Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

Brilliant! The Munchy box is famous!! I'm not sure if this is anything to be proud of!!

I'm going to make a promise to not go near a Munchy box until im a stunning size 10 and I'll pose for a photoshoot with one!

Love the ethos of MM... Hurrah to us!

LollipopViolet · 22/07/2012 20:31

Love the new thread title, by the way :)

TheOneWithTheHair · 22/07/2012 20:33

Hi all. Thanks for the new thread *Stealth^.

Still on the subject of munchy boxes. The diet iron bru made me laugh. For motivational Monday I shall be swimming (as much as one can with a 3yr old in tow) and lots of walking. I'll be in the Lakes from Monday to Friday so hopefully the exercise will help to combat the effects of wine and nibbles.

I know I will eat healthy meals and not snack in the day because that's how it always goes when I'm away.

Good luck everyone who weighs in tomorrow. I'll post my weight before I leave. :)

StealthPolarBear · 22/07/2012 20:35

I will do level 2 shred for the first time Aaargh
Ikwym, I go away usually Tue and wed, all meals nd snacks planed and I'm usually really good. I'm off this week so will need to make extra effort. But we can do it, we've all proved that. So if its not happening then there is an element of choice.

Right, I'm with you on MM. Goodbye thoughts of munchy boxes (kato, be proud, be very proud), hello actually getting my sports bra on and........doing the shred!!!!

InMySpareTime · 22/07/2012 20:57

Looking forward to tomorrow

MilkshakeMaker · 22/07/2012 21:04

I can't believe I started a thread that got full!

I've been pathetic knowing I couldnt weigh myself but as of tomorrow I've no excuse. Plus I only have 6 weeks till I'm a bridesmaid so ready to start again and don't have the luxury of slip ups any more.

I'm looking forward to it too, I'm actually planning on shredding in the morning, then riding to work. If I'm not in pain I'm doing something wrong!

OddBoots · 22/07/2012 21:19

Woo-hoo, it's thread two.

StealthPolarBear · 22/07/2012 21:23

Hi milkshake hope you don't mind me starting this but am on phone and last one was so slow. And it started as your thread but rapidly turned into a quiche (small slice with green salad, low fat dressing) :o
You sound very motivated

KatoPotato · 22/07/2012 21:27

Remember it's not sweat... It's fat crying! (an entire Munchy box evidently!)

My weigh in will be tomorrow (following ablutions...)

StealthPolarBear · 22/07/2012 21:32

I love that!

OP posts:
MilkshakeMaker · 22/07/2012 21:40

I don't mind at all, not a squinny me... though I must be dim as I don't get the quiche bit!?

I will be motivated in the morning yes, I think the lemon meringue donuts this afternoon sort of hit home how crap I am!

whyme2 · 22/07/2012 21:45

Grin Motivational Monday - I like it!

I am ready to commit to the power of the Monday again

And actually up to Saturday I had a good, focused week and lost 1lb. Might have eaten way too much over the weekend but I am committed to long term weight loss.

Dc's finish school on Tuesday so I am planning walking them everyday for my weight loss and to make sure the little buggers they sleep at night. I need my evenings especially in school hols.

dementedma · 22/07/2012 21:59

signing up for Motivational Monday.
I am going to do this!!!!!!!!

VivaLeBeaver · 22/07/2012 22:00

Hi, can I join?

I have ordered a gymboss and am planning to redo couch to 5k in an attempt to lose weight.

I need to stop eating crap as week.

gymboss

UKSky · 22/07/2012 22:19

Found you.

Count me in. I definitely need an incentive to lose some weight. Not sure about a size 10 as my build is bigger than that, and at my best pulling size I was a 12.

I'll start as I mean to go on. Today I ate:
Breakfast - bacon bap
Lunch -Chicken Caesar salad with a portion of chips
Bar of nougat
Handful of cherries
Now eating a small chicago deep pan pizza

Exercise today:
Lug an estate carful of crap down a flight of stairs to take to a carboot sale.
Lugging 1/4 carful back up stairs 5 hours later
1 1/2 hours gardening

I'm going to weigh myself in the morning, and I will be honest about my weight (it's nearly 16 stone and I'm 6'2" and a size 16).

Now, I've just googled Munchy Box (being a softie southerner I've never heard of them). Now I will have to remove that area from my list of places to visit.

KatoPotato · 22/07/2012 22:25

This is probably the best time to admit that I used to be fond of a pizza crunch:

behold the pizza crunch

A cheap cheese and tomato pizza, deep fried in batter, soaked in salt and vinegar and served with a ton of chips!

It's not easy being on a diet in Scotland!!

Jinsei · 22/07/2012 22:37

Can I join? Have had a bit of a bad weekend as family are visiting and have been eating out a lot. They're here till Saturday so I will be a whale again by the end of the week if I keep eating at this rate - though I have still maintained a bit more self-control than I would usually have done, and we did go for a long-ish walk, so all is not lost.

Anyway, tomorrow is a new day, so I'm going to get up early and do some exercise, then eat as healthily as I can....

Wolfiefan · 22/07/2012 22:44

Motivate me! Eaten too much this weekend. Need to get back on track. Heading towards 4 stone lost in the next few weeks.

(Just typing that makes me determined to get there. Less than half a stone to go!)

BonkeyMollocks · 22/07/2012 23:07

Oh blimey! Pizza crunch! Shock

marriedinwhite · 22/07/2012 23:21

Weigh in tomorrow. Why do I always eat on Sundays?

1 glass pink grapfruit juice
1 open salad and cottage cheese sarnie
1 serving noodles, brocolli and chicken with much and low fat creme fraich

That looks pretty good except for the 3 G&T's I said I wouldn't have today Sad

wherearemysocks · 22/07/2012 23:32

Loving the Motivational Monday. I'm still at the seaside though for another couple of days so I shall be calling on you all for a motivational Wednesday (not quite the same ring to it), when I get back.

Not too bad today though, had a cream tea with dd1 while dd2 and dh had nap, but for dinner we found a nice seafood restaurant and I left the potatoes and didn't have my own desert, just picked at dd's and dh's. After all it doesn't count when ts not your own right?

Long walk on the beach tomorrow, though it's far to cold to swim in sea (I'm very much a southern softy).

Good luck all with your MM, and hit the gym. And if someone can just do a quick 5k for me on the treadmill that would be great, ta.

I think that munchy box is gonna give me nightmares now Shock

TheOneWithTheHair · 22/07/2012 23:35

Kato dh says he likes haggis, chips and sauce.

Not sure about pizza crunch. Shock

KatoPotato · 22/07/2012 23:41

YY to Haggis chips and curry sauce.... Wowser trousers, I can't fasten my trousers!

Good luck to everyone tomorrow morning! I am a lost cause I reckon!
