I got down to 11st 4 and looked quite reasonable in my LBD at my aforementioned Very Glam Event.

I drank too much vino collapso and felt like shit for two days and am now back up to 11st 8lb Blush

hell, it was worth it Grin

Not much low carb stuff in the house, might have to do something creative with frozen prawn until the delivery arrives tomorrow.

I'll be back on message and off the sauce for LBDBC, promise!

Also happy to help with spreadsheet if any is needed. Do shout, I'm a bit of a geek.

TellMeLater · 24/09/2012 16:59

BIWI I have cauliflower down as having 5g/100g - whose right your data or mine....- i hope it's you, it's quite a big difference, don't you think?

TellMeLater · 24/09/2012 17:07

Rose Elliot has plumped for the following values

3.3g cauliflower
4g for broccoli
Leeks she has given a massive 12.4g/100g
6.2g aubergine

It's all very confusing. Confused

TellMeLater · 24/09/2012 17:10

And tomatoes are only 3.1g - I thought they were borderline no no. Confused

PrincessSparkle86 · 24/09/2012 17:14

Evening Smile

Lunch was 3 slices if thin ham and a couple o pieces of cheese.
Dinner is: turkey breast roast with carrots, savoy cabbage and butternut squash mashed with a bit if utterly butterly... Cooking as i write Grin yum!!
