Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

Body combat? Bloody mortally embarrassing combat more like...

I sweat a lot... I kicked, I punched and I scissor kicked. But there were mirrors. Lots of mirrors!!

Rewarding myself with food porn by proxy... Fat families on TiVo!

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 07/08/2012 22:06

I hate mirrors!

LollipopViolet · 07/08/2012 22:32

I hate mirrors too.

Why must the gym be full of the stupid things? And why does my gym have huge windows looking into the little downstairs cardio area?

chipsandmayonnaise · 08/08/2012 05:56

Morning all!

I need a bit of a kick up the bum. I am doing okay- went over points again last night- because at a certain point in the evening I get depressed and think that I will never be able to do it. Oh well. problem is, I am too focused on this bloody wedding on Sunday and how I am a stone off my goal weight. What I REALLY need to be telling myself is that I am 10 pounds down from what I started- so look how well I am doing!

I did rack up 7 actvitiy points though yesterday- and am about to go for an hour long walk before work. So- 13 points activity in 2 days. I am pretty pleased with that!

Today- boiled eggs, chopped tomatoes and ryvita
Lunch- ham salad with lots and lots of fresh veg
Dinner- not sure. Have finished the spinach soup (threw it away- it went slimey and smelled bad ugh) so might make a proper chunky chicken and veg soup- light on the chicken. Could have that with a bread roll for dinner. mmm.

That should be about 15 points..... way under. Might add in a big fruit salad and some cottage cheese in there somewhere. Afternoon snack maybe.

Hope everyone is going well. You all inspire me so much.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 08/08/2012 06:46

Good morningSmile
chips stick with it, find some of your old "fat" clothes and put them on to show yourself how far you've come.
I'm at a posh B&B (with wifi), so will be having a full English breakfastBlush, but then spending the whole day setting up, backstage crewing, then taking down theatre set, which will more than burn it off. I will surely go over on fat though, I wonder if I'll be in negative calories by the end of todayGrin. That really confuses MFP.

MrsPnut · 08/08/2012 07:45

Morning, I went to the pub last night and had 3 pints but passed on the chip butties at half time in the quiz.

Chips - I think if you eat a bit more protein during the day then you might find that it fills you up a bit more. I know those self defeating thoughts well but a few glasses of water and still feeling full from dinner can make a big difference.

StealthPolarBear · 08/08/2012 08:08

hi everyone
chips, I know those self defeating thoughts s well, its like you're pretending to diet but ultimately you think you're being ridiculous. All I can say is it's wrong but I do know it's so hard to convince yourslef.
Well, despite having 3 really good days I am 11st13, which is a lb up from where I was about a week ago (but I think 1lb lighter than the sneaky weigh in I had on saturday)
:(

archareastie · 08/08/2012 09:18

chips I know how you feel, just keep telling yourself you can do it, it's what I'm trying to do!

Did anyone watch the horizon tv prog the other evening on health and eating and fasting? It was really interesting.

stealth well done on the 3 good days and the 1lb since saturday.

Weighed myself this morning on the scales at home which I trust more than the gym ones it seems and I've now just clipped into the 15 stones (allbeit right at the very top) Grin - considering a few months ago I was well in the 17s I feel proud, just got to get it well into the 15s then down to 14s etc etc. Off to the gym this morning - I will get there!

littlemissstan · 08/08/2012 10:05

Hello all! Have been away for a few days so catching up on everyone's news - well done on losses and hello to the new people.

I'm 1.8lbs off this week, hooray, though my mini-goal of being able to wear a particular dress to the races this Saturday is not looking too likely... However, I've got the week off this week, and we're too skint to go away, so have been filling my time with gym sessions, a 7 mile walk and last night was persuaded into roller skating along the sea front by my friend - I now hurt all over but am convincing myself it is good hurt :)

I'm another one with two stone to lose, would love to hit it in time for my 30th in December... Off to the gym again now!

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 08/08/2012 12:27

Well done on your losses Arch and littlemissstan.

I'm still determined. I turned down wine AND chocolate last night. A first for me. :)

fluffyraggies · 08/08/2012 13:23

Well done to everyone on their losses and determination Grin

I had the shock of my life yesterday evening. I put the scales in the hall where the floor is good and solid and yikes I'm not 12 and a half AT ALL i'm bloody over 14 ShockShockShock No wonder my skinny jeans are tight!

Aaanyways - the good news is i was 3 lb lighter this morning (straight out of bed, after a wee, wearing only knickers and before the first cupper) than i was last night.

Well i was a bit down about my shock weight discovery last night, but am better now :) and feel better for knowing the worst and carrying on.

Also - i've worked out how to do friend requests on MFP, so shall be stalking some of you soon!

I really feel this thread and MFP can help me loose my 4 stone.

Hope you're all doing well today.

sleepychunky · 08/08/2012 13:29

Hi everyone! It's my weigh-in today so....2lbs lost this week and a total of 13lb in 3 weeks. I was hoping for 3lbs this week to make the first stone but will settle for 2 I suppose.
I was going to do one of my DVDs last night once the children were in bed, but whilst attempting to save DS2 from falling off the table in the lounge, where he was practising being an airport control tower, I pulled a nerve or something in my neck and now I've got pain all the way down my right side to my back and I can hardly turn my head at all Sad. So I'll have to wait until that gets better before I attempt anything.
Well done to all the other losers - think there are quite a few who have a Wednesday weigh-in. Onwards and upwards!

StealthPolarBear · 08/08/2012 13:52

Well done sc :)
Oh fluffy what a shock. Are you sure they're right now? Seems a huge difference!

LollipopViolet · 08/08/2012 14:23

Ooooh dear, just eaten a 522 calorie tagliatelle thing, forgetting that it's my uncle's birthday and we're having a Chinese later.

Ooops.

Although to be fair, my meal usually lasts 3 meals anyway, so I shouldn't be over calories. Hopefully.

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 08/08/2012 14:52

fluffy At least now you know and it has given you a push to do something about it. Just think to yourself I will never ever let myself be that weight again! :)

Well, I possibly have another good reason to shift this weight. We may try for another baby next year. Its still a big maybe, lots of thinking needs to be done, but if we did go ahead I would very much like to be my ideal weight before I got pg, so that I am not piling weight on top of weight!

archareastie · 08/08/2012 15:26

bonkey what great potential news. Sorry if I'm a bit behind on all this but have you any dc already?

lollipop hope you can enjoy the chinese guilt free tonight. Can you run to the restaurant?!

sleepy poor you with the nerve. Hope it goes away quick - at least DC was saved from falling Hmm

fluffy I weigh myself like that too - first thing after wee before drink with as little as possible on Grin . are you sure those scales are right? I'd just go for one of the 2 weights the lighter one obviously and make sure the scales are never moved so they are accurate.

theone go you with the choc and wine refusal.

GTG in the garden and DD is signing for me to put her in the swing

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 08/08/2012 15:32

Yep on ds at the moment. Hes 4. :)
Still not 100% on whether we will or not. We have alot of thinking to do!
Plus I want to get ds settled in school and get his birthday and christmas out the way first. then who knows :)

But this weight needs to come off first! Angry

TheLightPassenger · 08/08/2012 16:06

afternoon all. despite a good week for food an okish for exercise I have somehow put on 2lbs, gah.

Sleepy - hope your neck feels better soon, I did something similar last summer, it's grim and you just don't feel up to exercise till its sorted.

chipsandmayonnaise · 08/08/2012 16:12

what exciting possibilities bonkey! Very best of luck!
fluffy your scales sound - um- erratic! Can there really be such a difference? I am too scared to move mine now!
Ouch sleepy That sounds very painful.

So many successful losers this week, congratulations all! I am not weighing in until Friday- and depending on how I feel, may skip it this week, just in case I have gone up and collapse in hysterics!

StealthPolarBear · 08/08/2012 16:46

woo hoo Bonkey :o
diet is officially off today. My motivation has melted in the sun. No shred (I have injured my calf) and have been stuffing myself for the last few hours :( I'd like to say I'll be back to it in the morning but not sure that's the case.

And milk. He always buys milk
