Rules of Motivational Monday:
The weekend is the past. You start from now. If not, you'll end up here in a couple of weeks and a few pounds heavier so do it NOW
MM involves healthy eating and some exercise. Your excuses will not be tolerated here.
MM is when we all get back into control and back into the swing of things.
Welcome all and best of luck. :)

Hi girls. Healthy eating here, mostly, apart from Champagne and Doritos yesterday for Open Ceremony... Good day today though but no work out due to pain. I know, fat excuse... How are you all?

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 28/07/2012 20:26

Evening all, I'm under cals today and all I have done is pick Hmm .
Not to sure if thats good or bad.

Well done everyone, sounds like your doing well! :)

marriedinwhite · 28/07/2012 20:37

I am being good(ish) but have hit a plateau. With 1/2 bottle of prosecco have had 27 points today but I earned 2 activity points to offset against that. I want another glass of prosecco but I'm not having it. Am hoping that a light breakfast and a 2o'clockish roast lamb lunch tomorrow (no more) and then hardly anything on Monday and a long long walk will result in a loss of at least 1/2lb on Monday weigh in. Then we are away for two and a half weeks and am hoping to just not gain on holiday. Fingers crossed.

sleepychunky · 28/07/2012 21:25

Hi everyone, been watching the Olympics as much as possible today whilst also trying to deal with 2 argumentative DSs and an 85-year old very deaf grandad - it's been a struggle!
I've been really good today and actually too busy to eat. It's really funny, but 2 weeks ago before I got going with this diet/MFP/new way of thinking I would have picked loads at the boys' food if they left any, had a cake in the cafe at the garden centre where we went this morning etc. I really haven't found it hard not to do that, which is what I actually thought would be one of the most difficult things. I think that MFP has a lot to do with it as my food diary is open to friends and I don't want people to see those kinds of things, but I think I have managed to get into the mindset of just not snacking at all. Having said that, I had over 600cals left after logging all my meals today so I am tempted to treat myself with a few Pringles as I am really craving some salt!

whyme2 · 29/07/2012 06:53

Hi all,

I am feeling quite positive despite it being the weekend. Yesterday was good, dippy egg for breakfast, lunch was salad sandwich and tea was a homemade burger with salad and a small slice of chocolate and banana cake. yum.

Did have a glass of lager in the evening but only one this week which is pretty good for me. We also took a little walk with the kids to the park so had a stroll.

will be busy the next few days as we finally have the keys to our new house so there is lots of furniture shifting and box moving to be done.

Lollipop I am impressed, that takes some will power.

friendly hope you feel better soon. I think the food you chose is more important than the exercise so you should be ok.

chipsandmayonnaise · 29/07/2012 07:22

Boing!

Good Morning all! Chips checking in. I have no idea why I feel so bouncy, I stuffed myself silly last night on roast chicken, and i had a potato, AND chocolate cake with double cream!!! (And half a bottle of cava).

Never mind- it was yum, and I am back on things today. Next weigh in is Wednesday- so I shall be alcohol-free until then and back on ryvitas. Making a huge veg soup as well. Feeling good!

I modelled my 3 possible dresses I can wear to the wedding on the 12th to my friends for their honest input. Amazingly- with the aid of my suckey-in spanx they all fit, and even could be said to look quite respectable.

Hope everyone has a good day!

MilkshakeMaker · 29/07/2012 08:12

Well its been almost a week since I last posted, I've stayed with my parents for last few days with a broken phone and no laptop, so been a verrrry long week!

I have skim read from where I left off so well done to everyone and welcome to everyone new!

Its been really hard staying on track as wasnt me cooking but i've resisted all puddings and snacks, gone on lots of walks and swimming with ds (not that I would have burned anything as I dont actually get to swim) so i'm hoping tomorrows WI is a good one.

Last day to make a difference to the scales... Lets do it! Good Luck!

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 29/07/2012 08:12

Good morningSmile
I still somehow came in under calories, despite a cheese and bread laden buffet, due to 2 hours ceilidh dancing.
I had a major willpower test though, my table was right next to the chocolate fountain. The smell was delicious, but I didn't eat any.

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 29/07/2012 08:49

Morning, I feel horribly hormonal. :(
Last night I just wanted to shove my face full of bread. I went to bed early instead :(
Today is going to be tough. Dh has a works party to go to tonight so I am home alone. Normally when I am home alone in the evening I treat my self to a nice dinner and pud and secretly stuff my face. Confused I am just going to have to bolt the cupboards somehow.

IMST Impressive willpower on the chocolate fountain! :)

Milkshake Well done on keeping it together. Its so hard when your not at home isn't it, good luck for tomorrow!

Chips Everyone needs a break now and again. Good for you for getting straight back to it :)
Can I have some of your bounces please? Grin

Keep it up everyone!

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 29/07/2012 09:11

Bonkey a nice meal and pud doesn't need to be a disaster, spicy grilled veg and lemon sorbet would be nice, yet low in calories.
How about watching a soppy film your DH doesn't really enjoy, or having a long bubbly soak in the bath. That kind of thing always cheers me up when I'm feeling hormonal.
I am limited in my exercise today as I danced too much last night and my ankle really hurtsSad. I'm hobbling like an old lady this morning. Ah well, hopefully resting this morning will sort it and I'll be back on my feet later, I hate staying in one place for any length of time.

LollipopViolet · 29/07/2012 11:25

I used my willpower, yet the scales tell a different story!

I am ignoring it, it's not weigh in day. Tomorrow I will report, no matter what the outcome, then go to the gym and sweat. I'm changing up my routine, this one has stopped having an effect.

What I do need to do, is get dressed, because I need to leave the house in 3.5 hours, and am still far too comfy in my PJ's.

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 29/07/2012 11:47

It is a proud moment for me, as of yesterday I am no longer "Tongan"SmileSmile (on the global fat scale)
I am "Micronesian" and on track to whizz back through the countries.

marriedinwhite · 29/07/2012 12:06

tried on a size 14 pair of per una linen trousers an hour or so ago. They were just a bit too tight -vpl - so I didn't buy them. If I had started two weeks earlier they would have been OK for our holiday I think.

LollipopViolet · 29/07/2012 12:16

Ugh, why do people have arguments with me? Making me want to reach for the chocolate.

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 29/07/2012 12:25

Urgh! Just caved into a chicken pasty and now I feel awful. Too full, fat and sweaty! :(

Lesson learned!

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 29/07/2012 12:25

Lollipop You ok?

Hang on there!

sassytheFIRST · 29/07/2012 12:40

Hi all

You know that lb I lost yesterday? It's back

Scrambled eggs for breakfast, going to a pub for pig roast lunch (our friends own the pub and have just remodelled the beer garden, having a grand opening) so will have a nice amount of nosh but nothing else. Maybe one teeny glass of fizz so as not to appear rude Wink

Keep focused, all!

LollipopViolet · 29/07/2012 12:50

Bonkey, I'm fine - I'm a recent graduate, still living at home, and there was a clash of personalities, that's now resolved :)

And I didn't cave and eat chocolate - yay! Sassy, the pounds keep doing that to me too, it's annoying!

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 29/07/2012 14:51

I'm feeling very restless now, but still can't walk without limping, and am sporting some impressive arm bruises (some people don't know how to grip properly in ceilidh dancing, and just jab a thumb in the crook of my elbow insteadAngry).
I am becoming aware how important exercise is to my life, it's not even been a day and I miss it already!

friendly7 · 29/07/2012 16:05

Hi whyme2, thank you so much for your support! I sure needed it! I felt upset I've put on half a kg while I didn't do any work-out, still don't feel well enough to do any of it but trying my best to eat healthily. I don't know what to make of it but today my scales showed 800 g less than yesterday. Will check tomorrow, may be it was a mistake. Anyway, my idea of wearing my favourite dresses is still a dream, not a reality, looked today and I feel I'm miles off from what I used to be 4 years ago. I did let it go I have to say, somehow one day I've decided not to worry any more about my weight and let myself have feasts with ice-cream, cake and white bread products. For a while my weight was still okay and I honestly didn't notice how slowly it crept towards the level when I became overweight again. Yes, I used to be overweight in the past and shifted 10 kg and then gained 11!!!! This time around it is so much harder to shift even a kg! But with the support, I hope I'll keep going... Wishing everyone big success!!! It's Summer, in some ways it is easier with so much veg about but in other ways it's not possible to hide my fat tum...

IOutrunBoltInMySpareTime · 29/07/2012 18:14

My ankle finally feels a little better, I'm only hobbling a bit now, but can't weigh myself on the wii fit as I can't balance properly yet. Probably no bad thing, but I would like to get properly back on my feet by tomorrow. I'm definitely getting cabin fever now!

StealthPolarBear · 29/07/2012 18:17

Hi everyone
Sorry for the panic - I somehow managed to hide the thread, have posted/ started about 3 other threads and PMed a load of you to ask about it (the ones whose exact names I could remember). Thanks to Bonkey for linking to it - I imagined you'd all had a big barney and the thread had been deleted Shock
friendly, that all sounds so familiar. Stick with it and it WILL work.
Well, I ahve had my drunken night away, and even with the extra wine which I had to log after the event (I knew 750ml wouldn't be enough :)) I was in control - 200 cals over my 1200 daily limit but that's not too bad considering this was a meal/big night out,a nd I was going to allow myself up to 2000.
Day off calorie counting today, although I have just had a sneaky weigh in and I was 12st1/12st1.5!! So hopeful that by "official" weigh in day on Thursday my weight will start with an 11.
Was a fantastic night though and lots of people said I was the thinnest they'd seen me. And lots of them had lost weight too :o Nice to have it commented on.

Stealth It lovely when people start to notice :) Glad you had a good time.

I have had a day off cal counting too today. Apart from the pasty, which gave me dizzy spells Shock , i have still been good-ish. I have a weightwatchers pizza to have tonight whilst dh is out living it up Envy Grin .

TheLightPassenger · 29/07/2012 18:24

Hello, looks like this thread is where it's at for the generic weight loss stuff, so I shall check-in.

I'm 5ft 3, 12stone 3 want to be 10 stone eventually. Diet stuff (calorie and fat gr) counting is mostly under control, am struggling to motivate myself to exercise - work is a bit stressy at the moment, so it's too easy to just think Meh.
