Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

Drink a pint of water before starting to bake so you feel full.
As soon as cakes are in the oven, put the bowl in soapy water so you won't be tempted to lick the cake mix.
Brush your teeth while the cakes are in the oven as anything mixed with toothpaste tastes nasty .

BonkeyMollocks · 25/07/2012 12:13

No, I seem to like most cake Blush

I'm going to pretend we have made them with marmite!

BonkeyMollocks · 25/07/2012 12:14

Ah teeth brushing!!! I used to do this all the time, everything tastes gross with toothpaste!

Genius!!

BonkeyMollocks · 25/07/2012 12:18

Just checked MFP. One fairy cake is 90 cals and thats not including any icing Shock

Not worth it! Not worth it! Not worth it!

Grin
StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 12:42

NO WIBBLING
That 90 cals would get you loads of other stuff
I have just had 2 cripbreads (they weren't ryvita, they were ryvita brand but some sort of white thing, nice enough though) with houmous, red onion, cucumber and loads of black pepper. They were delicious! I also had a lump of carrot and my whole lunch was 126 cals.
Right, at 2pm I will have an options hot choc, which might stave the chocolate cravings off until later.

Where is everyone?
I've just had a bucket of popcorn that was 60cals. I actally feel full. It was buttered -- if i could get it unbuttered then it would be even better, surely?

KatoPotato · 25/07/2012 14:35

Where was this popcorn from??

BonkeyMollocks · 25/07/2012 14:36

I'm here! :)

Cakes done, iced and decorated, not one has passed my lips.

I have just had a black pepper Ryvita, yum!!

slothprincess · 25/07/2012 15:03

Well done Bonkey on the not eating any cake front. Majorly impressed you didn't even lick the beater.

I've just been out on a lovely picnic. I'd bought some very yummy "superfood" salads from M&S to keep me on track with no wibbling on this fine and sunny wednesday. They certainly tasted "super". Have entered lunch into MFP and looks like I'll be over on fat (due to an overconsumption of olives) but not on calories.

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 15:32

Well done Bonkey.
Popcorn was just butterkist! Made some for the DC.
I ahve wibbled :( 7g chocolate

BonkeyMollocks · 25/07/2012 15:38

Shock Stealth

Do you need to have chocolate in the house?

If I am going to be good then I can have no crap that i like in the cupboards. I buy the gross stuff that ds likes!

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 15:40

ouch :o
I do need to. I am addicted. DS has snickers bars which I hate bur if I had nothing else I'd start nibbling the chocolate off them

Badvoc · 25/07/2012 15:54

I have just ordered John briffas book...I think low carb is for me.
Feel properly awful for the first time today...actually I'll with fatigue..headache the works...also aching all over due to Pilates yesterday...

Badvoc · 25/07/2012 15:55

I am like stealth...I will eat stuff I don't even like when I am "in the zone"

BonkeyMollocks · 25/07/2012 16:22

How about buying child size bars?

Individually wrapped and smaller. No open packets in the fridge staring at you.

Badvoc Are you drinking enough? Especially in this heat!
Try downing a pint or two of water, see if it helps :)

LollipopViolet · 25/07/2012 16:31

I'm here.

I sort of wibbled - didn't do the gym as it's stupidly humid today. Will go tomorrow and work double hard, honest! :)

InMySpareTime · 25/07/2012 17:26

DH wants a takeaway for date night. Any ideas what I can have that's less than about 500cals?

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 17:32

What sort of food?

OP posts:
InMySpareTime · 25/07/2012 17:37

Chinese or italian

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 17:40

Nor sure about 500 cal but does Italian do any chreseless pizza or pasta with a tomato based sauce? Sorry. I know they sound dull :(

OP posts:
KatoPotato · 25/07/2012 17:52

Just have a half portion of what you fancy! Having a little of what you like will keep on track long term.

Take it from me, Munchy box and lost 2lbs eh?

BonkeyMollocks · 25/07/2012 17:58

What Kato said!

Have half what you would normally have, then you won't feel like you are missing out :)

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 18:01

see this is why I stuggle to lose weight! That would never occur to me, and tbh I'm not sure I cpuld actually put my fork down with stuff on my plate

OP posts:
KatoPotato · 25/07/2012 18:01

And load it onto a side plate! I'm going to enjoy it vicariously through you! Please give full details of what you order!! I'd break someone's arm for crispy seaweed!! And duck pancakes... And char Sui curry

KatoPotato · 25/07/2012 18:02

Plate half and bin half! It's the only way!
