Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

HolofernesesHead - all of them! I too enjoy Pepsi a bit too much, but thought it'd be easier just to cut all of them out.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 03/08/2012 06:43

Happy moment this morning, I found I can take off my jeans with the button still done upGrinGrin.
They always were a bit loose on the waist, but I must have lost some hips too. That's really made my morningSmile. I'm definitely wearing my belt today thoughBlush.

whyme2 · 03/08/2012 06:52

Oh yes - don't forget the belt Wink

Well for me yesterday was not so good, ate random rubbish at random intervals during the day and had a glass of cider. I spent the whole day unpacking our stuff into our new house and there is still so much to do.
But the scales were kind to me this morning as I am a pound down on last week so I need to renew my effort.
Once I get this house sorted I can start doing some proper exercise again. I found my Shred and Davinia dvds yesterday. Just need to find my sports bra!

Anyone inspire me with some healthy breakfasts? Not like the three buttered crumpets I managed yesterday Blush

StealthPolarBear · 03/08/2012 07:21

I often have a single egg omellete with 3 mushrooms (any more and they don't fit in the omellete!) in fry light for breakfast. Belvita biscuits when I'm away - although this week I had the kelloggs ones (cereal and milk) and they were really nice! They are also slightly fewer calories.

Anyway, I weighed myself again this morning and appear to have lost 2lb since yesterday! Confused (Think I might move weigh in day to Friday as it seems to take a day for the weight loss to register). Importantly to me though - I now have a BMI in the normal range! This is the first time in years I have not been overweight.

Oh well done ladies. I've crept a pound back on (buggeration) but feel motivated and reckon its gonna be a good day. Suns out, picnic planned Smile

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 03/08/2012 07:24

Whyme do you like muesli? I eat a muesli with almonds, raisins and coconut. It works out about 400 calories Shock but keeps me full until lunchtime so I don't snack or feel hungry.
How about eggs, or if you do want crumpets, soft cheese instead of butter.

StealthPolarBear · 03/08/2012 07:25

and according to MFP I have lost 20lb since May. If I can keep that up I will be in a size 10 by Christmas.
Right, well it's my day off but am definitely motivated now to keep it up a bit better - might even calorie count but allow myself 1800 or 2000. I have to do this, I owe it to myself to know what it's like to be a size 10 (I remember being a size 10 for a brief period in the late 90s, don't think it lasted very long).

Oh and I have been through my clothes and got rid of the last few bits that are too big for me. That includes underwear (tho I am such a slattern that I've kept the 16s and 18s for one last wear then I'll throw them straight out :o) NO GOING BACK

Congratulations Stealth on your normal bmi.

Might try the mushroom omelette idea today. Smile

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 03/08/2012 07:41

It was get fit and feel fab friday last week, same again?

sassytheFIRST · 03/08/2012 07:43

For me it's Focus on the Future Friday as I could easily get derailed but I don't want to.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 03/08/2012 07:44

Ooh, I like Sassy's idea.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 03/08/2012 07:46

Yes same again for me especially as you're making me go swimming. Grin

I warn you the a half hour walk for you is a 45min stroll with ds2. What time do you want to go?

Surely it's too early for breakfast? What time do you all get up? I've been up since about 6.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 03/08/2012 08:14

TheOne 1pm, swimming cossies on under clothes if poss.
I got up about 6.20, but I've hung out the washing, played on the wii etc and answered the door to a random DCGrin who wanted a chat. Just finished breakfast now though.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 03/08/2012 08:26

Sorry about random dd. she's missed your dd so much.

Sorry about the thread hijack but my 8yr old dd is home after being away with my parents for 10 days. I missed her so much. Happy morning!! :)

HolofernesesHead · 03/08/2012 09:08

Stealth, congratulations on your weight loss! That's amazing, and inspirational to me at the start of all this. I watched the Hairy Dieters last night - did anyone else see it? - and liked their approach. Have a good day!

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 03/08/2012 09:55

I am going to iplayer it later. It looks good. I hope it will give me a bit of inspiration over what to cook.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 03/08/2012 10:21

My DCs are fighting over cleaning the house, they don't realise they could get loads more done (and get a lot more jobs money) if they helped each other.
I didn't lose any weight today, I should stop weighing daily, but I enjoy the wii, and want to get my mii looking less "spare tyre" and more like how I really look.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 03/08/2012 11:59

I just had a yummy lunch, tagliatelle with homemade homous, courgette and feta.
I may nap now...

StealthPolarBear · 03/08/2012 12:03

What on earth are the hairy dieters??
I am feeling very motivated - managed to get back to shred earlier. But just heard our CM is stopping as of now :( so stressing over September, and even thinking as drastically as moving house and schools for the DC. But we'll see.
I am going to have cake later - I made this cake ages ago and it needs eating. But if it's dry and nsty I will not force it down because it is cake - if it's horrible I will throw it out

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 03/08/2012 12:13

The hairy dieters are the hairy bikers but they've been told to lose weight so are going round the country in a bid to find tasty low fat/calorie meals. Should be interesting.

Stealth you WILL throw the cake away if it's yuk because it's not worth it otherwise!

StealthPolarBear · 03/08/2012 12:21

ah that makes sense.
Yes, difference is I would have persevered before because it was a 'treat'. But if I'm not enjoying it, in the bin it will (all) go. DH usually eats it all in one go (almost) - I was amazed to get back on Wednesday and there still be some left

littlemissstan · 03/08/2012 13:58

Stealth well done you on your normality :) You're an inspiration!
I've done ok all week, but we're on holiday as of tomorrow so we shall see...

StealthPolarBear · 03/08/2012 14:10

I am no inspiration, just eaten a slab of chocolate AND cake
Still, was yummy

Hello everyone. I've been spotting your thread and having little lurks occasionally for a while and wondered if I could join in? Only thing is sadly I'm far from a size 16 and size 10 seems a bit of a dream, but I have minimum 3 stone to lose, ideally more like 5 stone. Since January I've lost a stone but the past couple of weeks I've really started ramping it up with going to the gym and reducing my food intake carefully. Nothing faddy just trying to do sustainable healthy things. I've got my weigh in at the gym tomorrow to see how I've done in the past 2 weeks but I'd really like some mn support to get me through. I put on a fair few stone Blush when pg and now DD is 17 months I really need to shed the baby weight and feel good about myself again.
