The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONSCIOUSLY
  4. STOP eating when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches. So forget diets; they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. This is a new way of living for your brand new life!!

The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here are the book choices on AMAZON which is all you need to get started! they aren't compulsory, but they do help! it's something to refer to and listening to the cd's can really focus you.

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

Please feel free to join us, whether it's 10lbs or 10 stones you want to lose.
We are friendly, supportive and successful, but we're not hungry OH NO we're not!!! so come on in and start living your new life today!

Hi pp! Pretty good ATM actually, numbers on the dreaded scales very slowly creeping down again Smile in spite of being on a 2 day cooking course at the weekend. Food was very rich so quite small portions so managed to be quite sensible for me back to the old principle really eat what you want but stop when your full but actually served up in real life - what a revelation Grin

arfur · 28/06/2012 20:30

Oh and I've invested in some bladder wrack tablets a la o pos blood group diet info - just so you know I have been paying attention pp! Wink

BigBoobiedBertha · 28/06/2012 20:35

Ooh

Are we in a quiche then?

I've never been in a MN quiche (assuming we have one and I'm allowed in)

Or any quiche come to that....

or a gang

or a posse

or a brigade

Trying to read the other thread, with a view to putting my oar in but the blasted thing isn't loading.

arfur · 28/06/2012 20:38

Grin at BBB - erm quiche?!?!

FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!

JustFabulous · 28/06/2012 21:29

How many eggs is okay? And do you mean they will stop me pooing?

Erm, I do about 4 a day so that would be fine and Weetabix makes me poo so I can't eat anything!!!

HaveALittleFaith · 28/06/2012 21:33

Grin at BBB! How cute are you?!

Ok MamaEmily, I found my book. Here are some veggie proteins - one portion each- FYI the cups are American:
Cottage cheese 2/3 cup
Eggs 2
Black beans (cooked) 2/3 cup
Soy beans 1/3 cup
Kidney beans (cooked) 3/4 cup
Lentils (cooked) 1/2 cup
Lima beans 3/4 cup
Tofu 170g
Quorn chicken style dippers 75g
Quorn low fat mince 125g
Quorn Cumberland sausage 1 1/2 links

So now you know!! Grin

Mmm I had a yummy omelette for tea - lots of peppers, basil ham abd cheese with lettuce and rocket on the side! Strawberries and a crunchie ice cream for pudding. Delicious!

arfur · 28/06/2012 21:34

Justfab - wow do you really eat 4 eggs a day? I have chickens so I really love eggs as ours are so fresh, do you have chooks?

arfur · 28/06/2012 22:12

arfur · 28/06/2012 22:13

JustFabulous · 28/06/2012 22:22

it really is quiche! Grin

arfur · 28/06/2012 22:30

Oh crikey! I'm so out of touch - you probably wont let me be in it now

Solo · 28/06/2012 23:14

Grin Oh you lot!! you've cheered me up and made me giggle! Yes, we must be a clique quiche (it's just a word swap thingy designed to be funny arfur! ) I've never been in a quiche either; how exciting!!!!!!!!

So, it's almost time for a new thread which, with all your permissions, I will deal with when necessary and I will make us a cliquey moany thread too. Shall we let anyone undesirables in? or just us?!

OP posts:
Solo · 28/06/2012 23:21

And thanks for sticking up for me over there too :)

OP posts:
arfur · 28/06/2012 23:35

solo permission granted from me - perhaps the moaney thread title could be something to do with our new quiche (so excited about being in a quiche) Grin

Solo · 28/06/2012 23:36

Oooh! good! One vote for then.

I know! about the quiche! what fun! we all sound a bit like outcasts don't we? never been in a quiche before and we're all on here!!! Grin

Yes yes to a quiche thread to moan on! Shall we put it in OTBT so that we don't get randoms barging on unless they too are doing PMK?

I am on a couple of quiche threads but this will be the nicest Grin

Solo · 29/06/2012 00:22

Oooh! good idea OTBT. Will sort it soon then :)

OP posts:
BigBoobiedBertha · 29/06/2012 00:31

Oops, yes arfur the quiche was deliberate. A MN word for clique. I am an old gimmer and have clearly been on MN too long and now am no longer able to remember how to use normal language. Blush

Solo - I reckon that should have been 'such fun' rather than 'what fun' although now, in my head you are Patricia Hodge.Grin

A chatty thread, rather than just moany (although I am all for moaning, whinging and general belly aching as well as chat) would be lovely. We could somehow incorporate PMcK in the title to put off skinny minnies people who are not Pauling. I am all for that.

The only problem will be differentiating between Pauling and non-Pauling as sometimes they overlap but I am sure with our shiny new quiche we shall muddle through. Smile

MardyBra · 29/06/2012 00:45

Not sure if you are joking or not, but I think Otbt isnt that great an idea. It could stop people finding us and discovering Pauling. Or thinking it is an exclusive thread.

Personally I'm happy with the thread as it is, and maybe we could take it to another thread if it looks like the Pauling is being hijacked too much.

Solo · 29/06/2012 00:52

No no Mardy the weight thread will remain in the normal active threads; it'll just be the chat for 'us' that'll be OTBT. The biggest obstacle I can see is that OTBT threads disappear 30 days after they start at OP.

OP posts:
Solo · 29/06/2012 00:54

Mind you, we might all get fed up of the moans and groans/lack of topics before 30 days is up! Grin

Mama I eat a mainly vege diet, with the exception of fish. I was actually talking about protein at work with vegetarian colleagues the other day - foods that fill you up. They said mainly eggs, cheese (sorry, I know you said it is a danger area) and pulses (lentils, chickpeas are great, beans). There is, of course, quorn and soya alternatives (try supermarket or wholefood shop). I do eat quorn, but friends don't because of it being so highly processed. They also suggested aubergines, not for protein but for meaty texture. I think the key is to have a variety and to eat fat. A little good fat, like olive oil or avocado, helps to fill you up as well. Carbohydrate leaves you wanting more. I hope this makes sense. IMO one of the best vege writers has always been Sarah Brown. I got bought her 'Healthy Living' cookbook as a teenager, and it is brilliant and guides you with nutritional content of everything. She doesn't cook with any meat substitutes:

www.amazon.co.uk/HEALTHY-LIVING-COOK-SARAH-BROWN/dp/0863187390/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340949651&sr=8-1

Hope this helps Smile.

Sorry if I've been dragging everyone down with my miserable ways. I am starting to get worried that I am like a stuck record of woe.

On the up, I started listening to my CD again 2 days ago, and am feeling a bit brighter already. Must keep going...

MardyBra · 29/06/2012 07:21

Sorry solo was getting confused.

Nice to "see" you kinky. I hope things are Ok with dd atm. My goodness, you are going through so much that it must be hard to function at times. Of course nobody is complaining. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit brighter.
