firststar - don't lose heart so soon. Remember that life will always get in the way of a too-strict diet plan. You want a glass of wine? Have one a night. If you want biscuits - have a couple and factor them into the calorie count for the day. Get organised with your meals and plan for the week so you don't eat the wrong things because of lack of time or being bothered.

I have had a disastrous (eating-wise) weekend - out for picnic on Saturday, Sunday did a boot fair and took cakes for sustenance and today is my son's 5th birthday and we had lots of party food and cake.

BUT tomorrow I will be back on track. You can balance "bad" days with "good" days IYSWIM. Don't feel like you failed because you pigged out on fish and chips one Friday night or had a bottle of wine. Just draw a line under it and keep going.

Right lilibet? Come on, we need all the help we can get so lets encourage each other. (I should work for Rosemary!!)

Can I come on here for some encouragement too please? I joined RC on Sat, I actually cried when I stepped on the scales because since having ds in Feb I have PUT ON a stone!!! - How did that happen .

Anyway, after many many tears all the way home I have decided to pull myself together and actually make this work after many failed WW/Slimfast/healthy eating attempts.

On a brighter note I have already lost 2lbs in just 3dys and am actually looking forward to continuing and getting on those scales on sat. Unfortunately though it will be AF week so I must make sure I don't get disheartened if it appears I haven't lost much.

Smee - I found Slimfast really really hard and didn't see the benefits. Weight Watchers is actually really good but I end up stopping pointing and then put the weight back on. I thought if I do a calorie counting diet instead then it is always there in front of me whereas with WW you have to look up certain foods to see how many points are in them.

I have just put six pairs of trousers that fall down when I put them on in the charity bag! I've been wearing them to work with a safety pin holding them up for a couple of months but now they are past the point of ridiculousness!

I am going to buy new ones come pay day!

ooooh - lots of new people, wonderful!

How did you do on Tuesday kbear? Love the tale of the trousers . I can't do that yet as all my clothes were too small for me to start with!

I went to class last night and after a very very bad two weeks I had lsot 1/2 lb. I was very very pleased

Hi - didn't go this week lil. Had an exhausting weekend (DS's birthday), plus did a bootfair and then party on Monday after school. Also DD was tired and emotional and needed her mum on Tuesday evening! I did my salsa lesson on Wednesday and have been on the straight and narrow foodwise (I think!).
