putting it that way lilibet, it is good isn't it. I'm going for 2lb this week and that will bring me to 1 stone lost.

I can't WAIT to get back to swimming in Sept once the kids are back at school - have missed it. The exercise is very good for my mental state, it eases my stress (I am quite an emotional stressy person - inwardly, I rarely rant and rave, just churn inside IYKWIM!). I am also going to start proper salsa lessons hopefully next Wednesday. I will probably fall over alot but I love the music and fancy giving it a whirl!

Crisps eh? Is that your only vice this week?

Had a few bad days but am now back on the straight and narrow

How's everyone else?

My weightloss, like kbear's has been slow and steady, which I kow is good inone way, but it's so infuriating in another.

I need to up the exercise as well to get it to go a bit quicker. Good Luck for tonight

Half a pound lost this week! Would have been more but I bought sodding chocolate biscuits and ate half a packet at the weekend. It was one of those "I know I shouldn't but i can't physically stop myself going to the cupboard" moments.

Anyway, threw myself into salsacise tonight with gusto - boy did we sweat (nice!). Also starting salsa lessons tomorrow so that will help. Kids back at school this week so next week will start swimming again. So, feeling fired up and motivated.

15 weeks til the Christmas parties girls. I want to lose another 8lbs. Let's DO IT.

I was hoping for a stone by the 14th kbear, but I think that your plan is more realistic.

Well done on the 1/2 lb

My weigh in is Thursday firststar, did you enjoy your fist class?

lilibet WELL DONE! You're doing fantastically well.

I've had a bad week food wise, been a bit stressed with DH unwell, DD starting new junior school and DS starting reception. That's a crap excuse but it's the only one I have!

The upside of this week is that I started salsa lessons on Wednesday and can honestly say it was the best night out in a long time. 6 of us went, there were about 30 in the class. Oh, how we laughed and it was a HOT night and we were boiling but it was great and the best exercise I've ever done. Would recommend it.

Good luck gals.

I put a pound on . Still, after all that sweating at salsacise that pound must surely have gone !!!

Note to self: START COUNTING CALORIES AGAIN; STOP EATING BISCUITS WHEN YOU'RE STRESSED; DON'T GO TO ANY MORE BBQS OVER THE ROAD WHERE YOU DRINK A WHOLE BOTTLE OF WINE IN AN AFTERNOON!!!

How is everyone?

Oh dear Kbear, my resolution is wavering this week.

I am just soooooooo hungry

KBear · 13/09/2006 23:05

lil - don't lose heart now. Think about how great you're looking, think about another half stone off, take it slow, have a treat a day to keep your motivation up. How about some more exercise? How about re-thinking your meals so they are more filling yet less calories? Come on, we can do this....

I should be an instructor - good at pep talks - I should listen to myself ha ha!

Sorry firststar, didn't mean to ignore you, well done on your half pound. Every little helps right?

Just been to salsa class - phew, hips aching, must have lost a pound or two! It's such a great laugh.

Weigh in tonight, oh dear.

I have changed my eating habits in the past 6 months, quite drastically really, but I think that I need a further change to carry on with the weight loss. I've drifted away from the step, and as I'm not prepared to eat less I must be prepared to exercise more

Ho hum

I didn't go

I had a bad bad bad day with the children, ended up intears (hormonal, but hey, it still counts)

Stayed in and ate satay (bad bad lilibet), drank gin, wine and whiskey (but thankfully not all at the same time!)

But I did do 20 minutes of step this morning [proud emoticon]

considering joining rc club on wednesday, does it work?!
gotta do something about my weight,v v v overweight right now and have alot to lose!
done ww last year and lost 2stone then lost enthusiasum, has all gone back on now, what a disaster!

lilibet · 18/09/2006 12:11

Come on firststar - you can do this!! I know it's difficult at times but it will work if you stick to it 95% of the time!!

Smeeinit, I think that it's the same with all these clubs, if you find one that you can stick to it will work for you. I've done all the others but this is the only one that I have had success with.
