Yes, it is cushion plumping time again Grin

Pull up your favourite chair (I'm bagging the one in the corner thanks Grin) stick your feet up and join in with the nattering.

Plenty of room for everyone Grin

Email option is ideal, just wish I had read the letter instead of just scanning it.
Lets see if they reply. I have grovelled a lot in it and apologised for not being able to make it, for the short notice and for any inconvenience caused.

I'll wait and see if I hear anything from them. I won't hold it against them if they don't contact me. I have let them know I am available any day and time during half term and I will be able to sort childcare out then if DH is working.

Evening Smile

Everyone's back, hurrah Grin

FaceCrack v sorry to hear about your pneumonia, bad enough to have it once but back again, poor you, was it same lung?
Job offer sounds interesting and like you're very tempted.

Bee hope your DC are better v soon and that you have a wonderful break, are just the 4 of you going?

Choc my local butcher does 'syn free' sausages which seem pretty lean to me and I'm not asking any questions as I can't bear Quorn ones.

girders good luck with your run

CSWS glad to see you back reminding us of the virtues of superfree, good to have the reminder Smile Is your new job P/T?

Huffers hope you're OK, when is your op?

Busy day here today doing nothing in particular but I'm knackered and should be in bed. DS1 is having a sleep over at my folks house this evening. It's only his 3rd time and the 1st for ages; he was very excited and no doubt his 8pm midnight feast will have lived up to expectations Grin It's been very quiet this evening without him here, I imagine DS2 will chip in to break the peace and quiet soon (probably 5 mins after I go to sleep Hmm)

Anyway, food today (green):
BF: Porridge (HE a+b)
L: Chicken salad hobbit sandwich (HEb), pear
D: Pasta + ratatouille + cottage cheese, rhubarb + strawberry yog (5 syns)
S: Grapes, strawberries, Muller yog, Special K cereal bar (5 syns) and just found and ate (obviously) a dark choc marzipan (don't know how many syns but tasted like enough to push me over daily allowance)

kid · 09/05/2012 07:20

I think its time for me to start writing everything down again as I've sts again this week.
I'm not completely surprised as i wasn't 100% on plan over the weekend. Infact, I was 100% off plan on Saturday. So its back to menu planning for me.

LakeFlyPie · 09/05/2012 07:44

Me too kid, I could copy and paste your last post except for the saturday bit.
Think my error this week has been nibbling and approximating syns, obviously been under estimating.
Have got to pull my finger out this week as going to a wedding in 3 weeks and on holiday in 10 weeks. Am out to dinner tomorrow and having checked the menu it's going to take some flexible syn work to factor in but can be done .

You're right, writing it down is the way to success, you up for a weeks diary challenge?
Hope everyone else has had a more successful week, if not any takers on the Week of Diary?

Am planning to go red today:
BF: FF yog, blue berries + strawberries
L: Chicken salad, orange, pear
D: Ham, cheese, red onion omelette + salad
S: Muller, fruit

FaceCrack · 09/05/2012 08:07

I am in with the careful diary planning. I have a tough weekend coming up as my Dad and family are all staying with us. It normally means lots of booze. We also won the waitrose mumsnet cookery competition which writes Saturday off. Saturday will have to be flexi syns as I'm not turning down free wine and a 3 course dinner!

Food looks like:
B: fruit and ff yog
Snack: alpen light bars x 2 (heb)
L: chicken and cous cous salad, fruit
D: quorn sausage and bean casserole with a bit of mash and spring greens. (3 syns). I'm hoping that's it! Will prob have a muller light too.

Right, I'd best be into work! Have a good day everyone.

brafullofcrumbs · 09/05/2012 08:47

Morning all, apologies for being AWOL recently. Another o ne with a dissapointing wi this week, I'm up for the diary challenge. Only found out yesterday from SW group that 80% of food should be free or super free, 15% hex and 5% syns. There's no way I've been eating 95% non syn food :( So 4 months in I need to change my approach. Am a bit peeved I only just found that out.

brafullofcrumbs · 09/05/2012 08:51

Ps i was having an extra hea because of BFing ds but now he's dropped one of his two feeds do you think I could stop the extra hea? I feel it might be contributing to the slow down in weight loss.

grinningbee · 09/05/2012 10:17

Morning all!

Face Yay on winning the competition Grin. Hope you enjoy the prize!

I am up for a meticulous diary too. And I think I might need to bung some more free food in too. Big shop Friday, so will get planning.

I had 6.5 syns in the end yesterday. We didn't have the curry for tea and had sausages, bacon and tomatoes instead (Thing also had chips - a whole bag Shock, onion rings and a whole tin of baked beans). So it was 2 for the sausages, 3 for a slice of bread and 1.5 for a mullerlight yogurt with the cherry layer.

Today will be/is:

Ready brek, 1 x ryvita with 1 tsp jam (0.5 syn), banana
Omelette with cherry tomatoes, yogurt and an apple
Beef rogan josh with veggies
Snack will be 2 x alpen lights (I seem to be addicted Blush)

The dc are still poorly. Could have fried an egg on dd this morning, but she rallied after some capol. Still, I kept her here instead of playgroup. Found out the have another 5 children off with the same thing Hmm

Good luck for DoD today! Face are we pm'ing you today?

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/05/2012 13:59

brafull - I feed one of my boys once a day and the other prob 4 or 5 times a day, and I don't have an extra HE for it! I think you only have it when they are exclusively bf (ie before starting solids).
I wouldn't get yourself bogged down in percentages. If you are following the plan then your food split should naturally be about what you list. Free food should always be your first choice. Fwiw I've never come across those figures either.

Talking of bras full, I'm just back from bra shopping so that I have some decent non-nursing bras for work (which is very much full time lake). I was wearing a 40inch back, and had to use extenders at one point too, but am now a 36 (and the 34 that was in the wrong box was almost fine too!) :).

brafullofcrumbs · 09/05/2012 14:41

Interesting csws my cons gave me a booklet about sw and pg/ bfing and that says 1 extra he when weaned on solids it's up to about 5 or 6 extra he's when they are exclusively bfing!!

Chocolategirl3 · 09/05/2012 14:52

Just ate 2 Terry's All Gold chocolates Blush on WI day of all days!

I have no defence...I am just greedy and will powerless today Blush

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 09/05/2012 15:12

After noon all.

Im also up for a detailed diary, because i have been stuck around this weight for ages.

face well done on winning the comp, and enjoy the food and wine! Also i have pmed you with my first DOD.

todays food is;

B - FF yog with chopped banana mixed in and a satsuma
L - Roast veg cous cous with feta HA
D -Roast chicken salad with reduced fat coleslaw 2 syns and 2 slices of hobbit HB toasted 1 syn for a smiggen of low fat spread.

Have also had a special k bar 5 syns.

I have wallpapered today for the first time in my dining room and im rather impressed with my first time efforts provided you dont get too close as was DH when he popped in from his lunch break.

Trouble is he now wants me too paper the rest of the house! I think not.

FaceCrack · 09/05/2012 15:15

Sure PM me!

grinningbee · 09/05/2012 15:25

Choc I think those chocs would only be 2 syns each, so it's not the end of the world. I know quality street are 2 each, they must be about the same. I'll have a look in a sec.

Bra I also had the bf info, and yes it does say you can still have 1 extra healthy extra after 6 months when weaning. I don't let myself anymore in the hope it will do some good!

Girders Yay (and well done) on the decorating, but don't let him con you into doing it all!!

Going to pm you now Face. I got it wrong the other day when I thought I only had 1 more weigh in. It's 2. Mind you, that won't make much difference the way it's going at the mo.

I changed lunch as the dc have been having naps (unheard of) and being extra clingy, so it was:

Cherry tomatoes with slices of ham, 2 x ryvita dark (3 syns) with 2 x extra light cheese triangles (part of hea), muller light yogurt with the cherry layer (1.5 syns) and an apple.

OP posts:
grinningbee · 09/05/2012 15:39

Right. Just looked up Terry's All Gold. They're 3 syns each, so no it's still not the end of the world, but a smidge more than I thought.

I looked up Thorntons too which I love, and the continental ones can be anything up to 4 syns each! That is bad...

OP posts:
kid · 09/05/2012 16:00

Todays diary:

B- 2 weetabix (HEb), milk (HEa)
L- couscous, roasted peppers and onions
Grapefruit, apple
D- Potato wedges with onions, tomatoes, 28g cheese (HEa) carrots and beetroot (if I have some in the cupboard as I fancy that)
muller light
2 finger kitkat (5.5syns)

I have loads of fruit if I get hungry later.

I am so tired today, really struggling to stay awake. I have to go and DS in 15 minutes so no time for a nap.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 09/05/2012 17:17

Im off to WI shortly and despite having a good week I don't think I've lost :(

Will update later but not sure if ill make the list as have a v busy evening ahead- either way will update later x

brafullofcrumbs · 09/05/2012 18:12

Didn't realise there were other bfing slimmers out there :)
My food was/is
B fruit and fibre (heb) and milk (hea) fruit
L salad, ham, dressing (0.5 syn)
D stir fry chicken lots of veg (0 syns)
Snacks so far fruit, morning coffee biscuits (2 syns), alpen bar (3 syns) and a pink and whites (saw them in asda so decided to try them) (2.5 syns)

kid · 09/05/2012 20:18

I just made rice pudding using pudding rice, water, sweetener, nutmeg and a vanilla muller light. It was disgusting!

Think I'll stick to plain mullers in future.

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 09/05/2012 21:32

kid that sounds awfull! Haven't tried the usual syn free version yet, must give it ago.

I have on the other hand just eaten an individual best cheese cake! Don't want to contemplate syns. Eek.

FaceCrack · 09/05/2012 21:35

Had a bit of a crazy day / evening so will do the List tomorrow night. Sorry!

kid · 09/05/2012 21:50

Hope you have a more relaxing evening Face

LakeFlyPie · 09/05/2012 23:13

Evening Smile

Thought I'd missed DOD WI but glad to see it's tomorrow, will pm you FaceCrack (thanks for doing it when you're so busy).
Wow to winning the Waitrose competition, enjoy your prize Thanks

bra think there's quite a few of us bfing, I'm nearly into my 4th year now Shock and gave up the extra HE's many moons ago. I think as long as you're getting plenty of calcium and sunlight for some Vit D you should be OK.

kid the rice pudding disaster sounds truly revolting. This looks a lot better.

Re: proportions of superfree etc my RL Cons when I used to go to a group always said you should aim for 2/3rds of your plate to be superfree.
I always used to have my best weeks when I managed to have superfree breakfast and lunch and then go red or green at dinner time. Need to try and have a few weeks of that now I think.

Food today (a rare red day):
BF: FF yog, strawberries, blueberries
L: Chicken salad, apple, orange
D: Ham, cheese (HEa) red onion omelette + salad + potato salad (HEb + 2.5 syns for mayo) Banana + Muller yog
S: Berries, grapes, ham
Milk in coffee (HEa)

Out tomorrow evening with a couple of colleagues for some delicious food and a good chinwag. Have checked out the menu online and it's clear Simon Rimmer doesn't do SW, not a viable option on the whole menu really. The only concession I may make is to forego dessert, will see how the mood moves me whether I can resist passion fruit panna cotta with strawberry salsa and shortbread

FaceCrack · 10/05/2012 07:48

Thanks all, I'm really looking forward to it. I won't tell you what we are cooking in case your dribble on your keyboard!

Promise I will do the list tonight. DH is on nights at the moment so I'm doing some solo parenting this week. Work was horribly busy yesterday, hoping fr a slightly quieter day today.

b: kiwi, melon and ff yog
L: cous cous and chicken salad, fruit
D: spaghetti carbonara (philli extra light as HEB)
2 alpen light bars (heb) for snacks.

Huffpot · 10/05/2012 07:57

Hi all...havent read back properly.
Have been a proper a bit naughty so have absented myself slightly.

Have my op next Wedndesday so won't be going to group....may try and guestimate my weight though if I can work out the difference in my scales and SW but that may not happen

My parents will be feeding me too so food will be slightly out of my control but thats fine.

Once the pain has eased I'm hoping to fit a bit of extra exercise in with my cross trainer thingy which the cyst has stopped before

I have to do some shopping too...have a couple of manky bananas and my few apples are a bit manky - not nice.

I'm uninspired for breaky at the moment so have had half a manky apple, a banana and a WW yoghurt and now will have a cuppa and see what I feel like in a bit

Will have spud, beans and salad for lunch and probably fish for dinner I think. our local fish monger sells bags of one called tilapia for £5 frozen and its superspeed so I'll grab a bag of that
