Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

Oh-x-posted with Oblomov That really is a lovely dress, and you look beautiful in it! I love the colour of it- it is very elegant.

What a lovely family you have, Oblomov.

StealthPolarBear · 01/08/2012 07:58

You do look lovely, and you have beautiful children :)
Chips, good resolutions!

Yes- well, we will see. :) I do a good line in self sabotage.

After the wedding I plan to eat a more rounded, healthy diet, and not try and crash diet as I have been doing. That is not sustainable.

Oblomov that dress really is lovely, and I have a very similar body shape to you. Do you mind telling me where you got it?

LollipopViolet · 01/08/2012 10:00

Hello! I'm sooooo close to losing a pound. My scales keep dipping down to 12st 13 then popping back up to 13, so maybe by tomorrow it'll stay put at 12st 13, and maybe by Monday, if I'm good food and exercise wise, it'll be down to 12st 12, or less!

Come on weight, I've got 5 weeks til Prague, go down already!

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 01/08/2012 13:48

Hello :)

I have just got back from a kids party and am rather chuffed. I didn't eat any party food and only had a pitiful slither of cake (to be polite Wink )

Oblomov Thats a fab dress, and what a lovely family you have :)

whyme I hate moving house. Theres always so much to do. have a good day off today.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 01/08/2012 13:58

I've been adjudicating my DCs (and several waifs and strays) having a pseudo olympics. I joined in the "round the block cycle relay and even though I was on the road and they were on the pavement, I beat them all by a fair marginSmile. Beating my DS was a proud moment for me, because he is fast by anyone's standards, and my old lady bike only has 3 gears.

TheLightPassenger · 01/08/2012 16:42

Lovely dress Oblomov, shows off your assets nicely Wink

still plateauing on 12 stone 3, eating OK but not doing enough exercise.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 01/08/2012 17:08

Well I just booked our holiday. A week in Spain. I have a two week countdown to lose as much as possible. :)

AphraBehn · 01/08/2012 19:07

ade it to the gym today, did 50 minutes cardio and worked up a sweat. Really enjoyed it as well.
Weighed myself at gym, haven't gained any weight in last month so that's a bonus. Would like to lose 7lbs minimum by 1st September.
Started using MFP again to track what I'm eating as well.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 01/08/2012 20:04

Well done AphraBehn. 7lbs sounds very reasonable to me. :)

LollipopViolet · 01/08/2012 21:36

I survived a day without fizzy drinks. Tomorrow I shall do the same.

Off to the gym tomorrow too, myself and DBoyfriend are celebrating 9 months together tomorrow so we might go for a nice walk or a meal somewhere.

AphraBehn · 01/08/2012 22:28

Thanks theone. It does sound reasonable, whether I can actually do it is another matter Blush.

Oblomov · 02/08/2012 05:52

Thanks for all the lovely comments.
Chips and mayo, the dress is from Hobbs. Now £49 in the sale. I have just checked for you, and they only have sizes 16 or 12 left. I bought a 14, had it nipped in at the waist, and it was a perfect fit.

Just weighed. Havent weighed for ages. Still same - 10 10 1/4. So atleast I haven't gained. Will try and get back into mode.
I have been loving all your ' wibble Wednesdays ' etc.
Over the last 2 weeks, I haven't been that bad. I didn't even Drink any wine on the Sunday. And we had bought 6 whites and 6 rose.
So now I have 15 bottles of wine to drink, in the house !!
And we are going on holiday this sat. Down to our caravan in Dorset. Where dh will BBQ steak and salad, and drink a bottle of wine most nights.
But this year, for the first time, friends are coming down for 4 of our nights. And they are lovely. And she and I will drinks bottle of rose per night.
Oh dear,what shall I do?

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 02/08/2012 06:43

When me & DH have a bottle of wine, I drink it really slowly so I drink 1/3 and he drinks 2/3, or get schloer instead.
I have found people are far less offended than you think they'll be when you say "no thanks" to refills and seconds.
Also, drink plenty of water to stave off hangovers, and you don't waste a morning feeling awful and comfort eating

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 02/08/2012 07:36

I'm feeling a bit rubbish today, a combo of TOTM and a streaming cold. It feels like I've blown at least 1lb of goo out of my nose, I surely must have lost weight? Can't summon the energy to stand on the scales, maybe later.
The DCs are scrubbing the house around me, to earn money for sweets when they're away on PGL next week. I'm tired just watching them.

StealthPolarBear · 02/08/2012 07:48

Oblomov you will be on holiday so I'd say cut yourself some slack and enjoy it as long as you don't blow it long term and you personally don't feel bad about it (I love having a night off but hate myself for a binge iyswim). Barbecue steak and salad sounds like perfect diet food to me!

Well I've just weighed and I'm 12st dead on. Good, because I've lost but I was really hoping to see an 11st...

So it's Think Thin Thursday and I have been thinking about Christmas (sorry). This Christmas I want to be going to family/friend/work Christmas dos and meetups wearing something fantastic that I have chosen to wear (not the least worst of the stuff that fits me - and I never wanted to spend too much money on it either). I want to feel totally comfortable, and not like the "fat one" in the group. I want to be able to do things with the kids without having to take my weight into account.
I can do it! I have 4 or 5 months to lose 2 stone, although anything I can lose in that time will be fantastic. But I should be able to do 6lb a month!

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 02/08/2012 07:49

:( Bolt hope you're feeling better soon.

OP posts:
chipsandmayonnaise · 02/08/2012 08:16

morning all.

Thanks Oblomov. I LOVE Hobbs, and Hobbs on sale is even better! I will check that out!

I am feeling very down today. Have gone up a couple of pounds, and am wondering why- when I gave myself essentially 12 months to lose two stone I have not managed it. (I have lost 10 pounds though). I feel very low. I am about to go out for a 30 minute walk though and will give myself a talking to. I feel like I will never be able to get my bingeing under control.

So today I plan to not make any promises about 'only having soup' or whatever, and shall stick to my 26 points and will try and get to zumba tonight. I 'officially' do not weigh in until tomorrow, so maybe today is a glitch.

I hope everyone has a good day.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 02/08/2012 08:38

Morning everyone. Another thank you from me. Everyday when I check this thread you all give me so much determination to keep going. I know for a fact I wouldn't stick with it otherwise.

Steak and salad sounds good to me. I think it's ok to relax a bit on holiday or you'll end up having a sad time or getting fed up and having a massive binge. I hope you have a lovely time Oblomov.

IMST if the dcs are occupied can you go back to bed for a bit?

StealthPolarBear · 02/08/2012 09:05

anyone fancy sharing meals for the day?

Breakfast: mushroom omellette
Lunch: ryvita, houmous, celery
Dinner: vegi sausages & half tin of beans
Snacks: Apple
Other snacks: Anyone's guess!

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 02/08/2012 09:06

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 02/08/2012 09:08

I put on a nice dress to make me feel thinner better, opened all the windows to let in lots of fresh air, and sent the DCs to find the floors in their rooms for half an hour. Wii fit says I'm now 13st 3lb so all the nose blowing must have done the trick. I feel a bit more human now I'm dressed and had breakfast, my eyes are still all puffy, I can live with that though.
DS is cooking meatballs tonight, I'm looking forward to that.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 02/08/2012 09:13

Breakfast: muesli
Lunch: probably homemade sweet potato wedges with roasted borlotti beans
Dinner: spaghetti & meatballs cooked by DS.
I don't do much in the way of snacks, perhaps a handful of blueberries from the garden or some raspberries if they're still going.
Oh, and many, many cups of black teaGrin.

chipsandmayonnaise · 02/08/2012 09:17

Bk- ryvitas, thin ham, sliced tomatoes, cup of veg soup.
snk- banana
lunch - veg soup, ryvitas sliced cucumbers and boiled egg
dinner- venison burgers (no chips)

lots of black coffee and diet tonic water!

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 02/08/2012 09:17

MFP keeps telling me off for inadequate calories, but I seem to be eating more than others (can't stand ryvita, and just a salad wouldn't get me through the afternoon). Does it tell everyone else off too?
