Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

I just slipped and landed on the scales Hmm ....another 2lbs off!!

Not going to make it official until Monday weigh day, but YAY!!!!! :)

shouldbe · 25/07/2012 09:02

Golly, you are all doing very well - I hope I can reach my target but am not feeling very positive somehow.

Thanks for the welcome yesterday; I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up with the thread - there are lots of you and I don't always have much time on the computer but I'll do my best.

We are off swimming today with friends. I plan to take a picnic lunch and no extra cash so there will be no possiblity of buying extra snacks at the poolside. There's also the horror of needing to be in a swimsuit all afternoon in front of other people which I am dreading.

OddBoots · 25/07/2012 09:02

well done everyone!

I'm adding to my No-wibble Wednesday with a 'Wear what makes you happy Wednesday'

I am shrinking out of some lovely clothes so over the next few days and weeks I fully intend to wear them, even if they are a bit dressy for day-to-day wear. Today I am going for a swishy purple dress (I never wear dresses for anything other than a party) with my pearls. I'm only visiting my mum but I don't care, I want to wear something to make me feel good and smile.

chipsandmayonnaise · 25/07/2012 09:03

YEAH Bonkey!!!!!!!!

That is fantastic!!!!

littlemissstan · 25/07/2012 09:20

Well, I have lost 1.2lbs since Saturday according to my scales - hooray! Spin class this morning and have planned ahead again, bringing chicken salad and fruit with me to work. Onwards and downwards :) Well done everyone!

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 09:36

Unofficial well done Bonkey and littlemiss
shouldbe, just pop on when you can and say hi and let us know how you're doing, don't worry about trying to catch up with the thread. Enjoy swimming
demented, less bloated is good. That's usually the first sign that I am back in control of my eating.
Well I have done shred again. I think I'm sticking with it this time because at the end she says "see you tomorrow" and i say "OK". I can't lie to Jillian now can I?

Oh and I;ve decided that instead of going out to get butter I will have houmous on my ryvita (under my cucumber). I love houmous and don't eat it as often as I'd like!

Omg omg omg! I saw 12 0 this morning!!! It's not an official weigh in day but i saw it! I saw it right there! 12 bang on!

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 09:59

Well done Kato :o
I have been wanting chocolate but trying not to wibble and you have inspired me! I am still 12s4 but doing all the right things so am having faith that it will drop!

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 10:00

Oh and Kato, keep at it because the next weight you see will start with an 11!

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 10:01

Is everyone looking at BMIs? Mine is currently 25.8 which is so close to 'normal'. I am desperate to get back to the normal range.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 10:02

6lb to lose to take me to 24.9

OP posts:
BonkeyMollocks · 25/07/2012 10:07

My BMI was 29.5 at last look.
I think that makes me obese in the NHS guidelines Blush

I will get it under 25!!!!

Well done Kato !! At next weigh in it will start with 11!!! :)

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 10:10

According to the site I'm using, no, that makes you overweight not obese. And afaik most of the increased risks of disease really kick in when you are obese.
So well done - keep it up!

KatoPotato · 25/07/2012 10:15

Guys... I'm finally under 30!!! 29.8 is beyond a miracle to me...No longer obese!!!!

sleepychunky · 25/07/2012 10:24

Well done Kato! My BMI is 36.7 so a very long way for me to go. Just looked though and the calculator says I'd have to be 10st 6 to be "normal" - I haven't weighed that ever my entire adult life, so I'm not placing too much emphasis on BMI. Onwards and upwards!

littlemissstan · 25/07/2012 10:51

Hmm, 27.4 for me - meaning I need to lose 1 stone 3 lbs to be "normal"!! That's a shock, the last time I was at that weight (11 stone or so) people told me I was too thin, and this suggests it's the very top end of normal!

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 11:02

Well everyone carries weight differently, don't they. You can obviously get away with a bit more. BMI is a fairly blunt instrument (doesn't stop me obsessing over ever 0.1!)

You know what, these threads are amazing. Thank you Milkshake for starting them. I am desperate for chocolate, but in the spirit of NWW and based on advice from here I've been putting it off as long as I can. And now I've ust remembered, I froze grapes the other day, again, advice on here, so I am going to treat myself to 6 now, instead of chocolate. Then it wll be lunchtime and I plan to reinstate the afternoon nap again, all those will hopefully take me through to dinner.

Just checking in quickly before I go to town, the job centre and the gym

Have had some cereal for breakfast, and will no doubt have some lunch before heading to the gym (if I'm hungry, I've literally just finished breakfast).

DDog is his usual self, thank you all :)

InMySpareTime · 25/07/2012 11:39

My BMI was 37 last time I checked, I'm thoroughly Tongan, but only a size 16 (not even a tight size 16). I'm blaming my stone of boobs and my muscly thighs for some of the discrepancy, but I would like to be a loose size 12 again, even if it means waving goodbye to my magnificent bosomsSad.

Badvoc · 25/07/2012 11:46

My bmi is 27'something...nearly 28.
Not good.
I am heading towards a size 16
My tummy is huge, as are my boobs, mynuppernarms are jelly like and I look generally frumpy
:(

InMySpareTime · 25/07/2012 12:05

I think I am just physically denser than most people, I'm hoping that cutting out most cake and cycling more (I only cycle in school holidays as can't manage DD and the bike) will get me back in smaller shape.

BonkeyMollocks · 25/07/2012 12:06

Grrrr!! Ds wants to make cakes!

I don't know if my willpower is there yet :(

StealthPolarBear · 25/07/2012 12:08

Are there any cakes he likes and you don't?
