Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

45 minutes of cycling done, in the dry, 704 calories burnt according to MFP. Which will come in handy as we are going to a pub quiz tonight.

TheLightPassenger · 07/08/2012 14:34

I can't even ride a real bike, exercise bikes all the way for me! Have done 15 mins on it, need to get back to it..

Nick Clegg - oh god.

MilkshakeMaker · 07/08/2012 15:52

704 in 45mins? You must have been riding like a lunatic! My ex bike says 230 in half hour and bike to work is 300 in 40 mins...I must be slacking big time!

archareastie · 07/08/2012 15:53

Hi all

mrspnut wow - 704 calories - that's great going Grin

Well, I had my weigh in at the gym today. I don't know whether to cheer for joy or be seriously Hmm at their scales. According to their fancy pants scales I'm just over 5 kilos lighter now than less than 3 weeks ago. That's alot isn't it?! I can't think I've managed that much given my scales at home (although temperamental) say maybe more like half that at a push . Obv I'm v v happy in the loss but I'm just a bit Hmm as I can't believe their scales are right!!

The one nick clegg eh?

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 07/08/2012 16:41

Well done Arch. Stick to those gym scales. :)

Just had a text from dh. He says that unsurprisingly Nick Clegg is a bit of a sap. I'll find out more later. :)

MrsPnut · 07/08/2012 16:44

Definitely 704 calories according to MFP, I cycled 10 miles in 45 minutes but it probably is calculated according to my weight.

5kg in three weeks is brilliant going, and as long as you have used the same scales for both measurements then it is definitely right.

HolofernesesHead · 07/08/2012 17:22

Congrats Arch! Brilliant weight loss. Grin

With MFP, how do you make your profile / food diary public? I am using it but I don't think I've ade it public yet. I haven't got any friends anyway [Billy no-mates] Is it really better if you make your profile public / acquire some friends? If so would anyoe like to be my MFP buddy? Smile

Right - dinner. Pasta bolognaise bake and salad. Fruit for pudding, and herbal tea this evening. That sounds good, doesn't it?

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 07/08/2012 17:29

I'm inthesparetime on MFP if you want to add me. To make your profile public, change settings in "more" on the bottom right of the home bar.

HolofernesesHead · 07/08/2012 17:31

I'm 'BasilTheGreat' (don't ask...............)

LollipopViolet · 07/08/2012 17:32

Yay! Even with Subway and a little bit of chocolate, I'm under calories from walking round town and pounding the treadmill for an hour at the gym - and that's with EVERYTHING logged, including my dinner, which I haven't eaten yet :)

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 07/08/2012 17:32

Lunch turned out to be a variation on a sweet and sour theme, with rice in, which made the tagliatelle I had with it a bit strangeConfused.
Dinner was penne with tomato and chilli sauce and cheese.

MrsPnut · 07/08/2012 17:56

I'm Mrs_pnut on MFP, it's quite nice having a few people on your news feed to spur you on.

slothprincess · 07/08/2012 18:21

I posted a long message on here earlier but it didn't seem to work for some reason. So here's the highlights Grin.

Thank you arch and Thelight for the breast feeding advice. I'm definately trying to cut out empty cake calories rather than the good stuff. Think sometimes I really am hungry and other times I eat out of habit or boredom.

I'm rachyowl on MFP. Add me, I have no friends!

TheLightPassenger · 07/08/2012 18:45

I don't bother with MFP, I keep a running total of cals in my head /saddo. am about on target with calories for the day, and done 1/2h on exercise bike, will try and do more after dinner

KatoPotato · 07/08/2012 19:00

Hi everyone! Trying my first ever body combat class tonight!

Add me katoabes On MFP

KateSpade · 07/08/2012 19:42

I have not been on this thread in ages.

Over the last two previous weeks, i have lost 2.5lbs, not a major amount i know, but today (weigh in day) i put on 0.5lb. To be fair it deserved to be more, i had a take away curry and ate four GU puddings... Blush

However, half a pound, isn't really anything is it?... Ladies?...

fluffyraggies · 07/08/2012 19:46

I've joined MFP on my laptop as my phone is old and boring and doesn't have IA. When i look at the 'friends' bit it's asking for email addresses so i'm not doing right ! :(

How do i add a friend?

I'm fluffyraggies on there just like here.

I'd like a friend :)

TheLightPassenger · 07/08/2012 19:48

Kato - so 2.5 lbs off, 0.5 lbs on - that's 2lbs net loss, you're laughing in my book!

fluffyraggies · 07/08/2012 19:48

Half a pound is nothing Kate :)

A pint of water weighs more than that, so it could even be just an extra cup of tea?!

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 07/08/2012 19:54

kate next time have a wee before weigh in.

I always do this, ever since someone told me a pint of water is about a lb!

Overall, you still have a loss and that fab! :)

KateSpade · 07/08/2012 19:56

Yeah, thats a very good point fluffy i have done quite well loosing what i have done recently, I've really cut down on carbs, hardly any.

& Thanks Light i just need that extra bit of re-assurance. :)

fluffyraggies · 07/08/2012 20:00

Lol, i have a wee, strip off and take off any heavy jewelery before i do a weight check Grin

slothprincess · 07/08/2012 20:03

Squeeze out a number 2 if you can kate. That'll be a good 1/2 - 1 pound, surely?!

KateSpade · 07/08/2012 20:48

hahah. I thought that. I had a wee before i went, but after getting weighed i thought, damn no-poo.

StealthPolarBear · 07/08/2012 21:53

hi everyone :)
Hi Kate well done at 2lb. I've noticed your absence, as well as others, but suppose it's holidat season isn't it? I give them another 3 weeks and then I will be kicking butts around the boards Wink
