BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 20/04/2012 07:40

So it's Friday. The start of the Dangerous Days, otherwise known as the weekend.

Can I remind everyone that there is to be no alcohol during bootcamp

Slowlyburning - you mustn't let yourself get hungry as eating the wrong things is an inevitable consequence. And why no carbs until now?

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 22/04/2012 20:50

Well done faux!

Vnmum - I think it's all the cheese/dairy you probably need to cut down/out

KeepOrfThemCarbs · 22/04/2012 20:59

You naughty fuckers! Grin

I have been angelic all weekend.

Yesterday
L - chicken with leeks and gorgonzola
D - sag paneer

Today
B - macadamia nuts
L - pate and little gems
D - cauliflower cheese

I also weighed in at 10 stone 6 this morning - I started at 10 stone 8, went up to 10 stone 11, and now have dropped 5lbs over the weekend, and have a net 2lbs loss. I hope I lose another lb or so by weigh in tomorrow.

I really really want to get down to 10 stone 3 by the end of next week, which will mean a clear 2 stone loss since January 1st. Then I will only have 5lbs to lose before I reach my target weight. The end is in sight!

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 22/04/2012 21:04

Well done! How are you?

wohmum · 22/04/2012 21:05

I'm leaving weigh in til Tuesday (1 extra day to counteract the weekends!) , but hopeful for a good result as my jeans definitely feel looser. My only real slippage is coffee with milk - I just can't have it black! And needed to spend time in various coffee shops over the weekend! I didn't succum to any cakes though so v pleased with myself.

Struggling a bit with running - been doing c25k and today's run felt a real hard slog when it should have been doable, hoping it's not down to the woe.

SharonGless · 22/04/2012 21:06

After my kippers and boiled egg off we went to the sea odyssey in Liverpool which was just fab. Went for lunch to pizza express and I had chicken, pancetta and goats cheese salad.
Do you know what - I had absolutely no desire to eat the pizza or even the kids ice cream. I really enjoyed my lunch, didnt feel like I had been cheated for "just" eating a salad.

Came home and had leftover chicken sprouts, Cauli and fried leeks

At least 3 liters of water. If I have a small vodka and slimline tonic will it completely fuck everything up?

KeepOrfThemCarbs · 22/04/2012 21:09

I am feeling a lot better BIWI, thanks for asking, not had to take tramadols last night so feel human. Fingers crossed it was just a blip.

Creamtea1 · 22/04/2012 21:14

Weighed in 10 st 5 this morn do that's 2lb off in bootcamp, pleased with this as is my stubborn week in my cycle for weight loss. Going to weigh in again tomorrow morning in case a bit more is off. Been good this weekend, paneer and prawn curry (homemade) last night and pork crackling joint with leeks and broc tonight. Have started with the little gem leaves for lunch, with pâté on. No snacking so far but have brazil nuts if I have to give in.
And there has been a creme egg in the fridge for days which I have not given in too.
However, smoking has increased since bootcamp !

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 22/04/2012 21:14

Let's hope so!

Feeling ghastly today.

Had eggs for breakfast, took the children to a soft play then lunch - I was so good, bacon, eggs and mushrooms. So all good. Salmon with mashed cauli and more mushrooms for dinner.

Problem is I think I may have food poisoning or a stomach bug. Feeling really wobbly and pukey and shall not mention my bum. It's very sad. Could too many eggs have killed my stomach? 4 in a morning?

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 22/04/2012 21:21

Oh dear - sorry to hear that. Unless the eggs were contaminated there would be no issue over that number.

Smokinaces - just seen your post. Didn't realize carb withdrawal could start bleeds. I wondered wtf as also have mirena and not had period of or a few months.

Lightbulb moment.

Well no one has said I can't have the vodka so here goes....

SharonGless · 22/04/2012 21:27

Oh no Maria- I have been eating up to 3 eggs most days with no issues. Hope you feel better soon

MariaCallous · 22/04/2012 21:42

Didn't think so.

Tucked in bed with camomile tea and Homeland now. Hopefully feel better in the morning. Have my low carb day planned out tomorrow.

londonlottie · 22/04/2012 21:51

Erm, is this the right thread for a NEW person to come and join?

I am in dire need of a giant kick up the arse. Am very long in the tooth in terms of low-carb, having done it on and off for about 15 years now. I know it works, I even believe it's the healthiest way to eat long-term. Having had twins in Dec 09 and piling on the weight during pregnancy, I then lost 4 stone in summer 10 following Dukan, which went against the grain of everything I believed in (fat free!!) but got me results, and fast. It also decimated my love of cooking and I've never quite got it back. But that could be the toddlers' fault...

Anyway, here I am, having regained half that weight (plus more for good measure) and thoroughly ashamed of myself. I actually got to a point where I felt thin. But I didn't feel healthy and wasn't exercising or toning up. I know low-carb works, I feel great when I do it. Have done 20 days of the Shred too and loved it. But desperately need to find my mojo and hoping you chatty lot might be able to help!

flipflopflap · 22/04/2012 21:54

Oh dear, I'm coming in having cheated. I was so good all day, went for lunch with friends and had LC lunch. They had desserts, I didn't. Then I went to my parents for dinner and my Mum, knowing I was LCing had cooked me bloody Mac and Cheese. In her defense she had been out all day and forgot, but I tried to secretly feed it to my sister whilst Mum wasn't looking, but ended up eating about 5 pieces of pasta. Luckily she'd made loads of veg to go with it so I ate all of that.

I'll be very annoyed if it's affected my weight loss. I totally understand how difficult it is catering for a low carb vegetarian, but my Mum's a veggie too and wish she'd just asked me, and I would have brought my own dish. Sad

Thegoddessblossom · 22/04/2012 22:01

Hi London, welcome. BIWI will ne along in a minute I'm sure to say hi! We're chatty all right, it's a full time job keeping up with this thread!

NotMostPeople · 22/04/2012 22:03

Justo popping my head around the door to say hello. I've had a mixed bag for the last few days, firstly I've had a birthday so it's been very difficult not to go mad. Dh and I have had a couple of meals out with birthday celebrations I've been mostly good I've left chips, took a pastry top off a pie and wheni ordered something that came unexpectedly in bread I didn't eat it. I have however had two glasses of wine and two g&t's in the last four days.

Overall though I'm much less hungry, I've been swimming a couple of times and had a personal training session.

This morning I'd lost 5lbs although on Wednesday I'd gained 2lbs so it's a 3lb loss since we started.

Most importantly I feel that I can stick with it, my relapses have been mostly due to the birthday thing oh and I've got DH on board too.

Thank you so much BIWI.

I don't know BIWI as I had planned to have them over the week, but they are gone now.

I am going to cut out dairy this week, seems introducing more veg carbs has slowed the loss down compared to previous weeks Hmm

WizzyBizzy · 22/04/2012 22:22

Don't worry flipflopflap, I'm sure a handful of pasta won't be a big deal. It's much less of a sin than the rest of us!

So,my dinner plans changes as we ended up eating with the DCs before bed time instead of later, so had what they had (well, a variation for me): last night's left over mince, with salad and some extra mushrooms fried in butter for me. I had a bowl of Total 5% yogurt for pudding with some flaxseed.

Given that I ate really early (before 6) I'm not at all hungry this evening, which is really good for me. Normally I'd be tucking into toast by now. (In fact, DH who had jacket potato with his tea is raiding the kids treat cupboard as I type....).

I also had 2 sainsbos crispy rashers as snacks earlier on.

I'm not very happy with my weight loss, so I am going to try really really hard to cut back on the dairy, but I'm struggling because I really don't like eating the fat on meats etc, so it's an easy way for me to get the fat).

Right, onwards into week 2. I really do think I'm going to go a whole fortnight without booze, chocolate, crisps or toast. Amazing. Thanks all.

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 22/04/2012 22:28

But MNP why did you make them with fruit syrup in the first place?!

OP posts:
ShirtyKnot · 22/04/2012 22:29

Evening losers.

So I managed to do my run that has been eluding me all weekend - HOORAY!

Thank eff for that, I was starting to get really stressed that this WOE and exercise were incompatible.

Breakfast - herby scrambled egg on naice ham.
Lunch - Cafe Rouge (they were very accommodating, swapping potatoes for French beans for me) Lemon sole in lemon butter, courgette and French beans. Y to the U to the M.
Dinner - Roast chicken, broccoli and curried celeriac chips - you have GOT To try them [http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1145/celeriac-oven-chips clicky]]

Overjoyed and a bit constipated today and proud of myself this week - still at only a 1lb loss, but HEY! I'm not hungry, full of beans and sleeping like a baby! The weight loss feels, weirdly, secondary ATM.

MNP · 22/04/2012 22:32

No artificial sweetener and the fruit one is 4g per teaspoon and used 1teaspoon so increasing the total carbs by a third of a carb as the recipe said 6 but I made 12 from the mixture.
