Couldn't get much more inspirational than the title of the first thread. We're doing this for ourselves. No one else outside family really cares if we're size 16 or size 10. No one else really benefits when we're slimmer. We take all the pain but get all the benefits. And it matters, we'll do anything to get there. Seriously assess - are you really doing all you can? Could you maybe cut out a bit more junk or exercise on the days you can't be bothered? If you really are doing all you can, brilliant. the weight will be coming off, slowly but surely. If, like me, you're thinking that maybe you could try a bit harder sign in here for your butt kicking.
do you want to be fat at christmas?

Tango I have a dh like that. Angry

Tell him if he wants to put Shitland into his body....but he will have to buy it, and he will have to keep it away from you. Does he not want his dw to be happy ? Wink

My dh is my goal weight....skinny bugger!! Envy

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 12/08/2012 10:37

Ah, nice shiny new thread :) I just posted on the other one that I had a not so good day yesterday. Lots of walking but lots of grazing between meals.

That pesky pound was back this morning, but hopefully it's water weight and will go away so I can claim a maintain during totm for the first time ever! But I won't be disappointed if it's a pound on, that's what usually happens to me.

I've got to go into uni tomorrow to help on a project, very annoying as it's my first gym day of the week and I like to get 4 visits a week in. Going to take my stuff with me and hope that we finish early enough for me to go.

archareastie · 12/08/2012 11:21

Just marking place. Having busy week end (sadly not at the gym) but will be back :)

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 12/08/2012 11:29

Another willpower win for me this morningGrin.
After church there were plates full of cupcakes, brownies, shortbread and cookies for general consumption.
I had a black tea, and walked away to talk to some people while DH and DD chomped their way through 2 or 3 dozen of the treats. DD tried to get me to eat "just one", but I refused, knowing I'd have to come clean here if I caved.
Thank you everyone for saving me from cake (my kryptonite).

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 11:29

Tango me too. I really haven't found the answer yet

I need to venture upstairs to try on a dress - I think it's perfect for this wedding, but I've not worn it for a year (although I WAS heavier then) so a bit nervous in case it looks horrible.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 12/08/2012 11:57

LV if the fit is wrong, could you adapt the dress with e.g. A ribbon round the waist, or changing the straps.

Deja vu there stealth , that doesn't usually happen with such a gap. Usually repeat posts are next to each other, not 31 minutes apartGrin.

MilkshakeMaker · 12/08/2012 12:21

And thread 3 begins!!

I'm feeling really really motivated...from tomorrow onwards! I've decided i'm going to do weekly meal panners as its mostly dinners I fail on. Going to drink lots of water, do the pilates dvd 4 eves a week and ride to work 3 days a week.

LollipopViolet · 12/08/2012 12:37

Yaaaay! It fits fine!

It already has a belt attached that actually looks really pretty :)

Fairenuff · 12/08/2012 12:41

Hi all, do you mind if I join you?

Been dieting on and off for about a year, lost 2 stone so far. Just counting calories and trying to get more exercise. Find dieting quite easy, it's just sticking to it that's difficult sometimes Grin

So, hoping for some motivation to keep me on track. I'd like to lose another stone over the next six weeks or so, two stone by Christmas.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 12/08/2012 12:45

Welcome fairenuff we all have wobbles but (and this is the important part) we refuse to fall down. It's not your past choices that make it work, it's what you decide to do from now on . We get back on the wagon ASAP, and help each other back on the road to slimtownGrin

archareastie · 12/08/2012 12:46

Wow lollipop what a lovely dress Envy

Welcome - I''m quite new too Grin

IO well done with resisting the cake. I made DH a millionaires shortbread this morning - luckily I can't eat it as I can't eat gluten but I had to melt the chocolate for the top and was desperate to have a cube....but resisted - horray!

tango my Dh is the same - really frustrating!

Well, I've been really good today - no snacks all morning except to test a mouthful of soup I made for dinner which doesn't count really . Just had an egg and salad filled pitta for lunch and diving into my low calorie hot choc. Haven't been to the gym since Thursday so feeling a bit guilty, but have booked DH to look after DD on Tuesday so will be able to go 3 times this week...and I did need a few days to recover from that exercise class the other day Wink

musttidyupmusttidyup · 12/08/2012 12:47

Liking the feel of this thread! Can I join the non quiche? I'm a year in and nearly 4 stone down but another half-1 to go, and it's a struggle. Partly because I'm delighted to fit a12 (on a good day) and partly because I need it to go off my belly. Would love to be in a size 10 by Christmas.

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 12:49

Sorry, I sometimes click post on my phone and then look at it a while later and think it hasn't posted so click post again, then realise it had. Stupid phone!

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 12/08/2012 12:50

musttidy welcome aboard, you can join me, doing sit ups and Pilates to tone up without increasing thigh girth.
4 stone Shock that's good going!

StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 12:50

More new people, welcome :)
Glad to hear it lv!
Love that, we wobble but we don't fall, we're like the weebles

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 12/08/2012 12:52

Milkshake, ill join you on the weekly meal planners I think. Next week will be bad as kids away so snack/ junk food becomes tempting. But hopefully meal planning can rein it in a bit

OP posts:
IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 12/08/2012 12:52

As long as we don't have to look like weeblesGrin although my mii on wii fit does

LollipopViolet · 12/08/2012 13:51

Thanks for the compliments re: dress :)

I've had it about a year, last wore it to my 21st birthday meal out, and I liked it then.

HOPEFULLY, if I can shift some more pounds before the wedding, it'll look even better. I will, of course, post a picture of me in it, if I can get someone to take a nice one :)

Currently lounging in a pair of tracksuit bottoms and an old t-shirt, because it's Sunday, I'm going nowhere, and I'm comfy.

I'm thinking of getting a Kinect for the xbox, so I can play the fitness games. I have a Wii and Wii fit, but find there's more choice on the xbox so the Wii has fallen by the wayside.

That and it said I was lighter than my scales did Angry

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 12/08/2012 14:11

Hi newbies.
Fairenuff Tis me SparkySparrow. Nice to still your still going strong from our Healthy weight loss thread :)

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 12/08/2012 14:20

Ooooh Bonkey I remember you as SparkySparrow.

Afternoon everyone and welcome to everyone that's new. :)

I stayed in bed til quarter to 12 today. Shock Blush

In my defense we had no dcs last night, stayed out til 1am and I have a cold. I can't remember the last time I did that. I was probably about 16.

On the plus side I haven't eaten yet today and probably won't until we go out for a family meal later to celebrate my Dad's birthday.

Lollipop I love that dress. Red and black are my uniform and I would love to have a red dress.
