Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

Aside from the problem with my feet, I do really enjoy it. I felt like I was going to die during yesterday's session because I've not done it for ages.

Zumba, tried that, have no co-ordination so didn't really enjoy it!

I'm going to the gym tomorrow, and am looking forward to it. I've still not been running though, the weather is rotten here at the moment.

I've also seen some lovely stuff for holiday in Peacocks, but because I don't know how warm Prague is in September, I don't know if I need shorts, or full thermals! There's a lovely denim jacket, and also a denim waistcoat type thing that I've seen. They also have more of the 3/4 length jeans and trousers I'm currently living in, so I might get some more, and see if I've dropped into a 14 yet!

sassytheFIRST · 05/08/2012 15:41

Can I add a tip for that sweet craving - Kendal mint cake. It's sooo sweet it makes your teeth hurt but for that reason I just can't eat more than 2 squares.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 05/08/2012 15:44

The trouble with kendal mint cake is the sugar spike and resulting crash later can make you even hungrier later on.

slothprincess · 05/08/2012 18:22

Well, today wasn't really much good for me on the starting again front. Had a big lunch with my brother and his family. It would have all been fine had I not prepared a rather deliciously calorific pudding. Over on all fronts on MFP.....again! But at least I feel in control by still logging everything. I predict I'll have stayed the same tomorrow or even a bit on.

My short term goal is to be in the low 11s by the time I go back to work from mat leave in 6 weeks (sob sob). I would have liked to have hit the top of the 10s but that's not possible.

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 05/08/2012 19:08

I have just had a roast and completely overdone the stuffing Blush .

Flojo1979 · 05/08/2012 21:56

Ouch did u have to do it so hard?

catclarks · 05/08/2012 22:59

Oooo, can I join in too please? Was doing so well at the beginning of the year then had a significant birthday which involved a huge amount of eating and drinking and I rolled right off my diet wagon. Been trying (and failing) to get back on for the last 6 months meantime clothes are getting tighter and tighter.

Flojo1979 · 05/08/2012 23:28

Oh we can be newbies together cat

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 05/08/2012 23:32

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 06/08/2012 06:32

Good morning, who's up for another Motivational Monday?
My DCs are off on PGL in about 1/2 hour, I've got a busy day at work, then off to crew a dress rehearsal.
I've persuaded DH that proper dinner before we start the dress rehearsal would be better that a kebab afterwards Shock.
DH was of the opinion that if we got a chicken tikka kebab, it would be "healthy", my point was that kebabs are enormous, and not compatible with weight loss. I doubt I could eat a whole one any more anyway.

sleepychunky · 06/08/2012 06:40

Morning inmy! I'm sitting here with both DSs up before 6.30, which is very annoying as I had considered doing a DVD for half an hour before they got up, but now I've been outnumbered and having to watch Little Einsteins.
I'm 2 days away from being on the diet wagon for 3 weeks, and 1lb away from losing a stone, so I'm really hoping that the next 2 days are good to me. I resisted booze, pavlova and chocolate cake over the weekend (although I did succumb to a few Maltesers) and worked up a sweat doing loads of cleaning yesterday.
Hope everyone else had a good weekend and let's stay on track on Motivational Monday!

chipsandmayonnaise · 06/08/2012 06:46

Good Morning all! Welcome Flo and Cats and hello Motivational Monday!
A stone in 3 weeks, sleepy? You star! That is incredible.

I am starting fresh again. I have reset my WW online county thingy so that today really IS a new start. My goals for this week;

  1. Earn 35 activity points (that is only 5 a day, should be possible)
  2. Not go over the 26
  3. Save the weeklies for this bloody wedding, and NOT GO OVER THEM!!!!!!

I made a huge pot of spinach and nutmeg soup that is developing nicely, so it will be soup and salad heavy this week.

Hope everyone has a great week, and talk later!

MilkshakeMaker · 06/08/2012 07:27

Well, I've done the deed and I'm still 11.12 so havnt lost this week, but I havnt put on either and its totm too so I'm actually pretty pleased as I did hate the world for half the week and stuffed my face to feel better.

So its MM and I'm ready to embrace la salad again, good luck to everyone

archareastie · 06/08/2012 08:55

Hi flo and cats I'm new here too Grin

chips I made a big batch of watercress soup yesterday so we can sip soup together Grin . Good luck with the weight waters week

milkshake glad you're pleased (ish) with weigh in

stealth wow only 700 kcals by after 8pm - how do you do it?!

Well, I spent most of yesterday being insatiably hungry but managed just about to stick in my calorie allowance (I think, although it's hard with MFP as I do alot of home cooking so it's not so accurate). I had half my lunch at 10:30 and half at 12:30 as I couldn't get through to lunch I was so hungry. I'm hoping my tummy starts getting used to small amounts to keep it full as once I get to that point it will get easier I hope

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 06/08/2012 09:19

Weigh day.

2 lbs officially gone. :)

Same think as last week though. I was this weight at mid week weigh in. Lost the 2 lbs between Mon and Thursday. No more since Confused

This week there will be no mid week falling on the scales ! and no roast dinners

MM here I come!!!

LollipopViolet · 06/08/2012 09:23

Good morning! Can't believe it's MM again already!

Well, stepped on the scales this morning, back under 13 stone!

12st 13lbs, so a loss of a pound! And this time, it's staying off!

Going to the gym this morning, then off into town to window shop for pretty things to wear when I'm thin :)

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 06/08/2012 09:29

Milkshake I maintained and it's TOTM for me too. I'm not that happy though. I thought I'd done well this week. :(

Well done Bonkey and Lollipop that's fantastic!! :)

Welcome Flo and Cats it's great here. Good luck with your weight loss.

Well another week, another effort. I will do better this week!!

chipsandmayonnaise · 06/08/2012 09:35

Well done everyone! I always think of maintaining at TOTM as a loss, as you get bloated. So I bet you all have a happy surprise next week!

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 06/08/2012 10:12

Why oh bloody why so they put poppers as buttons on things??

I have got into a small 14 skirt and can do it up....but the fecking popper keeps popping! If it was a button the all would be fine!!!! Angry

KatoPotato · 06/08/2012 11:00

Good morning and Happy MM...

It's a maintain. Again!

But this is good, I've done zero exercise since weds, been out drinking, had a Chinese takeaway and some chocolate tiffin, and lunch out with my Dad that included chips...

That's good yes? yes? please?

I will see 11!!!
