Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

I wonder how many of the Olympic athletes have "obese" BMIs.

sassytheFIRST · 31/07/2012 18:49

Male weightlifter or male footballer (team GB but I've never heard of him).

Just eaten 2 bags of crisps. Gah.

chipsandmayonnaise · 31/07/2012 19:25

2 bags of crisps good when you are flu-y Sassy. You will have lost alot of fluid from sweating and will need the salt to rebalance.

[nods head with authority]

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 31/07/2012 19:28

I'm with chips on this one.

Once i got my appetite back after flu, I could not stop craving salt. I almost wanted to lick it off a fork. Grin

Get some down you now!

sleepychunky · 31/07/2012 20:15

Hi all, I don't want to tell you who I am on the Olympic scale except that they are male and not a sport which involves 6-packs...
Have been really good today because of weigh-in tomorrow - after an 8lb loss last week I'd be really happy with 2 this week, which is my aim. DH has gone out to get a Domino's for his tea and I resisted getting one as well, even though it would have been free as it's Tuesday. Settled for grilled chicken breast, scrambled egg and broccoli instead. Slightly bizzare combination but it was very nice and quick to do.
sassy crisps are good

TheLightPassenger · 31/07/2012 20:22

sleepychunky · 01/08/2012 06:47

Good morning everyone! Is it No Wibble Wednesday today? I've just weighed in and I've lost 3lb this week, so 11lb in 2 weeks Smile Would love to do another 3 this week to make the first stone.

StealthPolarBear · 01/08/2012 06:57

Sleepychunky that's brilliant! Do not wobble and before you know it it will be a stone!

Good morning everyone, good to see you have all been keeping the faith while I have been moving house. And I've managed to be pretty good with my diet apart from some chips on Monday eve after the first big move day and chips are compulsory on house moving day I am reliably informed (by my 8 year old).

Still not near enough to the 16 though but I am determined to under 16stone by the end of August.

Today we are going on a picnic/walk so I am packing a healthy picnic for me and I am going to exhaust the dcs too!

StealthPolarBear · 01/08/2012 07:02

Wow whyme, that sounds exhausting! And yes, on move day you eat something quick and easy! Did the move go ok?

Just posting to keep my place on the thread.

StealthPolarBear · 01/08/2012 07:08

How are you doing oblomov?

OP posts:
IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 01/08/2012 07:09

DH got home yesterday with a load of short dated cake that he'd found in the scout hut, left over from a recent scout camp. He put them all on the table in front of me while he drank a beer and ate a few.
I asked him to put them away and take them to work with him this morning, so we have no cake in the house again.
I'm starting to realise how habitual and excessive my cake consumption was.

sleepychunky · 01/08/2012 07:15

InMySpareTime that's like me - DH ate all the biscuits which we had in the house yesterday so that there was nothing for me to eat, even if I wanted to. We still have some little bits and pieces for the children but I can't steal from the mouths of babes, can I?????

Oblomov · 01/08/2012 07:28

so-so Stealth. But I really appreciate that you have asked. Am having a bit of a tough time at the moment.
Have added a photo, temporarily. You will see that despite my no weight loss, I still had a lovely time at ds1's holy communion - which was the whole objective, and dh said I looked "fantastic in my dress, shows off all your lovely curves" = good enough for me, despite zero weight loss.

whyme2 · 01/08/2012 07:31

Well everything is in the new house but not necessarily in the right place Grin
All the bags of clothes are piled in the upstairs bathroom. We are one child bed short as it broke so dh is going to make another at the weekend. And our wardrobe won't be with us for about 3 weeks.
We are fortunate as we can stay in our current place for another couple of weeks if we need to while we get the new house ready.

But today I am ignoring it all and going out with the dcs today despite the rain and my house being half unpacked.

whyme2 · 01/08/2012 07:33

sleepy no stealing from the children. I buy treats in packs of four or eight as I have four dcs so I know I can't eat just one then. Of course when this fails I eat all four Blush not often but I can't deny it has occurred in the past.

chipsandmayonnaise · 01/08/2012 07:34

Morning all.

No Wibble Wednesday.

I am bolding that for me. Last week I had my super off the rails wibble wednesday and it derailed me for the entire week, really. Had a sneaky mid-week weigh in and I am 2 pounds up.

Right. My resolution for today;

  1. Stick to the 26 points
  2. no alcohol (Last night I had my soup and ryvitas, then a glass of wine then a hotdog!)
  3. spinning class tonight- no excuses.

I have a last push before the wedding. If I am anything under 10 stone 7- maybe even in the region of 10 stone 5 I will be content.

Well done to everyone who is doing well. :) Oblomov how are you?

whyme2 · 01/08/2012 07:35

Oblomov you do look fab in that dress.
