Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

Oops huge x post! Lv that sounds lovely. My uncle, who does it as a professional hobby, took pics at ours and he dropped huge glossy prints off at mums about 2 days after. It takes so long to get the professional ones and you're restricted as you only choose so many. So our mums were in tears at these. So I'd say yes, definitely, and if you can have it done asap then even better. We also kicked our photographer out before reception, so we have no professional ones of that.

I have had under 350 cals today and tea will be 300. I know crash dieting is naughty but I'm so desperate to lose this weight.

Bonkey why SF? Weeeell ... i honestly have tried lots and lots of different diets over the years and some have worked well (3 stone on Atkins about 12 years ago) some haven't (Dukan recently)

It seems to all come down to my mindset at the time and at the mo i am very down about my weight and need a big boost NOW. I did well dieting healthily about 18 months ago, but suffered a late MC and ate my way through the misery afterwards. I've put the wight back on and am kicking myself tbh :(

SF is easy and doesn't involve food basically.

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 06/08/2012 17:48

Question: Every day i seem to be going over my protein allowance. Will this affect loss much or not?

I am within cals most of the time and under on carbs and fat most of the time , but a chicken breast alone takes up a hell of a % of protein, add a egg and it over!

Stealth What are you eating for that much? Shock

StealthPolarBear · 06/08/2012 17:54

I personally never worry about anything othr than cals. I do feel bad as when I'm over its fat but protein surely ok? Just
Means you're doing a variNt of Atkins?

Lollipop my friend's dad got a new video camera and asked if he could video our wedding. He did an amazing job getting in the wedding, speeches and party. Then he burned it onto DVD for us. It was fantastic.

Stealth I've had a good day so far.

Breakfast - Belvita as always
Lunch - Starbucks skinny latte Blush
Dinner - mince and aubergine.

So far so good. :)

archareastie · 06/08/2012 18:20

lollipop sounds like a great idea to me. Everyone takes pictures at weddings anyhow so I don't think you would feel conspicuous. We chose a photographer who used to be a professional photojournalist (or sports photographer, I forget which but he did stuff for papers/magazines) as he did that candid style of natural shot which I find works really well. FWIW what I really liked about our wedding photographer is he took loads of lovely photos of all the guests too when they wern't realising. Looking through our wedding photos is just like looking at how the day was, the only staged pictures are family group ones and a few of DH and I. We had our photographer for the whole process from before the wedding to the end of the do taking pics but lots of people only have them for a little while at the ceremony and afterwards and get no photos of the do (especially later on when everyone lets their hair down!) . I think if their photographer is more of a rigid set up type of person your photos would be a great addition Grin

stealth 650 kcals for a day Shock how are you still standing?!

archareastie · 06/08/2012 18:24

Gosh theone I wish I could manage to eat so little - so far today I've had:
V small bowl of oat muesli with sprinkle of cornflakes
2 pitta bread with marmite
a few soya nuts
Some left over tofu/vegetable salad
A bowl of tomato soup and 2 (very small and thin) buckwheat sourdough slices
A bowl of water cress soup, 2 pitta and a little weight watchers cheese
Some strawberries and blueberries with greek yoghurt

I'll probably have a little more muesli before bed too as I have dinner at 5:30 and I'm hungry again by 9 Blush . This is me being good compared to what I was eating - but, genuinely guys, does this sound like alot as you all seem to eat so much less from what you seem to say Sad

StealthPolarBear · 06/08/2012 18:32

I am sitting on a train surrounded by crisps and sweets. The couple opposite me have bags of haribo, so many you can smell them and only stop eating them to discuss then (seriously). They also have cans of lager and i think the crisps were out before I joined the train - I had to move an empty pack off my seat! The woman sitting next to me also has a huge pack of sweets, though I don't think she's with the sweetie eating couple.

Shock Thats a lot of crap!

StealthPolarBear · 06/08/2012 18:35

Conversation now moved on to McDonald's, somewhere that charges 3.50 for chips and sambucca (no mention of flame vs non flame)

archareastie · 06/08/2012 18:40

bonkey I'm hoping you're referring to stealths sweetie eating couple and not my daily diet Hmm Blush Blush

stealth breath through your mouth and imagine your new slim wardrobe you'll get from resisting all that nasty Hmm stuff

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 06/08/2012 18:45

I eat enoughGrin
Today:
B;Oat cereal with almonds and coconut, semi milk.
L;Half a sausage, new potatoes, baked beans.
D;tagliatelle with Neapolitan sauce
Snack; half a slice of toast with marg (at work)
Still only came to 1000 cals though, and I did 400 worth of exercise (so far, I still have a show set to take down tonight)
So overall 600 net.
I eat well, but exercise quite a lot, I'm getting less fat but more musclyBlush.

HolofernesesHead · 06/08/2012 18:54

Wow, compared to you lot I eat a lot! I've had:

Breakfast: porridge with added bran and raisins, made with a mixture of water and semi skimmed milk and half a teaspoon of sugar

Lunch: granary bread sandwich with salad and lean ham

Dinner: medium sized jacket potato with half a can of beans, 20g low fat cheese, huge mixed salad, and for pudding, a bowl of raspberries and strawberries, with a tablespoon of melted choc Philly to make choc sauce - yummm! That lot came to 1100 cals, but it's quite a lot of food, so that's got to be good.

StealthPolarBear · 06/08/2012 18:55

Tbh I'm feeling fairly repulsed by it. That's a new one for me.
Imst, I always assumed your Olympic name referred to the Disney dog and didn't really get it! I listened to the news this morning and all became clear!

TheLightPassenger · 06/08/2012 19:02

Bonkey - protein is v filling, so would have thought absolutely fine to go over on.

Stealth - could it be tortilla chips and sambucca? How strange...

Have had about 1500 cals today, only done 10 minutes exercise. So a somewhat average day.

TheLightPassenger · 06/08/2012 19:04

Holo - sounds like major arse covering from gym - I have high bp (on meds for it) and exercise is really good for high bp, last thing you need is to be discouraged from it!

StealthPolarBear · 06/08/2012 19:04

Cheese sandwich coming out now. They're travelling about 100 miles (i can see their seat reservations). Is this really necessary?
Btw this is not a normal day for me. Because am away with work I can resist snacks and made myself a salad for lunch. Dollop of houmous. Slice of Quorn ham. Kelloggs breakfas biscuits for breakfast. Oat bar thing and an apple. I ususllu have mushroom omellete for breakfast, hpumous on ryvita for lunch them something for dinner. Lots of snacks.

Grin @ Stealth for the Bolt dog.

arch I am a chocolate and red wine fiend. I normally do eat lunch but took the dcs to McDonald's today Blush and I hate it.

I will also find it hard not to eat chocolate later but I have no wine open so that's good.

Chocolate is my crutch and I use it to feel better doesn't work so I have to battle everyday to not eat it. I'm incapable of only having a little.

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 06/08/2012 19:08

slothprincess · 06/08/2012 19:18

Right, weigh in for me this morning. As I suspected, I've stayed the same. 11 10. Looks like a few of us have maintained this week. I was expecting it so don't feel disappointed and I know I've gone over on MFP quite a few days.

Despite this, I felt the power of motivational monday and chose a salad when I went out for lunch earlier. I'm out for lunch again tomorrow so I hope I can still stay strong.

I'm thinking of not always eating my breast feeding calories unless I'm really hungry. Does anyone have a view on this? (My baby is 8 months old and exclusively breast fed. We're doing BLW so she hasn't cut out any feeds yet).

Hello all newcomers, you are very welcome here. And congrats to Lollipop and Bonkey and anyone else I've missed who's lost this week.

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 06/08/2012 19:36

sloth Tbh i think thats fair enough.

If I'm not hungry then I don't eat for the sake of it anymore. If it brings me under then so be it.

Do you think it would affect your supply though?
Maybe try and see?

HolofernesesHead · 06/08/2012 19:37

Lightpassenger, yup, the gym bloke pretty much said as much. He's given me a form for the GP to sign to say either, yes I have high BP and need exercise, or no, my BP is fine. It's never been high before - it was taken about 6 months ago and it was fine. But then again... Gym bloke also did my body fat percentage - 40% Blush

slothprincess · 06/08/2012 19:48
