BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 20/04/2012 07:40

So it's Friday. The start of the Dangerous Days, otherwise known as the weekend.

Can I remind everyone that there is to be no alcohol during bootcamp

omg MNP duck. I had forgotten how much i love it. that is going on shopping list

vnmum · 22/04/2012 15:05

We are having roast duck tonight with veg cooked in lots of butter. So many of you are having fab losses, just wish I could work out where I am going wrong Sad

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 22/04/2012 15:41

vnmum - don't be despondent!

Why don't you post this week's meals/drinks so we can see if we can help.

Are you eating enough?
Are you eating enough fat?
Are you drinking enough water?
Are you keeping an eye on your carbs?
Are you eating too few carbs?

And it's never a good idea to compare yourself to others, because you are different from them. Your start point is different - you may not have as much to lose, etc.

vnmum im the same i lost nothing and now feel like giving up.

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 22/04/2012 16:27

ledkr - did you post your food/drink - I can't remember. Sorry (too many of us to keep up with!). If not, can you do that, and I'll see if I have any constructive advice?

ok, water wise I am drinking at least 3 litres a day. The occasional redbush tea (no milk). I have had 2 small glasses of pepsi max during the week. I am aiming for 20g carbs per day but some days I have possibly been under. I will try to remember what I ate.
Right, I can remember as far back as thursday.
Thurs - B - mim with philly cheese
l- homemade turkey burgers with salad dressed in oil, avocado and cheesey coleslaw
t- pan fried salmon, broccoli, green beans, courgette, asparagus (fried and dressed in added butter)

fri - b- 2 eggs scrambled with a tablespoon of double cream, fried in butter and 50g cheesey coleslaw (2g carb)
l - tuna mayo with half an avocado and salad dressed in oil
t - chicken fajita meat with 2 oopsie rolls

sat -b- 2 fried eggs, 3 fried bacon, 50g cheesey coleslaw
l- mim with philly
t- pan fried steak with king prawns fried in butter, salad dressed in oil and homemade guacamole

today - b- 2 fried eggs, 3 fried bacon, 2 oopsie rolls (1.2g carb), 50g cheesey coleslaw. this was a brunch as up late
s - roast chicken
t- will be - roast duck with cauli, fried asparagus and green beans and probably some courgette cooked in butter.

i haven't been snacking apart from one day in the week i did have some cheese as I was starving and it was the only thing fatty I could snack on.

I know some of it has not been completely strict bootcamp rules but I am not eating as much cheese or cream as I was before bootcamp.

I have been to the gym twice this week doing weights. last time was wednesday morning.

I have been taking 2 psyllium husk tablets 3 times a day for the past 2 days to try and prevent getting bunged up.

WillieWaggledagger · 22/04/2012 16:52

vnmum i do find mims can stall me, so I avoid unless i really feel like i need a change of texture

MarshaBrady · 22/04/2012 16:56

That veg list is great.

Have stocked up on mushrooms, cauliflower and spinach (which I eat a lot anyway).

Had no idea French beans and onions were at the higher end.

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 22/04/2012 17:03

vnmum - I agree - I'd cut out the MiM and the oopsie rolls. There's quite a lot of dairy in your diet. It could be that this is impeding your weight loss.

I know that I can't eat cream, and so I'm also avoiding cheese.

Vnmum I have lost only a single pound this week but am sticking with it as doing less strict had lost 4lbs in 3 weeks previously.

Now for some help, I have made Oopsie rolls but they spread out to become Oopsie pancakes, did I over cut the whites do you think? Not being an egg person they are Ok, might add salt and pepper next time, am going to try the doughnut/cruelles with similar mixture.

Thegoddessblossom · 22/04/2012 17:17

phew at least they were on the allowed list.

s: one baby bel, one pepperami. Was STARVING after an hour on the treadmill. (not all running I hasten to add, 30 mins run then 30 mins walk uphill)

BettyBathroom · 22/04/2012 17:26

VNMum The pizza base is already on the recipe thread posted by MsRinky Fri 20-Apr-12 10:0. If you can't find it I'll link it again.

ohforfoxsake · 22/04/2012 17:56

bolleaux. the dog just ate a balloon, the stress of which caused me to eat the rest of the chocolate easter bunny.

GreenEyesAndHam · 22/04/2012 18:00

I am stuffed.

Just had roast chicken with skin, cauli mash, green beans, cabbage and- my first 'sin' of the week- a half a roasted carrot Blush

You know there's been a major lifestyle shift, when you're only vice is a piece of root veg Hmm

Forgive me bootcampers, for I have sinned. Oh my god, have I sinned. Obviously I can't give details, because it's just too horrible, but it involved beer, chips and white toast. With FLORA MARGARINE Shock. And cake.

Anyway, I now feel bloated and horrible, and will have put on everything I took off over the last week.

But it was a lovely weekend. I'll be back on the straight and narrow tomorrow, and am working all weekend so am unlikely to slip (honest).

Well done to everyone who's done well Grin.

ohforfoxsake · 22/04/2012 18:55

did you have a chip butty???

Its forgivable - the chips, even the white bread at a push - but the MARG???!

teaandthorazine · 22/04/2012 19:00

Nope (but now I wish I had!). We were staying in a b&b that was lovely except for the lack of proper butter at breakfast. I've not eaten flora marge for YEARS - now I remember why. It's rank.

vnmum · 22/04/2012 19:01

Thanks for the pointers. I guess DH and the DC will be eating up the oopsie rolls then seen as I made a double batch yesterday.

MNP My oopsie rolls are reasonably flat and they sink once out of the oven. I wouldn't say they are as flat as pancakes though. My first batch weren't as good as the second. For the second batch I used a soft silicone spatula to fold instead of a hard plastic one, that is the only thing different.

Do you think I should cut out the cheesey coleslaw BIWI? I only have it as I thought it would be a way of getting fat and veg at once.

MrsNouveauRichards · 22/04/2012 19:07

Evening all.

B - scrambled eggs
L - roast chicken and veg (yummy) and a teeny helping of brownie and icecream (smaller than my toddler had)
D - chicken stirfry

Going to make some cheese crisps for this evening as feeling hungry already.

Exercise - 90 mins of shovelling shit, lugging hay and water around.

Finding drinking water a bit easier today, also finding I am not looking for snacks anymore, so even with the odd cheat I think I would still lose weigh, just slower. I am not having to bargain with myself the whole time either, if I ever try cutting out stuff to lose weight I find myself saying "if I eat really healthily today I can have chips/pudding/cake" my whole attitude to eating really is changing Shock

MNP · 22/04/2012 19:10

Thanks vumum they are puffy maybe 4-5 mms high but are good.

Please Forgive me I made the Oopsie doughnut recipe and added a natural fruit sugar syrup to them and ate 8 .... Oops 24 carbs.

On thepositive they are all gone now so will be good and am not making anymore.

slowlyburningcalories · 22/04/2012 19:23

I just had a weeny bowl of roared nuts. In my defence I have eaten utterly carb free today, I have drunk my water AND avoided caffiene and DH won't have dinner ready till 8. I am waaaaay past hungry.

now just has to avoid the rest of the bag

FauxFox · 22/04/2012 20:18

I braved the buffet unscathed Grin

I ate brie, stilton, cheddar, coleslaw, olives and lettuce leaves.

I did not eat choc brownies, french bread, biscuits, sausages, sausage rolls, quiche, cakes, rice salad, jelly, grapes, strawberries or ice-cream.

It wasn't that hard actually. Am a bit hungry now so having a celery stick with blue cheese. I was going to make makerel pate or tuna salad but tbh i'm too tired and cba! Peppermint tea and watching Homelands at 9pm then bed for me!

BettyBathroom · 22/04/2012 20:47

I had a good day food wise

B Handful of Almonds
L Coconut & tofu stir fry
D Cumberland Sausage with butternut squash & swede mash & celeriac gratin

Snacks - a few marinated olives

Exercise - 7km run & 5k walk

Did have a few sneaky glasses of red this avo - will be off wine for the rest of the week....I hope!

BIWIWhoMustBeObeyed · 22/04/2012 20:47

MNP - why did you do that? Why the drive to self-sabotage?!
