Wow OddBoots, that's amazing, well done!

I'm still finding it hard to control my portions, but I think a big food shop over the weekend will help me get on track. I didn't eat anything bad yesterday, just too much.
Exercise is the problem. My 6mo DS is not the placid type who will sit there while I do a DVD...

Eggrules · 28/06/2012 09:35

1 1/2 lbs off since Monday, so the right direction. LOADS more to go.

Love the stories.

silver73 · 28/06/2012 09:58

Hiya I am an 18 wanting to be a 12 too. I don't think I can handle low carbing as feel ill on 45g of carbs but maybe able to keep to 100g of carbs - is that still low carbing?

I am also doing 1 hour of Callanetics a day and both Tracey Anderson arm workouts which seem to be working and great as they are 8 minutes each. One is with weights and the other without weights.

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2012 10:02

Thanks everyone. Am eating a bit too much today, already had egg on toast and a banana milkshake. I hve to keep this up - can see the results.
OddBoots, sorry to hear about your back, take it easy today and let yourself heal!
Welcome silver! Everyone is doing soo much exercise :(

silver73 · 28/06/2012 10:11

Thanks Stealth I have a few weeks off so for once I have the time to do exercise.

I really want to lose 4 stone and by the time the fat has gone I have a nicely toned body. I have tried Jillian Michael DVDs but at the moment I don't think my knees can take the stress due to 4 stone of extra weight and being unfit. I have only been doing Callanetics for 3 days but do feel it is making a difference already.

I am also going to try to do some walking to help shift the weight loss. Think I will start using MFP too although I do find it hard to put in the exercise for some reason.

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2012 10:23

Just don't pit it in. I rarely do (but then I rarely exercise)d. Then you stick to the same cal limit and exercise is a bonus

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2012 10:31

I am having major sweet cravings :( So far I have had a banana milkshake (which is fine, just banana whizzed with a little bit of skimmed milk), a mini milky way and now an options hot choc. It's fine so far, I can manage this within my daily limits bu I have an awful feeling I'm about to eat 500g of dairy milk. Please someone tell me what to do.

chipsandmayonnaise · 28/06/2012 10:41

Stealth! step away from the dairy milk. Go and make a cup of peppermint tea with a bit of honey in it, or brush your teethor something!
[says chips who has just eaten two rounds of buttery toast)

chipsandmayonnaise · 28/06/2012 10:43

Morning all. Congrats Stealth on the 4 stone!!!! WOW!

I had a fairly good day yesterday but then got home from work at 10 and drank a pint of cider.

Have walked already for 45 minutes this morning, and am about to go for another 30 minute walk (to cancel out the toast...)

Eggrules · 28/06/2012 10:44

Try some protein - another boiled egg/cooked meat?

Keep occupied with something to take you mind off it.

Plan the rest of your meals and snacks for the day.

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2012 10:48

Thanks everyone, I've started another thread too! Pathetic. Egg that's a good idea about planning, I love doing that and feeling all in control. Need to go shopping fairly soon so I will plan meals for is all today.

LollipopViolet · 28/06/2012 11:14

Morning all!

I've not eaten anything so far, but now I'm hungry. think I'm going to see what healthy snacks we've got in, but wait til lunch for my first big meal.

Still stuck on 13st 3, although I've apparently lost 1/4 lb since yesterday :) official MFP log is Monday though, so hopefully tomorrow and Saturday at the gym will make the number drop :)

I put these extra five pounds on quickly, why won't they vacate the premises quickly????

wherearemysocks · 28/06/2012 12:43

Well done Travelling and Stealth.

FurCough, there a good thread somewhere else on here called something like Eat more to Weigh Less which explains the calorie thing quite well, I don't know how to do a link, maybe someone else can do it?

So my meal plan today was

Brekkie 2 scrambled eggs, some fried mushrooms and some roast chicken (trying to avoid processed meats so no bacon or sausage)

Lunch will be a Duran pancake (2 tbl sp oat bran, 2 tbl sp low fat cream cheese, 1 egg, cook like an omelette. With Tesco chilli and coriander prawns.

Dinner will be a fillet steak I picked up off the discount shelf in Tesco today, with some veg or salad.

Snacks will be a small handful of nuts and a total Greek yogurt.

Hath.

FurCough · 28/06/2012 17:11

I think this is the one wherearemysocks. Interesting stuff, I'll have a proper read later.

I think my ideas about weight loss are stuck in the 80's and watching my mum eat ryvita and grapefruit Blush

wherearemysocks · 28/06/2012 17:50

^ I know what you mean. I can't remember my mum not being on a diet of some sort. That's mostly why I just want to find a healthy way of eating that is sustainable so I can pass on better habits to my girls.

TheOneWithTheHair · 28/06/2012 20:27

Just checking in. Well done everyone so far.

I haven't reweighed yet but I might have a sneak peak tomorrow morning. I have now gone three days without chocolate so there will hopefully be a small loss. :)

StealthPolarBear · 28/06/2012 20:45

3 days without chocolate???

TheOneWithTheHair · 28/06/2012 20:47

I know. And I survived! Grin

I'm even more determined now.

KateSpade · 28/06/2012 20:59

Oh my god Ladies!

I have had a training session with a male that works at my gym! He was quite possibly the best looking person i have ever seen He was shouting the traditional 'come on' gym quotes & rude thoughts entered my head. Blush I love him. He said he is contracted at different times at my gym, so i shall have to be their all day every day to see him!

I think i love him!

Excellent Session though!

Official weigh in news!

I have lost, after a week of hard work, the sum total of...

1lb. Bit disappointing really, thought it might have been more :(

Ah well, 74lbs to go...

stickyj · 29/06/2012 08:34

Hi I wanted to post on here but not sure how it works. I have just done a diet/detox over 9 days and lost 8 and a half pounds. Just a twenty minute walk each dat, lots of willpower and absolutely no snacks, wine, coffee, tea. The coffee was akiller but now I've lost the weight I am determined not to put it back on.

I am still doing my early morning walk and over the nine days lost a few inches off my waist, chest, hips and legs. My friend told me about it, she has just started her own business (that's why I wasn't sure if I could post or not), but if defintely worked for me.

You can weigh yourself on day 1, 3, 6 and 9. I lost 4 pounds on day 3, none on day 6!! and the rest by day 9.

Because I have stuck to the no snacks, tiny bit of booze, I have since lost another three pounds! It's a bit expensive to buy the "kit" you need and I think that's why I stuck to it! Grin I won't put on here what it's called in case you think I'm advertising but you can pm if you like (or i can put it on later if it's ok).

travellingwilbury · 29/06/2012 09:09

Morning everyone

I am going to need a few kicks today , I was supposed to be on a course all day so was all organised and had planned my food but now I have a poorly boy at home and I haven't had much sleep , this is when I would usually snack all day on biscuits and coffee and crisps .

kate I need to go the gym Grin Only if someone can prmise me a hunk to ogle too .

lollipop don't be dissapointed , a pound is still a pound off , you might find that next week you lose more than you were expecting , I have had that before and it is gutting but a loss is a loss .

TwllBach · 29/06/2012 09:54

Morning everyone Grin

Thank you all for the good luck wishes - I got through to the next round GrinGrin

Stealth 4 stone is amazing you must be so proud of yourself - do you have a DP/someone who can tell you that they are proud of you too?

Everyone seems to be keeping up the good work! And for those of you who have lost only 'just' a pound, it doesn't seem fair does it Sad but at least it is a loss!!

I didn't eat chocolate on Wednesday, although I did have jam on toast for my breakfast. That, and my dinner of egg and beans on toast was all I ate, as I was too nervous to eat anything else, btu then yesterday I went out for lunch with some friends. I had grilled peppers stuffed with couse couse and pine nuts and halloumi, but I only ate half of the halloumi, and then was coerced into eating a slice of chocoalte cheese cake

BUT

I could only eat half!!! I was very shocked Grin and I felt a little sick after that. This has never happened before. And this morning (at work) I have just been walking past the chocolate and am not even tempted. It's like a miracle - I even text DP about it Grin

I felt a bit funny this morning (maybe because I had the chocolate cake yesterday? so blood sugar levels were funny? I don't know...) so I have had a pear, but all that means is that I won't have my hot chocolate. I haev stocked up on flavoured waters. They seem to get rid of my hunger pangs and I know theya re full of sugar, but hey ho!

travellingwilbury · 29/06/2012 10:03

Well done Twll and good luck for the next round Grin

Ignoring chocolate is very impressive , my thing is crisps and cheese , bread . I have only had a coule of satsumas so far but I am going to go and have an egg or something soon otherwise I will suddenly get starving and what rubbish because I am so tired .

And I need to keep drinking the water , I do feel that makes a big difference .
