Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

Urgh. Just Urgh.

Remember I had lost 2lbs and was 12stone on Thurs... Well that's gone and I'm 12 2... again!! again!

I've been so blimmin good, how couls I lose after the fricking munchy box last week, do nothing but excercise and eat well and under my cals??? and I've maintained/gained??

Raging.

sorry, hope everyone is well.

StealthPolarBear · 30/07/2012 11:15

Kato :( how disheartening. This happens. Your body is doing strange things to trick you. You're in charge. Your weight will fluctuate, but stick with it and the overall trend will be down. I've been there so often- eat Crap and maintain then really try and somehow put on a pound or two. It's so bloody annoying.

Kato, my weight goes up and down, down and up. Check your clothes, it's much better indicator! Keep it up, I know it's easy to advice, I too get upset when I see the figures on my scales not to my liking. That's why support is so important, we can help each other and be happy for each other when everything goes well too. Wishing everyone good luck!!!

ssmile · 30/07/2012 12:52

thank you for the support stealth & theone & sassy

Right despite the Crap sleep, 5am start, sobbing DD1 at holiday camp, period cramps and consuming 900calories by 10am Blush I have just cycled for an hour with baby on back along beautiful path and knocked 450c off :) feeling better about myself and going to spend rest of afternoon sitting with a hot wheatie bag on tum watching Olympics whilst baby climbs all over me, until time to collect DD1.

How is the shred going egg?

StealthPolarBear · 30/07/2012 12:54

Well done! And ahh at dd1

Today a DC brought in cake from her birthday last week, I had to hand it round the DCs, then clean the room with the "spare" pieces sitting in a Tupperware on the side. I even offered them round the staff but nobody wanted them. I still didn't eat any. I think I am largely over my cake obsession [wishful thinking emoticon].
I am now sitting opposite a colleague who is eating chips& gravy and a battered chicken burger. That's not a willpower test at all, but the smell of it is turning my stomachSad.
On a completely different note, I recognised one of my nursery parents on another thread, I will have to step away from the thread now, as I'm too close to the situation. I hate it when that happens, I like the anonymity of MN, offering general advice from outside situations. Ah well, it's a hazard of working with that many families, they're bound to turn up on here sometimes.

sassytheFIRST · 30/07/2012 14:00

Just eaten 2 slices of buttered toast and a small tin of beans. Bit naughty but it was delicious. Worked off 300ish cals in gym this morning so it's all ok.

StealthPolarBear · 30/07/2012 14:03

Oh bolt can't you name change? We'll miss you. I do know how you feel as something similar has happened to me.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 30/07/2012 14:06

Shock IMST did they recognise you?

Kato stick with it. It will come off in the end. :(

slothprincess · 30/07/2012 14:17

Happy MM everyone. I've lost a pound this week (but weighing after, ahem, the "call of nature" if you know what I mean). I'm pleased it's a loss. I had gone loads over my fat and calories on Saturday while I was out at the olympics. Didn't go crazy eating the wrong things except one very delicious icecream but just ate a lot of food I think.

I do think I need to actually do some regular exercise, but I'm being so lazy and rubbish. I was planning on using the power of motivational monday to spur me on this morning, but I had the most awful night with the baby and am completely exhausted today. ssmile, glad you've managed to turn the day around after a rubbish start. I dragged myself out to a group earlier and felt better for it, even though I didn't really fancy it.

Kato, my weight seems to really fluctuate and there's often no apparant reason I can see. Keep at it. You'll soon be in the 11s.

Welcome new losers and hello old friends :)

LollipopViolet · 30/07/2012 14:20

Well, 300 and something calories burned at the gym, and a WW pasta pot consumed for lunch, as well as 2 mini protein bars :) Still got lots of cals to play with today, but hoping to not need all of them for my dinner :)

I ache, and can lift nothing heavier than a sheet of paper. Must've been a good workout!

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 30/07/2012 15:18

Shock IMST
Can you not name change and pm to let us know who you are?

Well done Lollipop and ssmile :)

I have just bought some quorn peppered steaks to try with a salad tonight. 115cals each. I need to mix it up a bit, I'm getting sick of chicken.

So far so good today, if I can stick to the plan I should come in 200 under today, which hopefully should make up a tad for yesterday.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 30/07/2012 18:38

They didn't recognise me, I am careful never to put identifying details for that very reason.
My advice would have been the same had she approached me in person though, so I'm not bothered (and I'm not my usual username anyway, in a couple of weeks I'll be back to IMST so no biggie).
Today was a good day, my weigh in is tomorrow, my clothes feel looser though, and my chin wobbles are much reduced.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 30/07/2012 18:43

That's a bit of a relief IMST.

The question now is whether you learned anything about her that you didn't want to know. Grin

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 30/07/2012 19:37

Only that parents actually read the reports we spend ages writingGrin.
I get on pretty well with the nursery parents anyway, and the DCs tell me all the secretsBlush. I know who's had a manicure/haircut/new TV/new underwear, and whose daddy made a big loud stinky in the toilet this morning.
There's not much I could find out on here that I won't have been told by the DCs (take note, all parents of young children, they tell key workers everything Grin)

LollipopViolet · 30/07/2012 19:56

Hmm, only had 100 calories left after dinner. It's probably good, to be faire, not having around 300-400 left - maybe that'll help move this weight a bit quicker.

Now, do I go to the gym tomorrow? I think I probably will :)

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 30/07/2012 19:57

IMST My friend did work experience in a nursery and one of the kids used to shout 'Oh the bloody phone' when the phone rang Grin .

I dread to think what ds has said about us Blush . Good job he's off to school in sep Wink .

I had quorn steak salad for tea. Yoghurt for pud.
I have planned tomorrow again so hopefully I am back on track :) .

LollipopViolet · 30/07/2012 19:58

Ooops, got that a bit wrong.

I actually have 25 calories left.

Must stop parents buying pies for dinner...

marriedinwhite · 30/07/2012 20:04

Last, last post. The actual ww weigh in was down 1lb not 1.5lb but that's OK even though I have been more good and exercised more this week than any other (I blame it on hitting day 25 of my HRT tablets Sad Blush Confused).

My first meal in France (after the aire de bries) is going to be moules frites with crusty French bread to make sure every dollop of sauce goes into my tummy, washed down with 1/2 a carafe of something white and dry -a really minerally muscadet would do mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. And then I am going to be good, sooooooooo very good. A little bit of chilled rose, a little bit of foie gras, a little bit of creme patisserie, a little bit of pissaladiere, a little bit of croque monsieur, a little bit of heaven - oh shit Grin.

And IMST - my dc are teenagers and they keep secrets - otherwise there is no money Grin

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 30/07/2012 20:13

married I did say young children, even mine know when to keep schtumGrin.

marriedinwhite · 30/07/2012 20:23

Oh yes, IMST, I remember when the nursery leader told me with a straight face that the chip on [MIL'] Grandma's shoulder might be shifted with a pick axe. I also remember when she told me how easy dd was and what a wicked sense of humour she had and then very quietly "you can always tell which ones have normal parents" Wink.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 30/07/2012 20:32

I don't believe there is such a thing as a "normal parent", they're all a bit odd when you scratch the surface (or chat with their toddler).
I really should do a stint on the Wii this evening, but you lot keep being interestingGrin.

sassytheFIRST · 30/07/2012 21:07

Lying in bed trying not to puke. Thanks dd for the gut bug I think you may so generously have passed on.

Might lose a pound or two tho!

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 30/07/2012 21:09

Every cloud.... Grin

I lost 6lbs in a week when I had the flu.

TheOneWithTheGoldMedals · 30/07/2012 21:20

Well I had steak and salad with a very small jacket potato. Dh didn't complain. He even cooked the steak. Grin

Will go and log it and see how I've done today.
