Rianoceros · 09/03/2012 08:25

is that you connie?????? If so, your FB updates about your groups are fab. Well done for being an inspirationSmile

bookmarking, kids to kick out to school and study to do. and bloody DS1 ate my breakfast!

Huffpot · 09/03/2012 09:04

Ooooh nice new and shint fluffs up a cushion and gets comfy

I forgot to mention last week but on my way home from swimming last Friday I popped into DP's favourite chicken place to get him his Friday night takeaway and the man in there told me I'd lost weight - was very pleased with myself

So lots of exercise today-off to podiatrist for dodgy feet(hate having my feet touched),then playgroup, and then home, kids to bed and off swimming then home. I walk everywhere so exercise today will be over 2 hours. I feel tired already and havent even started yet!

Hi Natz and welcome. Ive done WW in the past too and wish I'd found SW years ago!

Food today
Breakfast: Omlette with loads of veg and wedges
Lunch: Prob just some fruit as will be on the run
Dinner: am contemplating making smash pizza to heat up when I get home so its my own version of takeaway

grinningbee · 09/03/2012 09:42

Morning all!

Not much to report today. Feel like I'm living in a whirlwind, but also a bit in limbo. Wish I knew when we could see in the house. Need to get some boxes (going to ask in Asda if they have any old ones I can have) and start packing some stuff up.

Someone is coming to inspect our place on Wednesday, so a bit less clutter would help.

I am officially a food disaster zone. I'm also a bit scared of the op, especially with the two dc. Still, I will find out a bit more in a couple of weeks. I don't think Thing realises that I won't be quite able to carry on as normal straight away... Hmm He thinks I'll be able to drive straight away . I remember how I felt when I had my gallbladder out, even though that was 17 years ago.

Oh well. At least it won't be for a while.

Right, time to try and get stuff done with my two grumpy kids. Joy joy!

Found you!

Just marking my place. Prob won't post much now as in chaos with party planning and visitors arriving.Smile

pixiestix · 09/03/2012 12:08

'Lo.

kid · 09/03/2012 12:55

Found you!

kid · 09/03/2012 17:17

I've been good all week and I intend to be good all weekend (should be quite easy as DH is working) but I really want a takeaway tonight. Its our usual end of week treat and I am tired and lazy and blah blah blah!

Anyway, would it be so bad if I had a takeaway tonight?
I'm having a green day today and I've had 1 HEb and no syns. I guess we could have chinese (chicken chowmein) but my kids would probably complain as they don't really like chinese. If only I could please everyone!

FairhairedandFrustrated · 09/03/2012 20:26

Yes, it's me :) thank-you! (Trying to figure out who you are on my friends list now) ha!

I love being a consultant, it's a lot of hard work, but so rewarding. Have to say you girls are all a fab support to each other.

I do lurk from time to time, I love reading the menus and think csws should apply for a job Wink

SlinkyB · 09/03/2012 20:47

Marking spot! Sorry not been around much, life taking over, blah blah blah. Still within target range, so that's good.

Welcome Natz - our stats are very similar, I was almost 13st when I started on here last July, and am now at my target of 11st - stick around, it can be done, esp with the fab support on this thread Smile

Enjoy your Friday nights all x

Hedgepig · 09/03/2012 21:15

Natz we have pretty much identical stats too
same start weight 14st 11lb
Same target 11st (which I'm at hoot hoot)
I'm an inch taller and considerably older (46) , but you really can get to your target it is totally realistic, good luck

It's was my day off today and I have been running around like a headless chicken as usual. A builder came round to look at the plans for the extension I am soooooo excited. DH is dead grumpy worrying about the money which is important but I wish he would at least have an opinion on the plans Ho hum. I've been playing with the Ikea kitchen planner, I am just a tad obsessed with kitchen at the moment Grin

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/03/2012 21:16

Oh Thing is in for a bit of a shock then bee. I had my gallbladder out last year, when I had 3 children, and the hardest bit was not being able to pick up the then 8 month old at all, because he just didn't understand it. As soon as I was able to drive again I managed to slam my thumb in the door of the landrover and ended up back in hospital Hmm. I hope that you can find someone else to look after you and the dc properly, or that Thing steps up to the plate .

Blush fh&f. I could do with a job actually...

Hedgepig · 09/03/2012 21:22

I think you'd be good at it CSWS , looking at my own "light on nobody at home" consultant you would be a million times better Grin

FairhairedandFrustrated · 09/03/2012 22:42

Oh dear Hedgepig - I always worry people say that about me too! When I read comments about consultants I always scan details to see if they're my members!

Csws do you attend a group? If so, the consultant should give you details up forthcoming opps events. Go along to one and see what you think :)

Have just had a lovely raspberry Activia snackpot, usually buy mullers, this Activia was far creamier and tastier!!

Have you all tasted the new peanut heaven hifi bar yet? Very moreish if you're into nuts

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/03/2012 22:57

Yes I do go to a group. Is it too personal to ask what sort of money one can reasonably expect to make from it? I was quite well paid in my previous career (accountant/finance systems consultant) and can't imagine it comparing well financially, which means that dh would just roll his eyes if I even suggested it. I don't think it's an option for right now anyway, as I need to be at home for kid's bedtime every day still at the moment.

grinningbee · 10/03/2012 07:41

Morning!

CSWS Thing is in for a major shock, oh yes Grin.

He's annoyed me already, and it's only 7.30 Hmm. He parked my car up to the number plate of our horrible neighbour blocking her in last night, so she shouted through the window at him. I've told him not to be deliberately antagonistic, but noooo.... he enjoys it. Arse. And he was asleep before 9pm again, came home stinking of booze. Not surprising that "things" haven't happened in this household for 5 months now.

He's gone out already leaving me to get the dc breakfasted and changed etc etc. We get to go and pick him in later this morning.

The dc and me are watching the Muppet Show Grin. Piiiiiigs iiiiin Spaaaace!

Hi i was hoping i could join in? I have been pointed this way by Thescarletpimpernel as i had posted a thread askng for a bit of help.

Im doing slimming world from home and weigh in on a saturday morning.

Start weight 5th Jan - 14st 8lb
Current weight 10th March - 13st 9lb
Total loss - 13lbs

Goal date and weight - 26th May 12st

I would also like to thank tsp and anyone else who gave advice on last thread about portion size, eating superfreee and trying not to snack between meals as it blardy well worked and this week i lost a staggering 6.5lb, so so pleased.

Meal plan today;

B - 2 quorn sauasages and Scrambled egg
L - small bowl of left over chilli topped with a bag of steam fresh veg
D - Irish colcannon pie from SW web site.
9if any one has made this, what do you do with the bovril paste, do you mix with water first or bung in with the tinned toms?

HA - semi skimmed milk (used in coffees)
HB - not planned that that in yet, not sure what to have.

Hedgepig · 10/03/2012 09:52

Wow 6.5lb is amazing, welcome make yourself at himejust playing tea parties with DS2 back. later

Natznjamesnbubs · 10/03/2012 10:18

Breakie: bran flakes banana and milk and a bit splenda
Lunch:wholewheat pasta with a steamfresh bag of broccolli peas and carrot and tinned tomatoes

whats everyone upto today? im going to a charity ball tonight so getting ready for that. my baba got me up at 20 past 6 so its going to be a lloooonggg day xx

kid · 10/03/2012 11:24

I'm still plodding along following SW. We had chinese takeaway last night which is 7 syns for chicken chowmein on a green day so thats fine. I did have a handful of chips and a splodge of curry sauce which should all be synned but I chose to turn a blind eye to those Grin

Today I'm planning a red day and I know what I'm meant to be having so lets hope I can stick with it. I did pinch 2 cookies this morning to have with my tea but no more biscuits, I promise.

DD has gone to the cinema for the first time with her friends. I dropped them off as one had forgotten her buspass but they are going to make their own way back after. They are going for lunch after the film and will come back here after that. I sort of feel okay about it, as long as I don't think for too long about her being out without me!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/03/2012 13:52

Natz - have you found the pages in your book now that tell you the portion sizes for your healthy extras? You will be in for a shock when you start weighing your cereal Grin. I could easily eat 4-6 portions of museli in one sitting!
When you say that you had prawn cocktail, you presumably didn't have cocktail sauce with it, as that is loaded with syns? And did you remember to make 1/3 of your dinner superfree, as you haven't mentioned it in your list? (you will soon suss that I am the thread's diet monitor Grin)

Welcome MIS. Shock at 6.5lb in a week. Will you be sharing your food diaries here so that we can see how you do it?

Talking of which, I have been remiss with mine again, so here's one for yesterday:

GREEN day
B wholewheat spaghetti + cheese (HEa)
L baked spud, prawns (HEb), homemade coleslaw (2 syns), salad, balsamic
D homemade bean & veg chilli & brown rice + cheese (HEa)
snack: graze box copacabana (brazil nuts, milk choc discs, dark choc discs) 9 syns plus HEb for the nuts

pixiestix · 10/03/2012 14:24

Diet monitor CSWS, can I ask your advice? I'm going to a girly night next week and everyone is bringing bits and pieces of food - so far it loks like we are going to be eating cheese, houmous, guacamole, other dippy things, different types of bread, some homemade pizza and then crumble for dessert Confused I really dont want to be the boring one who brings carrot sticks and celery. Is there anything fun and tasty that springs to mind that I could take? Or which bits of the things they are bringing can I eat without it turning into a 100syn night? Sad I'm a bit lost.
