Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

Hi arch :o I think the size 16 to size 10 thing was just Milkshake's original plan for herself (where is she btw?) and the rest of us are varying shapes and sizes :) I'd love to be a ten, but tbh if I settle at a 12 I'll also be very happy. Well done on losing a stone and good luck for tomorrow.

Thanks stealth . I think I've lost a few pounds in the past couple of weeks but have not done very well today - think I went a bit manic at the gym as worked myself really hard and then went really queasy and shaky and then ate a ton too much as it felt like my blood sugar was really low. I'd be happy with size 16 tbh - I have loads of lovely pretty dresses I wore pre preg which are all size 16 but now I'm more like a 20/22. I've lost over 2 stone in the past so I know I can do it Grin .

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 03/08/2012 16:36

Hi all and newbies :)

I am having a I feel fat day. I just woke up this morning and thought 'urgh' when I looked in the mirror.

TMI ALERT I seem to have had problems with rather loose bowels (get me being polite Wink ) since i have started eating better, more so in the last week. Stomach feels really dodgy today for some reason but I can't pin it on any food Confused . Although I have had a few activia yoghurts, would they make it worse?
I wonder if its all the salad?
Although weirdly, whenever i have dieted before I have had the opposite problem

Burgers for tea and i am going to treat myself to a roll as i am under cals today
by a mile.

Well done Stealth on getting your BMI down. :)

arch sounds like your on the right track, are you drinking enough? (wonders how many times I have typed that on this thread Grin )

archareastie · 03/08/2012 17:01

bonkey I had weird bowels Blush from IBS and I find if I take probiotics they either plug me up or, erm, give me the opposite problem. Isn't activia a probiotic yoghurt? I'd be tempted to say it was that. I'm still feeling all shaky after this mornings gym exertion Confused and I've been hungry all day despite eating OK. Have been trying to fill up on rice cakes but they just don't do it. I have had issues with headaches from not drinking enough recently bonkey but past couple of days or so I've been better. Thing is, I drink alot - maybe 5 litres a day minimum Shock - and if I drink less I genuinely get thirsty and dehydrated - I wonder if the more you drink the more you need.

Anyway, best go as I've got tummy ache from hunger so need to get something in the oven!

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 03/08/2012 17:11

Just got back from swimming, put the swim and walking there and back into MFP (around 600 calories all told), and I'm in negative calories so far.
I may upgrade my cauliflower bake to cauliflower cheese, and have a beer laterGrin.
The DCs had a bag of cashews each on the way home, I resisted as I know how salty and moreish they are, and it was nearly dinner time anyway.
I did 16 widths of the pool, reasonably fast too, and plenty of treading water when I couldn't reach the bottom in most of the pool
I am really tired now though.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 03/08/2012 17:19

Hi Arch, wow 5 litres. That's a huge amount. Welcome btw. I have no idea if that's too much or not. I know I don't drink enough but I do have at least a litre.

You sound like you know how to get where you're going and we can offer support along the way.

I enjoyed my whim too and worked off yesterday's pork pie. Grin
I've been really good today so I'm hopeful for an ok result on Monday. Yay.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 03/08/2012 17:21

Sorry forgot. Bonkey I had one actimel and it set off my bowls. I can't help but think it wasn't a bad thing though. Just inconvenient

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 03/08/2012 17:21

Bowels not bowls. Blush

LollipopViolet · 03/08/2012 17:24

Well, a pretty good day. I could've eaten better, but, still no fizzy pop, and I walked an estimated 5k today, some of it while pushing my friend's ds in his pram. I am very tired!

On the plus side, my little ipod shuffle has arrived, so I don't have to use my phone as a music player at the gym any more! :)

It's tiny, and pink, and clips onto my trousers or shirt, I loooove it!

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 03/08/2012 17:25

Maybe its the actimel then. I don't think I will keep having them on a regular basis unless its needed. Grin

Inconvenience is the thing! Blush
and the fact I can't 'go' anywhere but home

arch 5 litres??? Shock

KatoPotato · 03/08/2012 17:52

Hey guys! Stranger danger it's Kato!

Welcome to all the new champs, and well done to all success stories too! (I'll catch up proper soon!)

Not a lot to report here... Scale refuses to go below 12, keeps teasing me by flashing 11 13... Bah!

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 03/08/2012 18:52

Oh balls :(

My one bread roll turned into three! Shock Blush

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 03/08/2012 19:18

Grin @ Bonkey. I might have to adopt "Oh balls*. great phrase.

Well dh is going out so no pressure to eat properly. We have very different ideas about what that means and refuses to accept that I can't and shouldn't eat the same size portions as him. Think I'll have a prawn salad.

Kato keep going. They'll drop permanently soon. :)

greenwichgroove · 03/08/2012 19:21

Marks Place, Ive gone from a size 8 to a 16 in three years (post hysterectomy), I NEED your help!

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 03/08/2012 19:25

Hi greenwich you'll get back there, gradual and permanent weight loss is far better than crash dieting, we're about chipping away at those pounds and inches, and making sure once they're gone they're not coming back ever.

sleepychunky · 03/08/2012 20:25

Hi everyone, just checking in. Welcome to greenwich - we will help you! Hi too arch - we're all very nice here (well that's what I've found in the last 2 weeks - everybody is so positive).
I've had a good day today although was slightly put off my plans when DH suggested we took the kids out for dinner. Ended up in a local pub where they all had scampi and chips or fish and chips. I had salmon fishcakes and a salad, and no pudding or beer, and felt very virtuous (although I tried to sneak a couple of chips off DS2's plate but he wasn't having any of it). I don't think fishcakes are too bad, are they? I only had less than 300 calories today before that, so think I will be fine within my limit.
Now sitting watching Andy Murray in the Olympic tennis - I was going to do one of my DVDs tonight but I can't not watch the Olympics...

MilkshakeMaker · 03/08/2012 20:36

waves I'm over here!

Size 10 was my original plan...now its more like just dont get worse.. Blush

StealthPolarBear · 03/08/2012 20:46

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 03/08/2012 20:46

Hi greenwich and Milkshake Grin

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 03/08/2012 21:27

Right Milkshake you were the one who got me going with your first non-judgemental thread so don't give up. Look how many you have inspired.

Remember how determined you were when you started it? You need to get that feeling back.

You will get there.

MilkshakeMaker · 03/08/2012 21:33

Well done on getting a 'normal' on your bmi stealth. I've just been on the nhs website and i'm on the very large end of 'overweight' which is, well. crap!!

LollipopViolet · 03/08/2012 21:36

I'm doing a spinning class tomorrow! Grin

I have to be there for 9am Then I'm going to do my normal workout, because I'm sooooo determined that this weight will come off!

StealthPolarBear · 03/08/2012 21:36

So what are you going to do about it? You could always start a new thread, reclaim some motivation.
Size 16 to size 10 no excuses, no slacking (well, a bit of slacking). We're here to keep you on the straight and narrow.

Btw i suspect ill have crept back into overweight ove the course of today! Never mind, tomorrow is another day!

OP posts:
BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 03/08/2012 21:38

Milkshake Its crap but you CAN do something about it.

I am classed as 'Overweight' with a BMI of 28.68. It was nearly 30 a few weeks ago.

Don't feel bad, feel positive!

Think 'this is the last time my BMI/weight will ever be that high' !

StealthPolarBear · 03/08/2012 21:40

You could easily be a stone lighter by the time the Christmas season comes round
